So this is a big laptop, its very wide but also pretty lightweight for a 17.3" device. It weighs a hair under 6lbs which for a gaming laptop is really good especially something the size of this. Asus did a really god job when it comes to the build on this laptop. While the laptop is plastic it helps that Asus added some texture to the chassis and edgy design. It keeps it from feeling like a generic plastic slab. I love the display on this. Its a 1080P display with 144hz refresh rate and that refresh rate is definitely noticeable . Everything looks good on the panel, crisp clear images with decent colors while gaming or regular usage. This is not for someone who does photo editing though as its not accurate enough. Also tings can get a little messy when you start to look at the screen from angles. but overall i'm really happy with the display. The keyboard is quiet and its low profile. Its extremely quiet when in use but that means its not quite as tactile. I actually don't mind this as some of the mechanical keyboards out there are so jarring when it comes to the clacking of the key strokes. Its also backlit with WSAD emphasized as they are usually the keys to play FPS games. It also has a decent sized touchpad with gesture support that i found responsive. But for gaming you will want to use a real mouse or controller. For gaming out of the box you can play most games on high and expect between 40 to 70 fps depending on the title. As mentioned in the title this is for the casual games but plays GTA, Far Cry, CoD just fine. You just have to have realistic expectations. As far as upgrading goes this comes with a single stick of 8gb ram, the great thing is you can upgrade upto 64gb of ram if needed. You also get a second slot for second ssd if the 512gb isn't enough. (Spoiler alert: It won't be enough). The biggest weak point on this laptop is the battery, just under 90 minutes off the charger isn't good at all but with something like this i use it as a desktop replacement so it is always plugged in so i don't notice that Overall this is a great starter or casual gamer laptop. plays games pretty well and has a wonderful display. the light weight design is also a bonus if you're carrying this around but beware the battery life isnt good at all.

The ASUS - TUF Gaming 17.3" Laptop is a lightweight mobile power house that delivers outstanding graphics, incredibly fast processing, high resolution, crisp clear vibrant screen. The system is very responsive, the keyboard and trackpad work exceptionally well. This ASUS gaming laptop delivers exceptional performance thanks to the Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB DDR4 of RAM, with the included dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. The hard drive capacity is only 512GB on an SSD, however you can always expand the HDD capacity if you chose. Every game I've played on this laptop has been incredibly fun. No latency, quick response times for inputs, and the visuals are stunning. It's really hard to believe so much power is concealed within this elegantly designed slim chassis. I love the 17.3" screen. It gives you such a large canvas for work and play. This laptop has a pretty solid battery life. Even when adjusted for performance, I was able to use the machine for over 6 hrs and still have over 30% battery capacity. Stress testing this laptop has proven it can handle just about anything you can throw at it. Multiple applications, streaming HD content, data transfer, video editing, and more. If you can imagine it, this system can handle it. There are a sufficient number of connection ports. A USB-C port with display capability, 3 standard USB ports, and Rj-45 ethernet port and an audio port for connecting speakers and headphones. There is also support for Bluetooth and an amazing wireless network card the gives over a gigabit of throughput using WiFi 6. I highly recommend this laptop! Exceptional performance, beautiful design, stunning video, and a large screen that will make you want to take this laptop with you where ever you go.

The ASUS - TUF Gaming 17.3" Laptop is really a great buy for those looking into getting into the computer gaming scene. The screen is huge and the keyboard layout is great, with essential gaming keys being highlighted by a bright white color. Something else that stands out about the ASUS - TUF Gaming 17.3" Laptop is how lightweight the computer is. Compared to my Nitro 5 gaming laptop, there is a significant weight difference between the two. So, if you are going to be carrying it around, the Acer TUF is the way to go. As for it's performance, I love it. I saw no indication of it being VR ready, and confirmed that it may not be enough for VR, but my son has been playing Roblox VR games without issues. A message did pop up that the requirements for VR were not enough, and VR experience may suffer, but it's been good so far. I'm not sure how it will do with more graphic intense games, but it's been holding up to Roblox VR. Another thing that I like about teh ASUS - TUF Gaming 17.3" Laptop is its sleek design and texture. It makes the laptop feel much more rugged. It also has two-way AI noise cancellation, which is pretty cool, and has more than enough ports for external monitors and whatever floats your boat. Overall, the ASUS - TUF Gaming 17.3" Laptop is a great entry level gaming laptop. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for one.

    MediaTek MT7921 wifi 6 issues

I own my owm tech repair company and recommended to my clients to purchase this laptop. One of my clients with this same laptop experience a loss of wifi connectivity. Upon troubleshooting the ASUS laptop I was unable to detect the internal MediaTek MT7921 wifi adapter. Seems to be an issue noted on several forums on the net. To get it working again in went into device manager, uninstalled the adapter and scanned for hardware changes which the bios picked up the NIC and reinstalled. The ASUS laptop started using WIFI 6 again. I setup all my clients new equipment including this laptop so all drivers, bios and OS updates are done before handover to the client. ASUS tech support needs to address this issue ASAP regarding the MediaTek MT7921 wifi issues.
