I’ve had this router for a while now. As a big homelab tech guy, it functions well, does everything I need it to, and handles load very well. The range on the router for WiFi is also very good.

Excellent router for the money. Replaced my old Netgear XR500 with this, and it has better range on top of being able to handle 5 people's devices connected at a once over 3 floors. Do make sure to update the firmware after you unbox it before making judgement. When the router was freshly out of the box, my desktop PC had atrocious download speeds over ethernet until I updated the firmware on the router.

First of all It is very easy to use. And you can use dual Wi-fi , game play mode . If you want to play game I recommend it.

Bought one of these 18 months ago and it broke so I had to send it in for service under warranty. ASUS's warranty required me to buy a box to ship it to them in and pay for shipping to get it to them so that they could assess the issue. They told me they would need the unit for 7-10 business days from when they received it to assess and repair (so I would be without a router for 2-3 weeks with shipping times and weekends). It turns out that I was without the router for 22 days. So, I had to buy a new router to cover my needs while I waited for my original router to be repaired. The unit that I received back was new and sealed so after everything I now have two of the same routers for the cost of two routers thanks to ASUS's "warranty".

Used as mesh router with ASUS GT-AX6000 and the system works flawlessly. It was easy to set up and it is nice having the ability to assign stationary devices such as Alexa's to a specific router. It is a good way to balance the number of devices on each router in the mesh system. Would highly recommend!

Very fast internet and very easy to set up! Will be sticking with Asus products in the future.

I have tried other routers in the past many brands But I found that Asus is the best and here is why. Constant firmware updates even when other brands stop supporting theirs, Asus still does Free Security updates other brands want to charge You a subscription I never had one fail even after Years on 24/7 use I will give you a tip if setting up using a wed interface , do not use automatic use manual also search You tube for tips on setting up a Asus router most all modles are basicly the same and ASUS by default leaves some security hole open by default

Love it! It's an upgrade to my RT-AC86U that I placed at the other end of my house as an AI Mesh node for better coverage. Now I have dual Internet connections with a primary 1Gbps and a hot standby 100Gbps, a guest network, and WiFi6 support.

I bought this to replace an apple extreme router. And this was cery easy to set up. I am not great with network setup but this was very easy to go in get my new network up and running. It has a lot of setting for customization its worth the money .
