||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I got this on Black Friday for a great price (or what I thought was a great price at the time) - $679 or whatever it was. The specs are great and you can pretty much run any old game (prior to 2015) on ultra and modern games on med or low. The problem is that despite the great specs, the build seems very flimsy. For instance, there were many instances where my hooked up HDMI monitor could not be detected (and it wasn't the HDMI cable as I hooked it up to a much cheaper $200 laptop and that worked...). Then I had an issue where the PC would be extremely slow despite upgrading the RAM from 8GB to 16 GB (I added another stick). The problem would "magically" resolve itself after a number of reboots and doing diagnostic scans with the ASUS center. My only conclusion is that the build/wiring is faulty or not done very well. I do not recommend this unless you have the luxury of wasting hours of your time diagnosing and fixing issues that should never have happened.

There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that you check for and install updates. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications.

Asus makes Great Quality Product

Its TUF, rugged, durable and the graphic for gaming is amazing. Of course like every other beefed up Laptop your going to run out of battery fairly quickly but It is what it is. Other than that this is a great machine to have.
