    The Best 10" Tablet Period

    Posted .

You can put this thing head to head with a Ipad and coming out winning no problem. The screen is extremely sharp compared to others and looks as good if not better than the ipad. I have 2 of these and I did my research all over the internet to see what people were saying before I bought this item. One site had 4,000 reviews and comments on it and accumatively scored a 4.5 out of 5. The nvidia processor on this thing is extremely fast. It has Corning Gorilla Glass for durability and scratch resistance. Anybody who knows anything about ASUS, knows they are a top tier computer company respected around the world. At $399 the price I paid it was well worth it. The keyboard to me was not necessary, but at least its available if needed. Anyone who is unhappy with this item won't be happy with any tablet. Battery life is been close to 10 hours for me. Nice Big GPS mapping for road trips. BUY IT!

    Love this tablet

I looked a long time at this product category. The ASUS Transformer was the best value by far. It has the most flexibility. First, get the 16GB and add a 16GB MICROSD card. The card is $25 to $50 and save money over buying the 32GB tablet. Add the key board dock, you'll love the extra 8 hours of battery life it gives you PLUS it's a great way to watch movies vs. holding it. The keyboard also gives you the USB port and a regular SD card for all kinds of flexibility. Last, the tablet comes with a program that allows you to use all the Microsoft Office Suite files like Excel, Word, and Power Point without adding apps. It is by far the most versatile tablet and the cheapest. I spent $600 and ended up with a tablet, keyboard, 32GB storage, and can use all my SD and jump drives with it.

Blows away the Apple Ipad 1 or 2

I got mine on Black Friday for the special price of $249.99 + tax. What an incrediable deal. This is my first tablet and I just love it. It is lightning fast, got the extra 16gb micro sd card to increase its storage. Also picked up the dock which was $50.00 off on Black Friday also, so got an awesome tablet setup for just a great price. Asus is known for making a strong, reliable, well built product. They back it up with a 1 year warranty which is nice. The 3.2 Honeycomb operating system runs great along with the nvidia tegra 2 processor. The 10.1 gorilla glass screen is nice and bright and very responsive to personal touch or using a stylis. The built in wireless connects very easy to any wi-fi/hot spot. Love the expandability that this tablet offers. Battery life is just as described and when you add the dock it just gets even better. Being new to using a tablet I am still getting use to using the android market place and how to use the apps to get the most out of them. Learning something new each time I use this tablet. It is just great and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to branch out into the tablet world. Don't waste your money on an Ipad, the ASUS Tablets just beat them hands down.

A great Transformer that beats iPad2

    Posted .

This is so far the best on the market with balance of price and performance. Unlock your freedom from iPad that limited your space. The app is not so many as the iPad store, as you already know, but cools down that most of the app you like can also be found in the Android world. You may unleash yourself from the worry of app, really, just like me. You can even find the Transformer function that iPad can not give you such as GPS that works without wifi. It used the Google map that save your money in updating the map as well.

Not so hot glitch after 2 months

    Posted .

My son bought this tablet with his hard earned money ($430) and had it two months, all was great. Better than Ipad2 and then...... it stopped taking a charge, I ended up sending it to Texas for repair at my shipping cost($12) to them. Found out they only ship it RMA back to me one time under warrantee. It came back with a new $15 wall charger and cord. It got used that day for a couple hours. The next day it wouldnt power on. After dealing with support again, they paid full shipping to send it back to them. I Was gonna buy another one for myself but now am not. In for repair twice in 2 months. Dont buy, its a lemon for $400 or even $100. I bought an HP desktop with W7 Premium for $400 I havent had a problem with, so why so much trouble for such a pricey tablet? Other reviews I have found since then have had a simular problem. Beware. Watch for positive reviews from those that have only had it for a few weeks or less. Take them lightly as they have not had much time with it to be giving it a true review.

    Ipad2 Killer

    Posted .

In comparison to the Ipad2: the Transformer has a larger screen with better resolution, faster processor, and more easily expandable with built in micro sd slot. You get all of these on the Transformer for about half the price of the Ipad2! I picked my transformer up on black Friday at Best Buy for $250. Although the regular retail price of the Transformer is around $400, look for this price to start dropping as the latest version of the Asus tablet, the Transformer Prime, comes to the market. The Ipad has two advantages over the Transformer and they are the app market and relative size and weight of the tablets. The Android app market which the Transformer uses is growing at a faster pace than the Apple app market so this advantage will disappear in the future. With the addition of the Transformer's keyboard dock, this tablet adds an SD card slot, a USB slot, and battery life of 16+ hours! This peripheral makes the Transformer better than any other tablet and many laptops on the market.

    Exceptionally competitive with IPAD

This was a gift for my Son in law. I took the liberty of making sure it would work with some functions I knew he would want. like Skype and Netflix. I would give this product a 5 for picture quality and featers built in like HDMI out. I give the company a 4 becuase of no real owners manual....meaning something that actually shows you how to navigate and use at least some of the software. Admittedly folks that buy these devices usually are quite computer literate. So I fiugured out how to use it but could not figure how to use Netflix. Part of the problem is that you just can't go to your browser and go to the site like your laptop. You have to download an application...Silly me for not knowing that. So I called customer---unsupport to find out how to play netflix on this device. The service rep actually had no clue about apps and insisted that Netflix would not work. He was wrong

    Fantastic screen, Fast processor.

    Posted .

I could not justify spending a $350+ on a tablet until I bought this one for black Friday because of the very attractive price on that particular day and I am glad I did. I have been enjoying this tablet since. The overall quality of the ASUS tablet is really good. It feels solid and is fast. The quality of the screen is fantastic, rivalling with the IPAD2's screen both for the touch screen sensitivity and the aspect. Android honeycomb is a huge improvement over 2.1. I am now thinking about adding the optional docking keyboard. Like other tablets it does not replace my laptop that I use mostly for business but for everyhing else it is awesome. I like te fact that it takes less than 15sec to be ready to use from a cold start as opposed to 1mn or more for my Windows laptop. Excellent tablet overall.

    awesome tablet

    Posted .

Bought it primarily for business use (work in healthcare) to access records when needed. But use it a lot at home for quick check of email, etc. Bought it at Christmas so still learning how to use the full potential. But videos are sharp, access to the web is very fast. When my co-workers see it they are very impressed that the keyboard can be disconnected and then use just the tablet. The only odd thing I have noticed is that the icons don't come on screen unless I connect the keyboard and then they pop up almost immediately. I think this might be a setting issue (it's looking for the keyboard to open) I have not experienced a crash or a self-shut down and it is on all day. I have been totally satisfied especially because I got it on sale and the keyboard was a Christmas gift!!

    Not intuitive

    Posted .

Two hours in line and 2 hours to checkout plus the Black Friday price is what my husband paid for this. We were looking at an IPAD also but liked the Flash, the extra memory and the fact this could be turned into a pretty normal netbook with the accessory dock. Some people think that Android is intuitive but it is NOT! Pinching, squeezing, swiping and flicking are not computer terms I am familiar with however, you will need to learn them in order to utilize a tablet. Locate and join a Forum specific to your tablet in order not to get frustrated. I added the dock which gave me additional battery charge and storage. All in for for far less than the basic IPAD and I'm pretty happy. Nice screen, poor sound with the speaker on the bottom!

    Solid, Fantastic Honeycomb Tablet!

    Posted .

After I purchased this tablet, at the Black Friday price, I found out why this won so many awards. This is a well made, pretty fast device! I had an iPad before this for a while and my curiosity got the best of me, so I sold it and then when the ASUS was available, I went for it. I was very pleased with how smooth it was, though the rectangle shape was different for me and took a little while to adjust to. I really enjoyed it, but after a month, I just lost interest in it. I guess even though it was very capable, and pretty zippy, it became boring to me, and I really can't explain what it was. Needless to say, I sold it, and now have nothing, at least not until March or April. However, that's just me.

This is a great Android tablet to have

This is a great product. Period. If you are looking for an Android tablet then this has got to be it. It has all - the looks, the power and the openness of Android and access to thousands of applications through the Android marketplace. I have been using this to build and test my own app and it is an excellent device. It is thin, light, powerful, has a great display, runs Android and you cannot beat the price. I just got a cover and stand from Amazon for @19.99 and the product is good to go. Get this if you can - really a great addition to your gadget family. I love mine.

    Great value tablet

    Posted .

I owned iPad1 and iPad2. Recently I decided to try a Android Pad. After read lots of review, I narrow down to ASUS Transformer and Lenovo K1. I choose ASUS because it is slightly lighter. After I got this Pad, I am 90% percentage happy with the hardware. It meets all my expectation except the battery can run only about 6 hours if surfing internet. I found it could last about 9 hours if watching video stream. The hardware is better than iPad1. However the software is too weak. Web browsing works well but it is difficult to find other quality apps.

    Couldn't be happier

I bought the Asus Transformer on Black Friday at a pretty steep discount. I had done my research and a trusted colleague rated the Asus as his top pick in Droid Tablets, so when I saw the Black Friday sale, I figured I couldn't go wrong. The functionality of the tablet is fabulous. It does everything I wanted it for. The Asus is just as quick as any other tablet I have tried and faster than most, including the internet processing speeds. I like mine so much, my brother just bought one too!

    Excellent

Excellent product. Fast, great for all apps. Easy to set up and add apps to it both on the tablet or by sending it to the tablet from a computer. Long battery life which can nearly double when using the add-on keyboard/ docking station. Not the greatest sound, but decent. In a car you can always hook it up to cars radio using the headphone connection if your can had an input. Battery lasts up to 16hrs with the docking station. This product in fact is so good that I purchased a second one.

    excellent product

Bought this transformer while it is on sale at BB under three hundreds in December 2011. After purchasing and using it for couple weeks, I am very satisfied with its value vs. price ratio and its performance in speed and battery. I also own a iPad G1, and this definitely out performs that. Among other factors, I am mostly sold because Android ebook apps >> iOS ebook apps. Office is included too for free. This is excellent product to get for reading, writing (with dock) and light gaming.

    Good tablet

    Posted .

The tablet was good, but the customer service was horrible on the phone and then in person when i came to pick it up. If i ordered one to be picked up there should be one there when i get there. I even called prior to picking it up. The girl said that there was one left because it was selling out so fast. Took 30 minutes for her find the product. There was a line behind me and no one was around to help or didn't know how to help. Hire better people please.
