I bought this laptop a year ago and thought the world of it. It was the best laptop I have ever owned! I was dead wrong. Yes, it ran like a champ. It worked great but a month or two afterwards, it started falling apart. The alt key kept popping off and I just lived with this problem because the closest Best Buy was over an hour out from my location. Then I see a pink spot on the screen and learned it was a bad pixel that isn’t exactly dead but I also learned how to live with it because I can’t bring myself to drive an hour out. This was all okay until a few days ago to when my WiFi driver stopped working and I knew enough that maybe a simple system recovery to an earlier date could fix it. Nope... my WHOLE system crashed and every time I tried to run my computer, I only had gotten to the blue screen telling me critical_system_died. I always seen this as a faulty hard drive like I had to get a new one and install it or have it installed. However, I found out that my systems Windows 10 was corrupted and just needed to reinstall it. I tried to and it worked all day yesterday after the reset, but then I restarted my computer once after updating my graphics driver, and the WiFi driver went dead again. This time, a system restore worked but didn’t fix this problem and come to find out, my touch pad stopped working as well. I don’t know exactly what I’m doing wrong but I’m not paying for another product from Best Buy because how much trouble it took me to get this laptop and how only after one single year and just a few days, the laptop became worthless to purchase. Note: this is the third laptop I have ever own. My first was a crappy Hp laptop my dad got me for school. It lasted a year and a half. The second I bought and was another Hp laptop that lasted 3 years. Then this one above that barely lasted a single year and over the years I’ve owned computers, I learned how to take care of them with some maintenance, junk file removals, and virus/malware protection. I have tried to find a solution to this issue but currently have nothing to go by...

This computer is great! The best part about this laptop is its speed to boot from being off and in standby due to the fast SSD. Plenty of ram for multi tasking and the GTX 1060 3gb is sufficient enough to play most AAA games today on high settings.

Love this laptop. It pretty much handles all the games my desktop handles and is light, has a decent sized 17 in screen and battery lasts a while before having to plug in and charge. For the money the value of this laptop is phenomenal.

Unit arrived earlier than expected! Set up in nothing flat and we were using it shortly after unpacking. Screen is beautiful. SSD is a great attribute for this, although the unit is still a bit heavier than anticipated.

It's a great laptop. Battery is a little lacking even when I have power-saving settings turned on and I'm NOT gaming. I got this mainly so it could support 3D modeling and drafting and it does everything that I need it to without any real graphical lag that I couldn't attribute to user error or internet speeds. It does lack a CD drive which is only a mild inconvenience these days with everyone doing digital copies of things, but it does prevent me from easily loading some of my older games onto it. Screen doesn't reliably wake up when pressing buttons on the keyboard, but that might be more of a software issue than hardware.

Bought this for a young teen that plays those games teens luv. It is perfectly fast, graphics are beautiful. So it’s a bit loud who cares it works wonderfully and worth the price.

More computer than I needed. However at $400.00 off, I could not pass it up. So far, I have not been disappointed. Very quick. All the goodies i7, solid state drive.

It is very fast and has a bright and crisp screen. The only negative I have with it is the touchpad which can be unresponsive at random times.

I really like the performance on this laptop, specially for running software needed that need a good video card, a good CPU power, etc.

Overall I would say this is a decent laptop. Picture is great, keyboard is awesome, it's pretty thin and relatively light for the power that it packs. My only complaint is the noise level when running multiple tasks. You can easily hear the fan spool up and it's pretty dang loud. I suppose if you had a gaming headset on you wouldn't even notice. Again, for the money, the power it packs and overall look and functionality, it's a great machine. This is my first ASUS, hoping it keeps for a while.

This is just great, so fast and so beautiful, the screen looks awesome, the speakers have an incredible sound, for the price is amasing

this is the second one I bought - my daughter uses it for her photography business and likes the larger screen and the TRUE COLOR of the monitor, which she needs editing pictures. Her first one hit the floor when my small granddaughter 'bumped' it off the arm of the recliner - shouldn't have been there, so no one was in trouble, but it hit a concrete floor and didn't make it. She loved it so much she asked me to purchase the EXACT same one again.

Bought this on the Black Friday deal. It's a good PC but was disappointed mostly in the sound quality or rather the lack of sound. It may sound good using a headset for gaming but I am more of a power user than a gamer and really don't want to have to be wearing a headset all the time while viewing, editing videos or whatever I'm working on for that matter. Nor am I interested in adding external speakers be it bluetooth or whatnot to have to haul around with my PC. The audio from the standard PC speakers is so low that I would call it nearly inaudible. And that's with the volume at 100%. A 1960's ara transistor radio as better audio than this thing. I've looked and researched all over the web and ASUS hopefully for driver updates and or fixes that would resolve this issue and came up nil. There is no fix for this at this time. There is an audio software program preinstalled call DTS Audio where you can set equalizer levers and add some boost. Though it does increase the volume a little bit it mostly just causes distortion in what little audio you already have. Other issue is there is no card reader slot as advertised. I do like the SSHD. Graphics card is good but could've been better. With that being said it is still a good PC. I will recommend this PC but only if listening by using the built in speakers isn't an issue for you.

Works well and feels well built. Plays media intensive games well, but the fan gets loud when the video is real intense.

I’ve travelled with this laptop across the world, stranded in India, thrown it in a bag when running to work, used it as a TV, got paint on it, this thing has been through it. I owned an Alienware before this, and it was total junk. Burned out after 24 years. It’s was over twice the price. Graphics for gaming are fantastic, I can ran my oculus rift on it with no issues. Would highly recommend.

I bought this for my husband back in December as a Christmas gift and waited until now to publish my review. He absolutely loves it. I was worried from how many games he plays on it that it would die within the first 6-8 months. But it has not. Super fast processor and excuse my ignorance for technology but the screen effects is great too! Very happy with this purchase.

It is a great laptop for games at home. Good graphic but a little heavy

Great laptop worth the price I paid for it handles everything's easy and smooth it is what every dollar.

It came with a large SSD drive that allows loading of many games, a very powerful computer for business too.
