First theres a yellow tint i cant get rid of with any setting. The lower quarter of screen started developing lines when connected to a pc. It would clear if i turn off the monitor and back on or unplug the hdmi. Then the whole screen had developed these horizontal lines. It autofixed the first time but 2nd time it didnt so i returned it. Other thoughts...The volume shows 0 to 100 but it really only has low sound or medium sound. Navigation button is not easy to push in and often have to press twice. Input selection takes 4 or so clicks to get to and should be faster to switch. I do like it had built in speakers though. Setup is easy. Base stand is a bit big.

Lasted 5 months. Not worth it.

It was good as most of the reviews say for about 5 months. Then large pands of lines started filling the top portion of the screen hortizontaly. Tried reboot, tried, checking and unplugging cables, tried resetting factory settings, tried, youtube, tried everything. Its just not built to last. In fact I ended up not using it for gaming as much as i thought i would. It might have failed even sooner if i did. Bummer. I'm out of return window and out $200.00. The ASUS website tells me to talk to BesyBuy. What is BB gonna do for me?

Bad Monitors

I called and told them the problem, gave them the serial numbers, they said I needed to send them back, but I have to pay for shipping. I will not buy anymore electronics, 3

Bad qquality hardware?

Bought this monitor (VG279Q1A) only 4 months ago as a gift to my son. Today it developed horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen. The problem is definitely the monitor's hardware and not the PC it is plugged into. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to resolve this. ASUS warranty page, after entering in the serial number, refers me back to best buy. But using the chat bot with Best Buy makes it appear they only deal with people who use their Geek Squad Service. I really have to question the quality of ASUS's product here. Monitors are generally the most reliable component in a setup. For this to fail after only four months is pretty disappointing.

Complete garbage

Would not turn on, tried multiple outlets. Now I have to go back after Black Friday and wait in the return line like an idiot. This is what I get for switching brands. I’ll stick to acer.

We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience if the monitor will not power on or display no video.
Usually, you will do the following to resolve the issue. Please verify if the PC meets the system requirements of the monitor and the video port from the PC is working properly. If it does meet requirements, please check if the monitor is connected properly using known good video cable and the correct input source from the monitor was selected correctly. Check the AC adapter was properly connected from the monitor to a working surge protector or AC outlet and the power button is being pressed all the way down to trigger a power on signal.

watch out, display colors
