    Bought in May, broken by December. We tried everything under the sun and it won’t work. It doesn’t even show up in WiFi to connect to.

    Started to fail after just 3 months of very light use. No gaming in our home and just two adults. Won’t purchase another asus product again!

    Very frustrating experience purchasing this router. Neither online chat nor in store customer service was able to help. Will not shop here again, sad as I once stopped my weekly.

    Worked fine for 3 weeks and woke up this morning to a dead router. Soft and hard resets both failed. It’s now an expensive paperweight.

    bad defective product. disconnects devices

    defective model. this router will disconnect most 2.4ghz devices after a few days. only recourse is to constantly reboot router. no firmware fixes.

    I bought this to replace my old router that buffered a lot, but this one buffers just as much and its in a small room. Also it can be a pain to setup

    Buy This Router!! Better Yet Buy Two!!

    This is the pro version of the Asus 86S/U lineup meaning it has more memory and processors than the 86S. When you buy 2 of these you can set one up as an AP access point or AiMesh to extend the range serious distances and increase speed of devices further away or seperated by walls and floors. In the VPN Fusion section, create multiple VPN connections with your VPNs ovpn config files and assign devices like TVs and laptops to whichever connection you want. In addition to hiding your traffic from your ISP and trackers, you can stop seeing woke commercials on Youtube by changing your location to Hungary or any country that doesn't push forced diversity and social engineering i.e not US UK France Germany. You will most likely need to use a US based VPN connection for US Netflix etc. For advanced users you can load the Merlin custom firmware in place of Asus and do what advanced users do. If you are just a basic user, setup is very easy. Just name all your networks, setup STRONG passwords and enable your firewall. Disable UpnP also.

    I had such an amazing experience at the southpoint Durham location. I was in the hunt for a new TV and had narrowed down to 3 choices. One of the tv options i had in mind didnt have a demo running. While i was looking at the TV, a very friendly blue shirt saw my plight and quickly helped turn the demo on. From there i was able to use their knowledge to better direct my decision as well. Once i was checking out i counted 4 seperate instances of verifying i had everything to ensure i had what i needed for my product - HDMI cables, mounting hardware, assistance with setup or delivery, and even a reccomendation of what to watch! What a solid team. I never had to hunt for help. Will be back and will be telling my friends to come to this location!

    The setup on this router was very easy and had better documentation as compared to a different notorious brand. There was no shady connection site and no shady monthly fee involved. This thing just works!

    I'm using this as a Quest Pro Access Point. Seems to work great. Easy set up. The wifi speed is consistent. I was using another router but this was an improvement.
