    Great Midrange Laptop

This is a well put together gaming laptop and best when purchased on sale (759.00 at the time). Battery life can fluctuate pretty heavy depending on what you are doing (2ish hours in game and about 9 doing web browsing). No issues running programs such as ARC Pro or other productivity programs such as office. Also has a second M.2 slot and can have the RAM improved to 32GB.

Have had this laptop a few months. I have no complaints. Handles work well decent battery life. Handles games even better. I really like that it looks like a normal laptop but can game when I want. Games played are Call of Duty and FFXIV online. Can say they both run at 60fps or greater at 1080p. FFXIV is good at 1440p on laptop low settings.

Son is very happy with this purchase. He previously had a different gaming laptop that died and figured cheaper in the log run to replace than try to fix it after getting a few quotes. For the price and quality of this new laptop, he is extremely pleased with the laptop overall. He likes the graphics, its smooth and the screen display looks good. The only thing he said is when playing some games the fans are loud but he said that's expected also.

I am keeping this laptop despite this review. I think price per dollar is an extremely good value. Especially since I bought this on sale for 700. Cons: -Sleep issues are still prevalent -Sometimes won't turn out without being plugged in after opening up to install ram/wifi/ssd Pros: -Great gaming performance at a 700 price point -Fans are not loud -Despite reviewers and advertised - I expect a consistent 9 hour battery life from this laptop, which to me is exceptional -Screen is visually pleasing, without going into technical detail. I returned the (now 1600 Asus ROG G16 w/ intel i7 13th gen + 4070) Yes, this laptop has a clearly better screen than the G16. -USB-C 100w charging is great alternative when you're in a pinch and don't want to lug around your 240w charger

Extreme performance for the $$$. If you can grab this during the sale, i would! Being an intel nvidia fan, i wantes to try this out. And im surprised! Runs better than a 4060 comparable, and much much better than a 4050 which seems to be all in this price range. Screen is really nice, deep dark colors. Took all updates and installs nicely. Love my new amd rig!

Easy to set up. No crapware other than W11. I appreciate how easy it was to add a second SSD. Cracking the case was simple with a plastic spudger. I keep it in silent mode because it's being used for multi track recording. It's as fast as my purpose built, air gapped studio computer. No perceptible fan noise at all. The only problems I have is dealing with Ammo Crate and AMD Tuning. I don't think they play well together. The other gotcha is the sound system. I use a variety of studio interfaces and they all work but trying to route didgial output to the headphone Jack has only worked ONE TIME. I was hoping to use this machine for mastering without any external gear attached. The display is awesome for what I'm doing. I've hooked it up to a 37" monitor and that works exceptionally well too. Kind of disappointed that it doesn't support 5600 memory. It has it hit only runs it at 4800. There doesn't appear to be any way to change it. If you're going to use it for gaming you probably need an external monitor, keyboard and mouse.

This is the 2nd ASUS - TUF Gaming A16 laptop I have purchased. The first was November of 2023 and my wife liked it so much, that when I needed to replace mine I bought a 2nd one. Speed and graphics are great, so far no complaints and for under $800 it could not be passed up.

Bought this for my daughter. She carries it all over, and it meets all her needs. She likes Minecraft, some Disney games on Steam, and Roblox (chat/messaged disabled!) Sometimes it doesn't wake from sleep mode, and I help her by doing a hard shut off and booting back up. This is more of a driver/Windows 11 issue - but still keeps it from 5 stars. Specs are fantastic for the price range.

Good for Light Gaming and Work

I would give 4 stars, but I am giving it three because it was listed as an open box containing all components, however, it was missing the charger and booklets. The laptop itself is good for light gaming and is deserving of a 4 star rating. But if you plan to do any kind of heavy gaming on it, I recommend switching out the RAM and adding another SSD, as it has two ports to do so. It is still a very good laptop for light gaming and doing school/company work without the upgrades.

I've been really happy with this laptop thus far. The screen is amazing, the processing is really fast, and I haven't had any freeze ups or issues yet. However, the keyboard drives me nuts. The design is such that if you are laying down you can see the lighting glaring under the keys, which is super distracting. If you turn the light off, you can barely see the keys even in a lit room. Also the battery does not last long even on eco mode. But for what I paid I am still very satisfied.

Fast Laptop but with some issues

Laptop came shipped in a simple cardboard box with cardboard supports inside to protect it. A+ on the eco friendly packaging. Laptop gets plenty hot, as others have stated, uncomfortably hot even... a cooling pad that have a few fans would help if you're planning on sitting on the couch, etc. with this laptop in your lap. Laptop has had some sleep issues that seems to be intermittent. I've updated BIOS / all drivers, per ASUS but it still doesn't seem to always want to sleep properly. As I currently don't utilize the laptop full time, I haven't "dealt" with the issues yet but hope ASUS takes the issues seriously or they'll end up with a ton of RMA requests. Wifi card didn't play very nicely with my older router... I ended up getting a new router but researching it, it seems like many users have had issues with the WiFi card that ships with this laptop. You can swap it out with an Intel AX200 or AX210 for $20-$30 .. alas, most people don't want the hassle of having to do that with a brand new laptop.

Solid mid/low-tier gaming laptop. There is a CPU bottleneck for sure and I recommend upgrading to 32GB DDR5 RAM (not in this economy though). With upscaling tech, it can run most AAA games at 50-60 FPS and competitive games at >144 FPS. Battery life is very average (do not travel without your power brick).

Great computer, runs fast, I did get an additional SSD, the SN770 just for extra. Helps keep computer running smooth. You can’t go wrong with ASUS. I even have the gaming phone with this company and no complaints other than running a little hot, but it’s a phone so the fans aren’t big enough.

Ive been using this laptop a little over a month almost every evening and im thoroughly satisfied. Only complaint i have is the storage that comes out of the box. The 500gb ssd is fine if you only play light games but after 3 big games your out of storage. So an hdd upgrade is needed but its great other than that. Has great cooling, no weird issues with drivers and holds the performance through and through

Works pretty great, no major complaints. I will say that some more demanding games will have the fans running super loud so just be aware of that.
