Best bang for the buck!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this has been the best purchase I have made. The specs that this laptop have, definitely put it in a class of its own. The price was something that really caught my eye, and heavily influenced my decision on buying this particular laptop. It is very hard to find a gaming laptop of this size with these particular specs for a price point below $1,000. My one true gripe about this laptop is the speakers. They don't seem to be well placed for balanced sound, and at times they seem to low even at max volume. Maybe it's just me, but I have had lesser systems with better sound projection. Other than that, I really like everything about this laptop, especially the RTX 3050Ti, which is hard to find in a laptop for this price.

Amazing laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the subject says, this laptop is amazing. I bought it for my daughter to take to college, but I will be buying another one for myself. Everything runs buttery smooth, and upgrading it was the easiest I have ever dealt with. I added an additional 8GB of Crucial SO-DIMM 3200 RAM ($37) in the empty 2nd RAM slot and an additional 1TB Western Digital Black m.2 SSD ($121) in the empty M.2 slot. And within 5 mins, it recognized both and was on my way. With these two easily added upgrades, it rivals laptops in the $1,400 range. All for $950 in total out of pocket. The 3050Ti, while not a 3060, is more than capable. Highly recommend this laptop!

Good bang for buck entry level gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised by this laptop. Was ordered for one of my kids, and upon further use I have found it to be pretty performant for its price point. Both the CPU and GPU handle light gaming extremely well. My children primarily play Roblox/Minecraft and Ark and this thing is playing those extremely well. Its not going to play the latest games at max settings at 60fps, but it does alright for its weight class. The only glaring issue that I have with this thing, and why I wouldn't use it for myself is the display quality. Being a cheaper laptop it is expected, but the colors are very washed out and its not very bright. But its budget tier so it is expected.

Bang for the buck can VR MSFS 2020. Wow!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. Mobile VR It is running MS Flight Simulator 2020 Quest2 VR on mostly low with satellite feed. Have to tweak it. MSFS2020 update 5 helped smoothe out the game, but prior to the update I doubt laptop could handle it. It was running like bloatware. Amazing. DCS VR should be even better. Mobile Fighter pilot VR. Added 8gb Ram. Not to add Ram for $40 to $70 is a crime for this video card. Might switch out for 16gb to total 24gb. So impressed. Dam thing for the money rivals my hard tube liquid cooled iBuyPower desktop with a 2070S I bought at Bestbuy. Just check your Windows settings to make sure your CPU Turbos. Also might need a tweak for Occulus Quest2 if Desktop is blacked out. Real minor tweak that might have to do with the Asus power management and Windows power management. Can't believe I got this on sale for $850.

Great laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first laptop I've bought in about 7 years. I did my research and kept coming back to this one. For the price you can't go wrong ( when I purchased mine it was under $800). With a 144hz refresh rate, 512GB SSD and 8 gigs of ram this laptop will handle almost anything you throw its way. The SSD and ram can be easily upgraded if you want to go that route. When you first boot it up there are some updates that need to be done but nothing out of the ordinary. This laptop is a great value and from a great company.

Overall great buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great computer, boots up in seconds, and should be able to play any game or software. Only cons are short battery while playing games, must be plugged in. And is very warm at peak performance. I would recommend buying additional hard drive space if you plan on installing alot of programs or games.

Asus Tuff!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming laptop and I’m very happy with my purchase. I was especially happy to purchase it on sale. The screen is very good! I also love that this laptop can be upgraded! I also love that the keyboard is rgb. My only complaint is that the downloadable program for rgb customization doesn’t work for this version. I’m assuming it’s to encourage people to buy the rog version of their laptops. Overall very pleased!

Good value but atrocious battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep this short and sweet: The good: fantastic non-gaming performance compared to my 5 year old Acer E15 laptop and likely on par with other newer systems; solid screen; sturdy build quality; keys had good travel and feel, though the lighting (even after adjusted) was distracting; good overall value when on sale. The bad: absolutely atrocious battery life. I'm not sure how this is supposed to compare to other gaming laptops but, even on an older game like Skyrim, you will get well under 2 hours out of this system before having to scramble to plug it in. My 5 year old Acer laptop is about on par with this system's battery life; yikes. Gaming performance: I did not have a chance to test it out on newer, AAA titles, however Skyrim held up fairly well on Ultra settings but an even older (and lower level title), Halo: Spartan Assault, was glitchy, froze and crashed at times. Not sure if that's the game or the system but that was completely unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. Final words: this is whopping 17.3" laptop which seems to be a good value within it's market but just was not for me, particularly due to the abysmal battery life.

Good laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a good laptop. I’m not sure what it is but whenever I’m playing it only seems to have a little over a hour of battery. Extends out to about 3 1/2 if I’m browsing the Internet or watching YouTube. When I have it on battery power it stutters when playing on a game like American Truck Simulator on high graphics setting. If I have it plugged in it runs smoothly even on ultra.

Great deal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best deals for a gaming PC under $1000 out there but doesn't come without certain faults. I was looking mainly at this one and the Acer Nitro 5 but that came with only 256gb storage for the same price, otherwise very similar specs. Pros: -Good for gaming -Keys and trackpad nice to use -144 Hz screen -Feels generally very sturdy -Like how you can customize the color of the backlit keyboard -Large screen also good for gaming, laptop is a bit heavy Cons: -Complete power hog - for me gets 1 hr of battery life even while just web browsing (this was on performance mode, probably gets more on power saver mode) -At times gets very hot, although I will say I often play games on my lap. I also don't know if this could have to do with Windows 11 to which I just upgraded. Recently it got up to 89 degrees C with a game that isn't all that demanding - which was a little concerning. This usually is not the case with this laptop in my experience though. -Obviously this laptop doesn't prioritize portability with how large it is, if that's what you want go for a smaller screen and something less bulky I took off one star mainly for the poor battery life but was otherwise a great purchase and definitely a steal.

Solid gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ram everything I threw at it, obviously at medium graphics running 50-85 fps like rdr2 and cyberpunk, tweaking some games and lowering resolution bumps it up to 100+ fps, I do recommend adding 8 more gbs of ram to unleash its true potential with a 500gb ssd, Poor battery life and not meant for gaming on the go

Amazing budget gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $799 on sale, this laptop is an absolute steal. For this price with a dedicated gpu, you're expected to get 8gb of ram and 512gb of storage. But what really sold me on this laptop was the fact that it has an additional ram slot and m2 ssd slot. I just went to amazon and spent an extra $80 to buy a second 8gb ram and 512gb ssd so my total price came out to $880. If you try and find a laptop with a 3050ti, 16gb ram, and 1tb ssd prebuilt, you're looking at upwards of $1k, so nabbing this for just $880 was a no brainer for me. Plays triple A games great on medium settings at 1080p. Only downside being that the 3050ti only has 4gb of VRAM, which can bottleneck higher demanding games on the highest settings, but I'm not much of a fidelity person so I always play my games on low-medium so the VRAM isn't much of an issue for me personally. The fan can get a bit loud when gaming. I would highly suggest buying a laptop stand so there is more room for ventilation. The laptop doesn't get that hot while gaming though, the fan is just a bit loud.

My very first gaming laptop I got today
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never had a gaming laptop before so this is all new to me . playing it until I figure out the screen was not 17 inch like it said it was. I measured it was barely 16 inch. Not sure if it’s the wrong information on the Inventory or what but over all I like it. it’s fast and kinda cheap.

Couldn't be happier
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic gaming laptop. Most games run on full settings at 4k. The RAM on the graphics card is just a bit too shy to mine ethereum. You'll also want to add more RAM as 8GB tends to get filled up pretty quick these days

Ok I guess.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good for gaming but battery life is **** cuz I mainly use it for college and its lasts a little over 2 hours with battery power saving on and about 3 tabs on chrome. Recommend: if you're just gonna play games in it plugged in. But for college, I don't.

great computer easy to upgrade could use a better
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop. I upgraded the ram to 32gigs and added a second ssd when I bought it. I got it on sale and it was well worth it. Runs quiet and cool. I do wish I would have got a 3070 or 3060ti card as the 50ti is kind of weak.

Better then expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is much better than most laptops and comes fairly cheap for what you get. It is kinda heavy though. The fan system is pretty great keeping the laptop cool. I wish the battery in gaming lasted more but for at desk use with a charger it's great.
