Easy to set up with the app. I’ve had an older Asus for 9 years. Still working but it’s not VPN compatible. It’s just time to move on and increase security.

Replaced a wireless router that I had for 9 years. Very good speed and coverage with this router.

Connected to about half of the items in the house on the WiFi. Would not connect to many, so called Asus support. Was on the phone close to two hours with support trying to get help, to no avail, eventually support disconnected. Returned the router as it did not work for us.
We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you encountered with device connectivity, which prevented many of your household items from connecting properly. We also regret the extended support call that did not resolve the issue and was ultimately disconnected. Great router just ended up returning needed to get a mesh system to fix my houses need.

I really wanted to like this router, but anything that isn't in relative close proximity constantly lose connection to the internet. Oddly, the devices show strong signal connection with the router, but "No Internet Connection." Turning wifi off/on on the device will get the device connected to the internet again, but I have had to constantly do this with many devices. I went back to my old router and have zero issues. Bummer.

The Asus RT-BE82U is most likely a fine device. I wasn't able to get my older printer connected to the network. The setup instructions aren't written for a novice. I had to revert to my old router, an Apple Extreme.
