Ordered this online from best buy because our local one didn't have it in stock. Arrived and set up was eaay. Unolugged it ro move it ro it's final home and it wouldn't power back on. Left it for a day, plugged it in again and it worked. Cycled the power on it again after rinning for a time. Again wouldn't power on. Returned it ro local best buy and they ordered me another one. So far so good on #2. 5 stars for best buy easy returns.

Great router! Covers my 2800sqft home, even when placed at the far end. Over 20 devices attached and little to no lag or buffering. Interface is good, with settings easy to find. A good price, when on sale, to of it all, especially compared to the mesh router the consultant tried to sell me on. Very Happy!

Works flawlessly with WAN aggregation. Finally getting wireless speed tests above 1 Gbps. Amazing app that is super responsive, with plenty of free powerful features that other manufacturers typically charge subscriptions for. You definitely raised the bar of what consumers should expect in terms of features and performance

Purchased on sale. Excellent value for the speed and ease setup is. A note for anyone wanting to use harddrive through usb ports, make sure you format or use new drive, otherwise router unable to properly operate. Range and Speed very impressive, covers 2300 sq ft space easily.

Fantastic product... actually bought this router as a member of the AiMesh and a RT-AX86U as the primary router. These products are in my opinion the best home router for those interested in making specific tweaks more in depth configurations. I'm not using the TrendMicro features as I have no interest in sending all my data to a 3rd party. Even without those features enabled this device exceeds performance from Netgear and Linksys equipment that I have owned over the years. Signal is rock solid and the devices handles 42 connected wireless devices in my home without issue. I finally had enough with Netgear RAX120 and RAX200 routers. I've been thinking about making the switch to Asus for my home needs and I do not regret the decision. I have a better WIFI network for half the price of the competitors.

Excellent router, covers the whole home and is blazing fast

It fit the bill for what I needed it to do with is provide maximum network speed. Paird with a Netgear cm1200 modem that's exactly what this thing does since I'm getting 1.2 gbps wireless....if you know how to set it up properly that is

Been a solid WiFi router since purchasing it. Had handled many things In thrown at it. Fast! Used it on my my 1GB Internet connection. Gamed and streamed with multiple devices at same time.

I use this Wi-Fi router for my events because I do concerts. It has zero latency. I can use my phone, my laptop and my entire Production system on this one router, my entire backstage functions on this it is simply an amazing router with great range and zero speed drops.

Recently got 1gig fiber internet service and old router wasn’t giving me the best wifi speed. Was getting 400-500 mbps wifi speed from close range (same room and next room over) but with this router getting around 700 mbps. Range is good. Easy set up and works flawlessly.

I have purchased over 5 Asus routers over the years. I have never been disappointed in the quality and performance. The AX86s does not disappoint. The GUI is the most comprehensive yet easy to use. The range and speeds are excellent.

Bought this to replace my Fios router and what a difference it made. I didnt realize how much I missed managing my own router and the flexibility. With the growing number of wireless devices in my house, I was able to give away my extender, needed for the Fios router, and all of my devices connect and operate just fine. I also didn't realize how much I used wirelessly in the home until I looked at the device map in the app. With teens in the house, I can easily restrict and monitor traffic on any device. Router is in basement of townhouse and where spotty for the Fios router, not one hiccup on the top floor on the opposite side of the house. Coming from Dlink, Airlink, Linksys routers in the past, this is my first Asus and I'm impressed. I will definitely use this brand again.

I was looking for a high performance yet reasonably priced router to function as an access point for my desktop PC I had to move upstairs away from my Ethernet connection. I have gigabit fiber internet. I already have a Eero system which is excellent for reliability and coverage, but it won’t deliver gigabit speeds and it’s not designed for that either. I added this router, wired it to the eero, set the asus to access point mode (so the eero is still the main router) and it delivers flawless gigabit upload and download through about 2 walls and 10 feet away. Excellent, just what I was looking for. No reliability issues so far either. Recommended for smaller houses or for specific use cases like mine. Recommended for those with networking knowledge.

Bought it for work office when the office device gave out. IT went with this one instead of the one he brought with provided. Never had a problem since.
