    Product is as decribed. The router is an excellent product. We upgraded from the stock router our internet provider provided. Wow what a difference. I highly recommend.

    Seems to work fine, I just think it is a bit big for my space. I don't do gaming or download a lot. My grandson recommended it. He is a "techie" and wanted me to have the best.

    Out of every kind of router I’ve ever had this easily is the best, it made my upload and download speeds go through the roof and I couldint be more satisfied with the purchase. :)

    rt-ax86u pro vs rt-ax86u

    The pro has more storage space than the rt-ax86u. The pro also has a 2.0 Ghz CPU vs a 1.8Ghz CPU in the rt-ax86u which is the biggest difference between the two.

    The router died within a year and the warranty is a go around trying to get it fixed. Basically throw away a bunch of money, and then get some better router. The warranty support is Besbuy contact Asus, Asus tells you contact Bestbuy.

    Asus - Buggiest Routers with Great Marketing

    Asus makes the worst routers, They are plagued with a Watchdog auto firmware update bugs and floods of deauthorization packets, even if you have auto update switched OFF, itll just kick all your devices off the network randomly for anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, to check for a non-existent update! Do you have time for that? I do not. Of course after 2 weeks/30 days your stuck with the most annoying piece of networking hardware. Their updates have not fixed any of these issues littering the search result of google. 3rd party Merlin software is your best bet IF they make it for your model.. Will never but another Asus router again. Of course they do not give 2 pieces and offer no help whatsoever. absolute junk but they have a nice web GUI, thats it!

    do not buy from best buy. Asus send you to best buy and best buy sends you to Asus for repair claims. complete waste of time and money. was t expecting this from Asus. router lasted 7 months.

    Had several ASUS routers this one will probably be good at some point but was defective out of the box.
