In sleep mode computer got very hot and locked up. Powered off for 15 minutes and restarted to blue screen repairing files. After it did this 3 times i returned to store. I know gaming computers get hot, but in sleep mode?? Maybe mine was defective.

There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up and check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications.

Keeps crashing

A STEAL on Black Friday Pricing!

At $899, this is a very fair value for the hardware, however, at sub $700 during the Black Friday promotion, IT WAS A STEAL!!! Added a 1TB SSD (which the laptop did come with an extra SSD mounting screw in the 2nd SSD slot) AND added 8gb more RAM for about $100 (SSD under Black Friday Pricing), but the stock hardware appears more than capable of holding its own til you decide to upgrade. No issues with windows 11, I actually like it, except for the Bitlocker encryption when trying to clone the HD. The unit boots and loads quickly. Display is smooth, snappy and has good light output. Sound is as good as it can be with any laptop. Battery life? Its a gaming laptop, if you game with battery power, you don't need this, get an Iphone. Keep this laptop plugged up. The ONLY thing right now that I can say negative about this unit is the plastic build material; it seems very brittle and has chipped slightly when attempting to remove the bottom cover. Probably want to stay away from frequently removing the bottom cover to upgrade hardware as I feel the tabs will probably crack off if done too much.

A decent Laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's an adequate windows Laptop for what you pay, Display is not very sharp you can imagine 1080p on a 17-inch display is a bit far from today's standard but way better than my Lenovo. build quality is awesome for the price. I had an Asus laptop 6 years ago, it was really impressive to see this much progress. fans aren't loud, speakers neither, Lol I had no problem playing GTA V on my 2160p Monitor at 30FPS. 8GB ram is not enough if you are up to heavy multi-tasking, but an overall really impressive laptop for college or minor gaming.

Affordable laptop

The ram needs upgrading tho, i do see a bottle neck with 8gb ram only. I mostly play dota 2 on with medium graphics and did not see any problem. I'm not sure if its standard with most tuf laptops, but i feel like the screen is a bit loose and bendy at the edges. it may be a problem in the long run after prolonged use. i will see.
