Have been using this for just over a month now and have not encountered any problems whatsoever so far! Despite some of the other mentions about buggy app/router, have not personally experienced at all. Previous router was also an Asus and it worked great as well…only reason to upgrade was to capitalize on the higher speeds that my plan allowed. Had been eyeing this router for months, but ended up missing the boat and eventually just bit the bullet on the pro version as had rewards to use up. I don’t necessarily think I needed the pro version so can’t attest to whether it makes any difference in terms of performance. All in all, so far don’t have any complaints about this router and it’s been a trusted brand in my household.

I have been a faithful Netgear router follower for many years but recently have had an ASUS vpn router (RT-AC86U) hiding behind them for my important devices. The ASUS vpn router has never given me any problems so when it came time to upgrade I decided to go with another ASUS and yes, the AX5700 (RT-AX86U) is also a vpn router but I only plan on activated the vpn service if I need to. The AX5700 is an excellent choice if you're looking for just a router or a vpn router, it is fast even though it may look a little funky but I finally did get use to that look with the my first ASUS router!

Excellent wifi 6 router. It instantly boosted my wifi speeds compared to my older router. Super easy setup.

I got this to replace Nighthawk r7900. I thought of getting a mesh setup due to weak wifi signal in some areas of the house. I decided to get this one and all my signal issues are gone. I have great wifi in all areas of my house. I no longer feel the need for a mesh system. I used to have mediocre 2.4Ghz signal in my garage but now have a sturdy connection. Both 2.4Ghz & 5GHz signal strengths far surpass my old router. My ring doorbell use to have pretty low signal, but now it has a strong signal. Better wifi speeds as well. So glad I bit the bullet and got this higher end model.

Very good router. It covers all my apartment and work fine with my 2gb connection. Zero lag while I'm playing online videogames

This router has great range and very fast. It covers my back yard.

A decent budget gaming router. Range reaches the attic where my 2 sons bedrooms are in and both have gaming systems, a ps5 and a Xbox Series X with no complaints about connection issues.

Very good wifi router. The performance is excellent and the ASUS user management interface is very good with customizing nearly every setting. Recommended!

Awesome router!! Has a 2.0GHz processor compared to the original 86U. Great coverage and speed! Works great in a AIMesh set up!!

Amazing router saw a difference immediately after installing but just a little disappointed that everything needs to be resetted if u change the router name multiple times

Works great but didnt fit my needs I already have a mesh network set up and i couldnt figure out how to intergrate this into it

This was extremely easy to set up. It's in the basement and provides great coverage even on the second floor of the house.

Gigabit spectrum internet and it works pretty well. No issues, reliable after purchasing around 6 months ago. Wifi range is good, no issues with coverage anywhere in my house.

Bought this to upgrade to my new 1 gig connection and upgrade my old asus router rt-ac86u. These are a fantastic upgrade from my older router.
