I have been struggling since I purchased this, to get it to work correctly. The blacks look like they are blocky/pixelated and the colors are not accurate. I have tried installing different color profiles, messing around with the settings on my graphics card AND on the monitor itself. I have tried using Windows calibration tools and going to websites to help as well. I am currently using HDMI to connect it to my new 2023 laptop with a RTX4060 card (I wanted a decent monitor and figured this would be it. The laptop supports 165Hz but the monitor only does 144, which I am ok with) . Since Asus has never let me down in the past, I tossed the box and the receipt so I am stuck with it I guess. I hope I get it all figured out soon because playing things like Jedi Survivor where it seems like its a yellow lit game and black caves look like garbage, is annoying. Maybe I have a bad unit, or maybe the HDMI cable is junk, I am going to try more solutions, but as of now I can NOT recommend this

I was going into this buy thinking I’m finally going to be with the top tier monitor group but this series didn’t fit my needs! It had flickering and only was able to do 1080p which is not good for me especially when on PS5 when my 24inch LG is allowed to Pish out 2160 so yeah… the only positive thing on this monitor was the overdrive and game modes.

      Dear AlonzoW,

We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused.

The flickering can be resolved by changing the settings into performance mode in the PC. Also, check if the correct video cable is being good and working properly. Yes, it can only do 1080p.

This is honestly the worst display I've seen. I don't know if I got a defective one or not but everything is entirely too yellow. I've seen reviews of this model with similar concerns on other sites. Yes it is 165hz, but the drawbacks to that are deal breaking. Black text on a white background is terrible looking and strains your eyes, in video/game everything has a slight yellow tint to it. And with a brightness of only 250candela it struggles to compete with even moderate office lighting. Asus used to be my favorite, but I'll be returning this and going with lg

    Dim

Bought this monitor hoping to replace a cheap 3 year old Viotek GN27DB the same size (27"). This Asus is dim. I mean really dim, compared to the Viotek. It made gaming nauseating. This monitor also only goes to 1080p so it really cannot maximize my Radeon 6950xt or for that fact any graphics car above a 1070. Very disappointed in ASUS on this one. Bought this deeply discounted on Black Friday deal and still paid more than the Viotek and still feel like I was robbed.

A $40 720p monitor looks better than this....

I don't know if I'm just used to better monitors or this is just one of the worst monitors I've ever seen in my life. Returned it an hour after I bought it. I compared this and a samsung g5 next to eachother and this is does NOT look like 165hz. Both were 1080p @ 165hz using displayport. I messed with every setting you can imagine and the blur on this monitor was horrible, unplayable IMO. And even if this was not an issue, the color on this monitor is 1/10. None of the settings I could manage to combine made any game I played look good. Everything looked VERY washed out. It really is a shame because I Was excited to get this for such a cheap price and seemingly great specs. Unless you're using a monitor from 2005, I would invest in something better.
