This laptop is very nice, i love it is very fast and is not that heavey, and I like the huge screen!

My first experience with a solid state drive, impressive reboot time, under 30 seconds, and ready to go! I did add a second ssd, which was painless, to expand the storage space, there is a second bay to install that drive, which doesn’t seem to be stated in the product description. The absence of hard drive noise is noteable, fantastically quiet. 100% would, and have, suggested this to a friend.

I teach CCW classes to hundreds of students yearly in my highly A/V oriented classroom, feeding an HD Widescreen TV/monitor from a podium where the lighting is subdued. The quality of the graphics on it's monitor and supplied to the Widescreen, plus the ability to see the lighted keyboard, make it ideal for my use!

This computer is fast and has awesome graphics. Also I really like the design.

The screen is detailed, the touchpad is easy to use, and everything works fast.

If you are looking for a good basic laptop, this machine is great. It is not a powerhouse gaming machine if you want max settings, but for the casual player it is all you need. The screen, design, and system are all top notch. Runs a touch loud with the fans going, but with headphones on, you don't notice.

So far so good, this thing handles anything I've thrown at it. Smooth as silk soaked in butter. Fast fast fast, takes about 5 seconds to boot up, big bright beautiful screen, doesn't get too hot (I have a fan cooling pad in addition just for security's sake) it actually has a good keyboard, I like it alot. And so does my wife who also games, we're sharing it and its not easy :)

I was not happy to find out that there is no SD card slot, even though the original Best Buy ad said there was one. I have to use the USB ports and an SD card adapter. The USB ports sometimes need multiple retries to recognize devices. Also they are spaced very close to each other, requiring me to remove one USB item and let the slot stay empty in order to accomodate the width of the sd reader. I bought this computer to be able to do photo editing and was not expecting to not have a functional SD reader. I have the computer 3 months and already I get the big error screen.... microsoft is collecting data... etc. requiring me to turn the computer off and on and restarting it. This occurs at least 4 times a week. I was hoping that I would at least get a year of use before that started up. I had to buy this computer because my previous Dell graphics card would freeze and I would have to reboot. As far as the speed is concerned it is decent.

This computer is used for serious gaming over 12 hours a day and still operates like it is new. Love it, only problem I have encountered is the cord for charging did not hold up but was able to order one with a lifetime warranty for $60.00 which includes shipping. So back to gaming we go. Woo hoo....

If you are a simple gamer like me, just looking for a general computer that can play video games and not need any upgrades right away, this is the computer for you. I took a long time trying to find a computer that not only just played games, but I didn't want to purchase a computer and need to update it right away. By all means, I plan to do some upgrades on it later. But for right now, it's perfect. I mainly play Ark Survival and online games like Dead by Daylight, and they run wonderfully. I also do school work on it and it is a very fast computer. My older one was very slow (connecting to the exact same wifi), this one loads and works very well. Highly recommend it for beginner gamers. And the price is worth it!

Has a sleek aesthetic, and the design is visually appealing, but the listing said that the keyboard was RGB, which it is obviously not since mine is locked to red no matter how many software packages I downloaded. The keys type well and aren't heavy to press or make an obnoxious clicking noise. The feel is nice too, smooth and clean. The touch pad is rough and feels wobbly. The right and left-click buttons aren't well calibrated and the mouse movement is sloppy (good thing I have a gaming mouse I use anyways). I like the num-pad feature, I've been a fan my whole life. The arrow keys are very narrow though, even though I have slender fingers they are hard to fit on the arrow keys. Overall okay laptop, but maybe a bit much on price as the performance has been kind of lacking as well.

This laptop was a beautiful piece of equipment both visually and overall performance wise. I was incredibly happy with it -- For the first 30 days or so. The design was great, ran perfect, but suddenly the monitor went black. The backlight worked and the computer ran fine but the screen remained black. I was going to send it in under warranty for repair but opted to return for fear of further issues given it was only a month old. It was being used for my business and shoddy tech is a BIG no no. Ended up with the Lenovo Legion y530 instead. Graphics card was a step down, but at least I know lenovo puts out solid product.

I am so not a gamer, but we do a lot of video work, so buying this gaming computer was really smart for us. It has high quality graphics, lots of memory and it's fast. That's my favorite part. If you've ever sat around for 10 minutes as your old laptop booted up, you'll be thrilled with the speed of this one.

The large screen is great. However, the recent Oculus VR hardware that requires a Display Port is an issue. The ASUS TUF has only an HDMI port. Use VR hardware that will take HDMI ports and you're good to go. Like the keyboard and mouse pad. The red backlit keys are cool!

Good laptop but I overpaid a little for it. It is a solid machine but the lower end 1060 with only 3GB of memory was a letdown. As is the monitor because it is only 60hertz refresh rate. Aside from that it is a good machine.

Beware... You must prove your Best Buy purchase to Asus or else your warranty start date defaults to the date of manufacture, which in my case means I almost lost 8 months of warranty! Asus only accepts .jpg files and Best Buy only offers .pdf file copies of your online purchase. Otherwise this is a nice speedy computer. I thought the red backlit keyboard would drive me crazy but it's not that bad. The keys have a nice feel to them. The IPS monitor is a beauty. And even with the graphics card only having 3 gb of ram, Diablo ran great at 133 fps.
