So far I really enjoy this laptop but even when I turn it to 100 volume the sound is extremely low. Not sure if I got a defective one or it’s like that with all of them.

    FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE! LOVE This Machine!!!

TLDR = "10 out of 10 out of 10! Yee Haw!" This beast means business! Love it! Recommend it 10,000%. Best Machine I have had in a decade! My new "go to" for everything and it has single handedly retired a desktop, 3 laptops (one brand new, 3 weeks old) and a tablet! This TUF Gaming Laptop is like Nectar Of The Gods to me! LOVE IT! For realzzzz! I am not going to talk about the specs or get into benchmark testing result numbers…although they are Very Impressive! I would rather talk about real world use and my experience with the laptop. I game and I edit content and this is BY FAR the nicest and best performing laptop that I have had in the last decade! I Love this machine and I would wholeheartedly and with no regrets, fully recommend this TUF Gaming Laptop to anyone who is in the market for a HIGH PERFORMANCE Machine that is ready to go straight out of the box. Speaking of the box, it was a nice box and I thought it was pretty slick. I liked it so much that I kept it. This machine comes with so many options and software control centers that the user can pick their favorite from the GEFORCE EXPERIENCE, ARMOURY CRATE, MyASUS and, of course Windows if it is just a day where I'm feeling “basic." The back-lit keyboard is beautiful and fully customizable with color, color patterns, brightness, etc. Same can be said for battery management, performance setting, display and graphics, etc. This can be dialed in juuuuust the way you like it and the WASD keys are transparent and easy to identify. Furthermore, the keyboard is well designed and very comfortable to type on and even the number pad is really good. I had concerns when I first saw the number pad, as it looked “condensed” from left to right compared to what I was using on my other 15.6” laptop but once I started using it, I settled right in and I have no complaints. I can type for a long time very comfortably and even doing invoicing and running my business and using the side number pad for extended times is actually much nicer than my old machine and I make less mistakes. Gaming: Gaming on the TUF with the 14th Gen i7 and 16 GB RAM is buttery smooth and personally I have not experienced anything to complain about to even anything “worthy of note” other than the fact that I have played with PC titles direct from SSD, Cloud titles and remote XBOX both with and without an XBOX controller and everything was F L A W L E S S ! Super smooth game play, no lag, stutters or jitters. No dropped connections and even on a network with only 200 mbps download and 19 upload speeds, THIS MACHINE is a champion! I notice that this machine handles things much more “fluidly” than my other laptops and my PC. There's something special about this one and I have really enjoyed using it. The Screen and Colors are NIGHT AND DAY better than my other machines and I have it set up right next to my previous “best” laptop (that I use to run my business and for gaming and continent creation), side by side on my desk and, NO JOKE, I do not like looking back at my old laptop screen after working on this TUF GAMING laptop. It hurts my eyes and the image looks like trash compared to this laptop. The graphics card performs flawlessly and passes all benchmarks and testing with flying colors and impressive numbers but, moreover, for me, performs OUTSTANDING when I know I am putting a demand on it! Smoothing and frame rate is sooo nice. The upscaling and all the advanced features of the RTX 4070 are way more impressive in person than I thought it would be. This machine renders video like it is processing kindergarten math problems. It RIPS through rendering and doesn’t bog or crawl it way through the task. I can even run a game while rendering in a minimized window!!!! That is INSANE to me. Also, the output to the TV looks Fan-flipping-tasic and no lag, stutter, jitter or audio sync issues. Works the way I want it to. Plug it in, and just go. No messing around trying to get it to work right. Of course settings can be tweaked with a secondary display to get the most out of it but it is not needed to get it going and showing up and functioning if in a hurry, like trying to present to a client on their big screen TV in their own living room to go over project details, drawings and renderings. It just works…every time….no fiddling! Makes me look good at the end of the day. This machine has saved me so much time and provided me and my eyes with so much pleasure that it is literally the easiest things I have done all month, to fully sit here and 10,000% recommend it to anyone looking for gaming on the go or who creates content. I am incredibly happy with the performance and the spec and there are things I am still discovering about the machine, even after having been on it for days and days already. I love how comfortable it is to use for gaming, or general tasking and typing. It is my new ‘GO TO’ Machine and I have been slowly pulling everything off of my old one and moving it over to this one. The TUF, for me, is the one laptop to rule them all. Once I have everything moved over and backed up, the TUF will be doing everything for me from running my business to multi hour gaming while propped up in bed with a movie playing….to being the only place I edit pictures and video. I really like that it comes with a high wattage charge brick and it charges quickly too. It gets warm while working it but nowhere near as hot as I thought it would get. I have had zero hiccups and I have thrown some real curveballs at this machine that would have for sure tripped up my other machines and this laptop just SPEEDILY does what it is told to do and begs for more. I have an older generation i7 in my desktop and this laptop beats the pants off my desktop…..BAD! So much that this TUF laptop has me seriously considering retiring that desktop or getting rid of it because this machine is THAT MUCH better. One thing I do not like is that the camera does not have a privacy shutter. THAT REALLY bugs me and I feel that since so much went into this laptop to get it to be what it is that not having a privacy shutter over the camera is a HUGE MISS from ASUS. I like to close off the view of the camera when it is not in use or even when streaming if I have something going on in the room with the family that the stream doesn’t need to see or hear. I also wish the power port was located more toward the rear of the machine and that the ports were divided left and right side more equally. Everything I use is mostly on the left and that becomes inconvenient at times with my setup and the location of things, especially being right handed. BUT I LOVE, LOVE LOVE, The Thunderbolt 4 and USB C both being on the machine and the speeds they offer. Also, they both can take power in to charge the laptop if I am out and about. Meaning I can leave my main, monster sized, charging brick on my desk and I don't have to carry it around. Really nice ability to charge on the go and it is effective even if given the “charger isn’t the right size” error. In my use, it still charges up in percentage, while in use, on full brightness with my 65W GAN charger. Wireless connection and Bluetooth DO NOT TRIP OVER EACH OTHER and they are snappy, fast and responsive. I mention this because there is a noticeable difference in gameplay with Bluetooth controllers and controlling with a Bluetooth mouse than I am used to and I do not have to run an external network card to keep them from interfering with each other. I’m telling you….this is a NICE machine. All of what I wanted for years without having to add all the extra peripherals to make it happen. All I need is this machine in order to function with way better performance than I have with a machine with stuff hanging out of every port and dealing with headaches still. Audio: Initially I was not impressed with the volume but once I got to listening to it side by side with what I have been using it is VERY Apparent that the audio that comes out of the TUF is MUCH, MUCH Better! It sounds balanced and the Atmos is noticeable on these speakers. That is a big statement because I cannot really tell the difference all that much between ATMOS and ATMOS off with my 4k TV and Surround Sound…but I can definitely hear it in these speakers. They are not the loudest but they produce a very nice, pleasing sound that I can hear layers in. That makes a huge difference in FPS gaming too! Footsteps and sounds out in the distance are accurate and give a better understanding of the game environment and I am no longer guessing how far away something I heard could be. Even just watching online videos, the audio, just sounds "cleaner" and there are more nuances that I can hear that I normally do not pick up on with anything else, including nice Bluetooth Earbuds. Because of that, it was tough to get used to listening to but once my brain realized this is what good audio sounds like it is actually hard to go use other audio after listening to these for a while. BUILD: I can think of 3 words, ‘LIKE A TANK’ …this is a TOUGH feeling TUF. i Do NOT fear breaking it or something attached to it. ASUS has been doing a great job with build lately and both of my ASUS machines feel super durable. I would buy this again without reservation or hesitation, knowing what I know now. I think that most people looking for a performance PC will be very well served with this TUF Gaming laptop and I would recommend it to anyone from a gamer, to content creator or anyone else who just enjoys having stuff that works and works SUPER WELL!!!

As someone who's a bit late to the PC gaming scene, making the switch from console has been an interesting ride. My experience with the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has been pretty solid, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this powerful and user-friendly gaming laptop. Setup and Initial Impressions: Setting up the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 was pretty straight forward. After creating an ASUS account, I was pleasantly surprised with a free trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This perk allowed me to download and test three games: Call of Duty, Marvel's The Avengers, and Gears 5. Out of these, I'm very familiar with the gaming experience on Gears 5 and Marvel's The Avengers from my time playing on the Xbox Series X. These games are great for testing framerate and graphical capabilities. Display and Performance: At first, I was worried the 1080p screen wouldn't cut it, but the 15.6-inch display with Full HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate turned out to be great. The screen has an anti-reflective coating that is great for mid-day gaming and strong black levels for gaming at night despite not being an OLED. I believe it uses an IPS LED panel but need to verify. In Gears 5, I hit 120FPS smoothly, and the shadow details were impressive. Complications with External Monitor: I tried connecting the laptop to an external monitor that supports 240 Hz using an 18 GB HDMI 2.0 cable. The cable's limitations (4K at 60 Hz and 1440p at 120 Hz) led to some frame skipping. The reason I chose not to use an Ultra High speed 2.1 HDMI cable was because of my monitors 2.0 limitations. As someone new to PC gaming, my lack of experience with configuring settings for a gaming laptop to an external monitor probably played a role in this. Despite setting everything to Ultra, I couldn't achieve the expected performance without frame skipping. If the TUF gaming laptop unit came with a DisplayPort, I do believe it would have worked better with my external gaming monitor. For now, I will attribute the frame skipping to both the HDMI 2.0 cable and my inexperience with advanced settings. Audio and Cooling: The audio quality of the TUF Gaming F15 was a pleasant surprise. The high-res audio was immersive, with clear mid-range and higher register sounds, which isn't common in laptop speakers. The fans get a bit loud during intense gaming sessions, especially at 120 fps in Call of Duty, but noise-canceling headphones make this a non-issue. My Personal take: Even though I love tech, I'm very new to PC gaming. This laptop marks my first real experience. A friend who is a PC gaming enthusiast has been pushing me to switch from console gaming for over a year. When the TIN program offered me the laptop, I had every reason to finally take the plunge. To be frank, a 1TB SSD and RTX 4070 graphics card alone exceeds the price of a standard laptop. While I'm not necessarily a specs nerd when it comes to gaming PCs and computers, I am a home theater enthusiast with a strong affinity for high-quality graphics. Software and User Experience: ASUS laptops are known for their user-friendliness, and this one is no exception. With the Windows 11 OS, The Nvidia GeForce Experience and the Armoury Crate app are great additions. Nvidia GeForce Experience helps optimize gaming settings for better performance, while Armoury Crate gives comprehensive control over various aspects of the laptop. Although Armoury Crate can be a bit much for beginners, it’s a powerful tool for customizing game visuals and accessing news about ASUS products. It offers multiple visual presets like Default, Racing, Scenery, RTS/RPG, FPS, Cinema, Eye Care, and Vivid, enhancing the overall gaming experience. Build Quality and Extras: Opening the box alone was quite the presentation. The packaging features a "Transformers" aesthetic that immediately communicates tough, action & utility. The build quality of the TUF Gaming F15 is literally SOLID, living up to its TUF branding with military-grade durability. The additional stickers that came with the laptop were a nice touch, adding a bit of personal flair. The keyboard, with its RGB backlighting and highlighted WASD keys (standard movement keys in many PC games), was comfortable and responsive, perfect for long gaming sessions. The F15 features various connectivity ports to accommodate various external devices. The left side features a power port, Ethernet, (1) HDMI, (2) USB-C (1 being a Thunderbolt 4), (1) USB-A, 3.5mm headphone jack. The right-side features (1) USB-A port. The front facing camera appears to only be 720p resolution which is less than ideal for a laptop in the 2024. Final Thoughts: The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is a really good gaming laptop that offers great value for its price. It combines robust performance, a quality display, above average audio, and user-friendly software, making it a top choice for gamers. The only negatives mark against the device is the lack of DisplayPort connectivity and the 720p resolution front camera. That said, it's difficult to fault ASUS for knowing their target audience. This gaming machine IS purpose built with the gamer in mind. Whether you're a casual gamer or looking to get into more serious gaming, the TUF Gaming F15 is a solid investment. 4.25/5

The packaging for shipping to my home was horrible. It was in an oversized box with not enough plastic bubble and had been knocked around. The tape on the shipping box had busted at both sides because the computer box had hit it so hard. Crap job best buy. May return before even giving as a Christmas gift.

This is the Apple iPhone of gaming laptops. ASUS every year gives you a little bit more in the same shell. That is a really good thing because I really enjoy the laptop, the software, and the gaming performance. Let's start with the display: 3.5 out of 5 Yes, you get up to 144Hz display. In my configuration you only get a 1080P screen. The screen is dim compared to my Alienware M16. Bright enough indoors, yes. Bright enough by a window, yes. Bright enough outside, yes if under a patio or gazebo. It is a no go in direct sunlight! But who games or does office work in the sun. Colors look good. The matte finish is a little too strong. You won't get reflections but at the same time you don't get high levels of saturation. Off angle viewing, forget about it. Keyboard: 4 out of 5 Not the best keyboard. Not mushy but not a lot of feedback like a mechanical. Very quite like a typical membrane keyboard. The RGB is good. It is very toned down in the F15. I prefer my razer huntsman mini 60% keyboard over it. But overall I keyed pretty good at it at 60 words per minute. Not bad. Gaming/Cooling Fans: 3.5 out of 5 Now I play modern warfare and apex legends mainly. I tried both on the laptop screen and connected to my Samsung 34" Ultrawide 1440P at 75Hz (I know not a lot of fps). Never had a dropped frame and never did the laptop break a sweat going into fan turbo mode. It handled the games smoothly just like my previous ASU TUF Dash (2022) model with the 3070. This on has a 4070 but only 8Gb ram. Wish it had the full 12Gb that the desktop model had. Each game was already using about 6Gb so I had to tune down some settings a bit. Couldn't get away running ultra settings. Connectivity/Ports/WiFi/Battery Life/Storage: 3 out of 5 Off battery it depleted fast. ASUS doesn't advertise battery life but I was under 3 hours with Youtube videos, photo editing, and some excel spreadsheets. I honestly didn't try to game without plugging in the power brick. I have 1Gb fiber and I am about 1 room and 65 feet from the wifi router. Got about 600Mbps down and 300Mbps up. Not bad but not the best. Never did I throttle in games. 2 old usb ports and 2 usb c ports. I really like the mini display port. Don't really like using the HDMI. More ports than the macbook. 1Tb storage that came with the computer was quickly upgraded to a 4Tb Samsung 990 Pro! Overall: I still think ASUS has a winner with this F15 line. I have the bottom tier of there gaming laptops but you would never know it by how great the experience is with it. The laptop is crazy thin for being able to manage the hardware in it. I believe ASUS cooling system is on par with the Alienware M16. Now it doesn't have a flashy name as the Alienware M16 but it can hold its own. No privacy cover on the integrated webcam. The webcam is not good at all. I am sorry ASUS. I have the Logitech I add on. Speakers are good, not great. I just plug in my corsair wireless headset and bypass the onboard speakers. OS: It comes with Windows 11 home. My alienware came with 11 pro. At first start up please bypass the internet and having to create a windows account by doing the following: Press Shift + F10 (this will open CMD better known as the command Prompt) and type in: oobe\bypassnro This will save you the headache of windows updating slowing down your startup. Trust me on this.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is a really good gaming laptop with a sharp design, a high-quality graphics card (RTX 4070 Laptop GPU w/ 8 GB RAM), a fast processor (i7-13620H), plenty of RAM (16 GB) and a bunch of very useful features at a comparatively reasonable price. Unboxing: The box is very sturdy and a bit fancy in that it lifts the laptop towards you so you can get a better look. Unfortunately, the laptop is wrapped in an opaque cover so you can’t actually see it. This seemed a bit gimmicky to me. In the box is the laptop and the charger and a few sheets of paper with some info on the laptop and some offers. There are also a few TUF Gaming stickers. Setup: Typical Windows 11 Setup. I’m still not happy that Microsoft tries to force us to get a Microsoft account but that is not ASUS’s fault. I immediately installed any updates that were available (Windows, Windows Optional and Armory Crate). I opened GeForce Experience and updated the graphics driver. Then I downloaded and installed some software including Steam and some productivity software. All this went smoothly and quickly. Benchmarks: First thing I did was install Cinebench 2024 and run the CPU and GPU tests. Extracting Cinebench 2024 took a good 10 minutes. A bit longer than I expected. It seemed the SSD slowed down a few seconds into extraction. These are the results: CPU Multi-Core = 688 with 100% Utilization. GPU Score = 10,377. The GPU score was better than any other GPU on the Cinebench, not so comprehensive, list of GPUs. Utilization jumped around 0 to 100 but as it completed the rendering, it would drop into the 20’s. GPU temps were 68 degrees C max. Very good for a laptop with such a powerful discrete GPU. Next, I installed Geekbench. There I got a single core score of 1307 and a Multi-Core Score of 9386 of the Windows AVX2 scores. The CPU scores were lower than I expected. I’ll need to see if there are any updated drivers. The OpenCL score was 113,207. This is basically in line with the RTX 3060 Ti. It’s also about 7000 points better than what Geekbench expected and about what I expected. Gaming Benchmarks: I installed 3D Mark and ran the 3 free Benchmarks for Time Spy (11,095 – about 1000 points below average for the same hardware), Night Raid (42,056 – about 13,000 below average) and Fire Strike (19,511 – there was no average score given here). Frame Rates were good but I forgot to write them down. Time Spy Dipped below 60 fps a few times but I did not notice any missed frames. Everything looked smooth during the tests. Game Play: I tried Shadow of the Tomb Raider on this PC. I used GeForce Experience to optimize the settings. Detail: Ultra; Reflections: On; Shadow Quality: Ultra; Texture Quality: Auto; RTX Ray Trace Shadow Quality: Ultra. The graphics were very sharp and smooth and I didn’t notice any skipping of frames or stuttering. G-Sync prevented tearing issues. Color is also good. Again, I’m not sure of the frame rates but I didn’t notice any issues at all. Sound: Better than most of the other laptops I’ve tried recently but it’s not mind-blowing. No integrated subwoofer so it’s kind of flat. However, volume is good. Screen: 15.6”, 144 MHz, IPS – It’s bright enough for me but based on the benchmarks, contrast could be better. In SotTR, I didn’t notice any contrast issues. Keyboard – Touchpad: The Keyboard is good. The keys are large enough and have a decent feel to them. They are very flat with no contour as is common in laptops. I like the fact that it has a number pad as well. The lighting of the keys is a bit uneven but brightness can be adjusted. The WASD keys are translucent so they can be hard to read depending on the color used. Lighter colors hide the letters. I don’t like the out of the box lighting experience where the color changes constantly. I’m a static color kind of person. I usually prefer white but that washes out the letters on the WASD keys. I found the dark blue to work best for readability. The colors are adjusted through Aura in the Armory Crate app. The touch pad isn't anything special. It works for the most part but there were times I had to move my finger a bit to get it to register. However, if you are playing games, a good USB gaming mouse is a must. Storage: My laptop came with a 1 TB, Western Digital SN560 NVMe SSD. I had trouble finding info on this drive but what I found claimed 4000 MB/s Seq Read and 3000 MB/s Seq Writes. This should be plenty of storage and speed for most applications and games. I’m not sure if another drive can be added or not but previous versions of this laptop had an additional NVMe slot for expansion. Thermal performance: As noted earlier, thermal performance was very good. The bottom of the laptop did get warm but never hot. The design of the laptop has the fan intake on the bottom and the exhaust on the sides and rear. I did not see the temps go above 70 degrees during the benchmarks. Fan Noise: The fans will spin up quite a bit when the graphics card is pushed but the noise is not bad. It’s noticeable but not overwhelming. Design: It’s an attractive laptop. From the simple cover with the TUF logo to the nifty status lights at the top of the base (visible with the lid open or closed) to the look of the keyboard, I was impressed. It’s also quite compact for a laptop with these specs. I remember when gaming laptops were monsters. It’s not an ultra-light but it’s just a little heavier than recent standard laptops that I’ve used that had nowhere near the power this laptop has. There are 2 USB A ports (one on either side) 2 USB C ports, an ethernet port, an HDMI port and a headphone jack. The power brick is also a very reasonable size considering the horsepower this thing has. Battery Life: I used this laptop, unplugged for 2 hours and the battery level only went down around 25%. I didn’t play any games during this time. I was mostly running updates and downloading files and programs. I’m sure if I was playing games, it would have drained the battery quicker but I typically plug in for games anyway. All in all, this is a fantastic laptop. This is my second ASUS laptop and I’ve been very impressed with both. The construction is solid. There is little to no flex in the bodies or the screens. Beyond gaming, I think this will make a very good workstation for rendering that I do at work. The programs we use need dedicated graphics with at least 4mb RAM to operate. This should render at least as well and probably better than the desktop PCs we use with RTX 3060’s. If you are looking for a reasonably affordable gaming laptop, this should be on your list of options.

So overall i love this laptop. I got it on sale for $1,050 and for the price you simply cannot beat it. Its snappy, play everything I've thrown at it without issue and is pretty quiet when it comes to fan noise. Minor complaints/issues: 1. The backlit keyboard feels great but you can see darker spots where the led doesn't look as illuminated doesn't bug me too much though as I'm not OCD when it comes to that stuff, just figured id mention it. 2. The included charger; (I actually have 2 complaints on this) : the length of the cord from the box is just ever slightly too short to where i have to put the brick on the couch with me which I'm not a fan of considering the next issue. 3. The cord that goes from the outlet to the box feels so loose. I've had the laptop about 3 days now and its stopped charging because i picked up the charger or moved it and next thing you know that same cord that feels loose has unplugged itself. Now back to some pro's: 1. Plays Palword max settings 60fps locked 2. it has a number pad! (seriously why do we abandon that on most laptops) 3.Lots of hotkeys, adjustable rgb modes, volume controls, adjustable brightness, fan mode, Armoury Crate (built in software for hardware info like temps and such) 4. Cheapest name brand 4070 laptop I could find with seemingly good build quality. 5. The mouse pad and keyboard are legitimately soft and pleasant to touch 6. Auto switched from gpu to intel graphics depending on usage to save battery. Pro + Con: Battery life. In demanding titles you'll maybe get 2-3 hours. But in lighter titles you'll easily get 6 or 7 hours. So Ill stay neutral on this one. Anyways, sorry for such a long review just discussing everything i felt on this laptop. Time to go game. Bye!

Best gaming laptop for the power, build, and cost

Overall the laptop is brilliant and a great purchase for anyone looking for value to power to what i feel like some forget in gaming laptops specifically ... laptop build quality. The laptop is powerful no questions on that - can handle star wars outlaws on high no problem and does a great job in staying cool. Yes is its loud but that comes with the cost of staying cool and maintaining good frames. The difference that really makes this laptop great for the value is the how its built. Sturdy body with matt finish (no nasty finger prints), The keyboard isn't squishy and the keys themselves feel very responsive to type on with a short travel distance. Lastly the touch pad is responsive, sturdy, and accurate. Most value based gaming laptops have terrible builds and that's they get chained to a monitor and used with external peripherals.. might as well get a desktop. No I didn't buy a gaming laptop for the battery as some clowns do. While this one is fine for battery. No gaming laptop should be bought for the battery. Go buy a Mac cause you are not gaming on battery.

The build feels solid - not some flimsy plastic nonsense. Definitely looks like it could survive a few bumps. Great cooling (my laptop doesn't sound like a jet engine) Battery life is... meh. About 4-5 hours max Would I recommend - absolutely! For the price, this laptop is a total gaming champ.

For the power you get.. this is a really cheap laptop! This is my second gaming laptop I’ve ever owned. The performance with this laptop on the games I’ve tried; while runnung in default performance mode is just insane! Im running these games at ultra settings. (borderlands 3, palworld, dead by daylight). The temperatures barely touched 80C. Also the download speeds were almost 150mbps MORE than we pay for. The keyboard feels almost the same as my last laptop (asus rog strix 1650). And I LOVE the usbc ports!!! The battery lasts more than long enough for some gaming, i just plug it in for hardcore gaming. I got this mainly to connect it to my sony bravia 8 oled. It’s BEAUTIFULL!

I bought this computer for my son since he started using STEAM for gaming and many of the high graphics games were not able to work on our older laptop. This is our first gaming laptop and it is working well so far. The key pad lights up very nicely with multi color options. The weight is a bit heavy if you plan to transport it around often. The outer shell design has a nice graphite color and is good looking. So far performance is good for the racing game my son plays, but I do hear the fan working pretty loudly while he is playing his game. Overall, so far the laptop is working well and is nice looking. The price was good since I bought it on sale. I only have it for about 1 week, so hopefully I don’t have issues later.

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 Laptop is a perfectly well balanced laptop for my daily needs. Everything I need for a high quality laptop and gaming without any hiccups. The specs on this machine are fantastic and at a pretty decent value. First off I noticed that this F15 laptop is actually a bit lighter than previous gaming laptops I have used. This one comes in at about 5 lbs, but is definitely not an ultra light laptop. I like the looks and style of this machine as it has a TUF logo imprinted into the lid along with a two tone paint scheme. The lid is a gray tone, with a black base. I love the style of the lid as it has a nice notch to grab onto as I open it up and close it with ease. Well thought out design and style. The RGB keyboard is customizable via the Aura app built into the machine. I love having a full size keyboard with a number pad for work and play purposes. The gaming WASD keys stand out on this keyboard with a very thoughtful touch of being semi clear compared to all the other keys. Smooth key presses allow for hours of comfortable use while I work on spreadsheets during the day and gaming at night. The specs of the laptop are what impressed me the most. Intel Core i7 13th generation CPU processor holds up very well and responds to all my tasks quickly. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 has been fantastic for the various games I've played and I haven't noticed any tearing or pixelation. Combine that GPU with the 144hz FHD with G-Sync screen and you get a very fast and capable machine to play FPS games with ease. 16GB of Ram is plenty, and I may look into upgrading that in the future to make this an even faster machine. The 1TB SSD hard drive is adequately sized for my game downloads and all my various personal files. The 15.6" LED screen feels just right sized on this laptop along with the 1080p display. The various inputs are adequate for a machine this size, as you get 1 HDMI port, 1 headphone jack, 1 ethernet port, 2 USB-A ports, and 2 USB-C ports. WiFi 6 enabled for better network connections. This machine comes installed with Windows 11 and I think it runs efficiently and well here. There are gaming specific software programs such as Asus' branded programs. MyAsus and the Armoury Crate are both included which allow you to customize your preferences and find the right setting that best suits your gaming needs and visuals. Overall I believe this laptop is adequately priced to be a perfectly balanced gaming laptop along with a daily driver for an office laptop. That's how I'm using mine and noticing how well it has been responding to everything from MS Office to playing Forza, Halo, or Sniper Elite 5. Durable laptop that looks great and is worth it for the specs it offers.

I would probably give this a 4 or 4.5 out 5 stars if I could. The extra star is due to getting the laptop on sale seemed to be an extremely good deal. Below are my observations after about 10 days of use. Positives: Performance wise, I have no complaints at this time. So far any game I've thrown at it, it runs it with no problem. It easily outperforms my old desktop with a I7 9700 and a GTX 1660ti. The screen is bright, and clear. At 1080p with this size screen, my old man eyes are pleased. The construction of the machine seems to be pretty solid at this point, however, I'm not a very picky person. If it does what I want, I'm happy regardless of build materials. The 1TB hard drive is a nice size. My last laptop was a 256GB so, with games easily crossing the 100GB mark, having extra storage is always nice. Negatives: While it is a laptop, and it is to be expected, the fans can get LOUD during demanding games. While it doesn't bother me when I'm playing with my headphones on, at times I like to play while in the living room while my family watches TV. Believe me, they notice it! When it comes to battery, I don't play any demanding games. I have the settings so that the PC stops charging at 80% to protect battery integrity. Unfortunately though, it doesn't seem I can get anywhere near the 10 hours the manufacturer claims. Playing solitaire, surfing the web and watching some YouTube, my battery when from 80% to about 35% in about 2.5-3 hours. Also, while it seems to be a good enough display, it doesn't seem the screen is HDR. I tried turning it on in a game and it said it wasn't supported, and I can't find anything from that manufacturer saying if it is or it isn't. The final nitpick I would have is concerning RAM. As far as system RAM, I would like to have seen 32GB, however, at the price I got it for, not something I'm complaining about, but if I paid full price, I don't think an extra $50 worth of ram would have been too much to ask for from ASUS. Concerning the GPU ram, while I understand it's NVIDIA's standard for laptops, it would have been nice to see the 12GB of ram the desktop 4070 comes with instead of 8GB. Overall, if you're in the market for a solid 1080p gaming laptop and you can get this one on sale, pull the trigger.

An intel i7 and a NVIDIA 4070 with 16gb of ddr5 ram, and 1tb storage for $1050 on sale. Insanse, hard to buy those parts for around that price on their own for a tower build. You can upgrade the ram to 64gb of ram with 2 32gb cards and can up grade the storage to 4 tb if you’d like to future proof it a bit to make it last. I use it as a stream rig to run my ps5 through it with an elgato capture card. The i7 and the 4070 are a great pair and are meant for high quality 1440p (2k) gaming at 120-144fps rates. This thing will easily handle your CODs, Fortnite, The 1st descendant, GTA5, etc. It can handle more demanding applications like cyberpunk at 1440p in the 60-100fps range, still looks great. I’d recommend getting a laptop stand or cooler for it, gets a bit warm during longer sessions. Both as a streaming rig and a gaming rig.

This is a very solid laptop, it runs every game I have thrown at it at high frame rates, it is built solidly, boots up very quickly. I have been using it for music production which requires a lot of processing power, and this thing handles it like nothing. It runs very quietly and I have not had any problems with heat even when I am really pushing it. While the price may be higher than some other laptops, it feels like a bargain for the quality you get because this is very high quality for it's price point.

I was skeptical of the specs at first as i could not find this model online to price match with. Thankfully the laptop arrived with all the advertized specs. This is a great laptop for the price with the given specs. Runs great. Very quiet for a gaming PC, though i have not gamed with it yet. So not sure if the fans get louder under load. Have not had any issues with heat, but as above, I have not used it a whole lot. This is more for when I travel. I did upgrade the RAM to 32GB as it will be more suitable when gaming and for some work tasks I do. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone needing a good laptop for work or any gamers (within what a laptop RTX 4070 can handle). Laptop GPUs do not perform as well as their desktop counterparts. I also really like that it has a numpad.

UPGRADES added a second SSD Samsung 990 2pro 2TB SSD for games. Win 11 and games running were using 17 GB ram witch causes a swap file to be created on the SSD, lowering the 1% lows framerate. Dual rank memory is a must because DDR 4 ram is already the bottleneck on this laptop. installed 64 GB ram because all of them are dual rank. 32 GB ram is being sold unlabeled and is usually single rank. Found a youtube video on how to open the case . Installed new SSD , and 64GB RAM. CPU runs hot during games 95c GPU runs about 70-80c .repasted GPU with tuniq TX2, repasted CPU with thermal grizzly liquid metal. This does not lower temps. Only allows CPU to boost turbo higher longer.prepped CPU with TG shield protective non conductive barrier in case of liquid metal squeeze out. Download throttlestop and click options and go to PROCHOT OFFSET, I put a value of 10. That means the laptop will thermal throttle at 85c now instead of 95c. Max cpu temps around 88c(see photos). IETS GT500 laptop stand(90.00 Amazon) boosts performance by cooling CPU better than internal fans. MOKIN (60$ aliexpress) powered hub allows for 6 external HDD,and external monitors . Glass mousepad (32$ aliexpress), Koorui 24" 1080p 166hz monitor 119.00, reddragon keyboard is solid aluminum and mechanical type for 55.00$, glass desk, bestbuy 135.00
