Fast but Very Unstable.

However, it’s far more unstable. Wireless networks frequently goes down. Wired network goes down often as well. This is after updating to latest ASUS firmware too. If you search the net, you’ll see the only way for most people to get this router to be stable is to install Merlin firmware…thats right, you have to install 3rd party firmware for stability, to me this is unacceptable for a $300 router. Thus, I returned it. Purchase this router with the knowledge you will likely need to install the Merlin firmware for stability.

Could be defective device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this today to upgrade my old tp link spend all afternoon trying to set it up the router shows all is connected but no Internet either wireless or wired connection using multiple devices I had to use a USB to update the firmware reset it and went through set up process multiple times check all settings. Even tho the router shows an IP and it's connected but when testing the connection using their app no Internet check Ethernet directly to PC shows connection but no Internet used different laptop same issue. Connected old router everything is working fine will be returning this device
