The high refresh rate is top tier I would recommend this monitor over any other!

Incredibly smooth with great color. No noticeable bleeding or edge glow. I was afraid it would look blurry or dull next to my LG nano IPS 2k monitor, but not the case. If you get it on sale for under 300, you won't regret it.

My son competes in Valorant tournaments, and he wanted at 24" with refresh rate higher than 240hz. 360hz models are much more expensive and this one overclocked at 280hz is very acceptable to him. No complaints from him with refresh rates, color accuracy, and adjustability.

Great monitor. Overclocking it to hit the full 280 was easy to do and makes games so much smoother.

I love this monitor. It's great especially for the price. It is the exact same thing as VG259QM but best buy adds the Y in order to not have to honor other comps discount on it as it is 'a different model number' but to be honest I bought it from BB on a really good sale. Please note that the the display port is not capable of 240, you have to use hdmi 2 port.

Amazing purchase. Would recommend to anyone looking to game up a storm. While each user has different needs related to hardware they are using, or hope to get. For my needs in FPS, MMOrpg, and other fast paced simulations, this monitor fit the need well. I have an AMD build, so the G-SYNC things a non- thing for now. But GPU/ VGA cards come and go. Packaging is done well, even though mine came showing its retail trappings. It wasn't stolen in transit, and may have gotten the respect due its fragility. Blatantly Fast HZ and enthusiast superbattude. Hope all that wish to have it, can get it for less than I paid. Worth every cent/token, no regrets

Best monitor ever heres some tips though, if you want your monitor to not bash apart when taking out of the box be very careful, as for some reason they packaged it terribly where you could drop it (I nearly did and nearly had a heart attack) It is automatically 240hz instead of the said 280, so just overclock it in settings, also you will probably want to change the scenery and brightness as it comes naturally in racing mode and dim. I personally use racing mode but turn up the brightness. Great size, and I got at a great price during cyber monday

Fantastic monitor. I was very lucky to purchase when it was on sale for $270. I have been looking for a nice gaming monitor since June, and simply could not make a decision because the prices were just too high and/or the high performance monitors (BenQ's Zowie series in particular) have been known to have less color quality in favor of performance. This monitor has both outstanding colors and refresh rate performance. Build quality is solid, design is great. Also pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a single dead pixel. I would highly recommend this monitor at this time.

I did intensive research on 24 inch G-SYNC compatible gaming monitors, and this particular model was always included in the top. I purchased it when it went on sale and let me tell you, I am very happy I got it! I have it paired with an Acer Predator monitor, and this ASUS TUF blows it away. The response time is great, the picture and customizability are amazing, and the thin bezel and high quality build adds to the all around sleek aesthetic. I will be purchasing another one soon to replace my Acer Predator!

I have had this display for years now. If you can push the performance to get the 280hz it’s so worth it. I use it for gaming and photo/video editing. With my old display I would have to put photos on my phone to see what they would look like to others. This display has reduced the need for that. I can edit drop and upload seamlessly.

Amazing affordable high hz IPS gaming monitor. You will not regret choosing this option. Do not buy this monitor for HDR.

I received the monitor in its original box, it has 280hz as advertised. I was confused about it at first because the name has an "Y" at the end compared to the always out of stock vg259qm. It seems like they are the exact same monitor. If you Google vg259qm you will get all the specs if the monitor, but if you Google vg259qmy it is the exact same thing but with a Y at the end. Conclusion: same thing as the vg259qm

I would give this a 4.5 if I could. This monitor is great. I did a ton of research before settling on this monitor, it's got great response time with no motion blur, amazing refresh rate for gaming, great colors after calibration, good contrast for an IPS, fully adjustable stand, and best of all it was a steal since I got it for $230 during Black Friday. I was worried about QC regarding dead pixels but the unit I got had none out of the box. I got it all set up, downloaded an ICC profile from rtings, and was amazed by how much more buttery smooth everything was at 240hz compared to my old 144hz gaming laptop screen. It's a small difference but just that much nicer. However, there is one problem that I had with my unit... Not sure if this is a special case but out of the box, I was experiencing some lagginess and stuttering at 240hz. This was really noticeable when scrolling up and down on Chrome pages, as the screen would freeze a bit before scrolling, but this also happened with opening new windows and clicking things. After a bit of messing around I found that installing the latest display drivers from the ASUS website fixed the problem, so luckily it was an easy fix, but also not a problem I should have dealt with out of the box. I was surprised considering I haven't heard of others dealing with this issue. All in all, it's a great monitor!! Buy it you won't regret
