Great keyboard. Even light distribution. Numberpad included. Display is more vibrant and sharper than the m16. Gaming performance is better than the 2024 g16. Lightweight quiet beast AMD advantage animal! Its crushes frame rates with good battery too. I got the most excellent deal on this laptop with a price match! It doesn't have a shapeshifter folding touchscreen. That would be the haji cherry popin' on the topin' Ride this thing through Armageddon with the solid Asus military grade retro desert storm lid! Win Win Win no matter what.

I got mine for $1199 a few weeks ago. I was comparing it to the Asus G14 (2024 model w/ a 4070). After a couple weeks of testing them side by side, I returned the G14 and kept the A16. Yes, the OLED on that laptop was amazing, but the display on this laptop is no slouch. Maybe I got lucky, but my model came with no signs of IPS glow. Just 500 nits of pure bliss, with 100% DCI-P3 coverage at 1600p and a 240Hz refresh rate without the worry of potential burn-in. Granted, the speakers on the A16 pale in comparison to the G14, but they are perfectly fine on their own. Headphones will take care of any worries, and even when you don't want to wear headphones, you still have Dolby Atmos enabled speakers at your disposal. As far as performance goes, I have played several hours of BG3 in Act 3 at max settings with barely a hitch (on Balanced; Turbo is a bit loud for my taste). I had FSR set to Quality, just to be safe, but outside of Wyll's magic attacks being delayed a few seconds (which also happened on the G14), I couldn't be happier. I can also run Hogwarts Legacy (with Ray Tracing disabled and FSR set to Quality) at Ultra without a fuss. Full disclosure: I upgraded my RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB, which definitely helps. The description and even the sticker on the laptop says the RAM maxes out at 4800MHz, but guess what? It runs at 5600MHz now! As long as you have the RAM to match. I did not experience any driver issues like the previous poster did. I also uninstalled Armory Crate and replaced it with every Asus owner's favorite alternative: g-helper. Armory Crate will get the job done, but I prefer less bloat on my machines. Use Armory Crate, or don't. It is entirely up to you! But one thing you should do is strongly consider this laptop as your next gaming laptop! A note on battery life: I can get about 6-8 hours on average; sometimes more. No complaints here. I have not tested the battery life while gaming. I always have it plugged in while I game. It is also a pretty good looking laptop, too. Reminds me of Zelda's color scheme a bit, and I love me some Zelda!

It took me a little bit to get used to the AMD software options which was a little frustrating at first coming from the ease of use on Nvidia. After getting used to how to optimize the system for what i needed, this thing is a powerhouse. The brightness of the 16:10 screen makes it usable even when outdoors. The QHD 1440p 240hz refresh gives you an incredibly crisp and vibrant viewing on videos and games. The laptop is also lighter than expected. This is my 3rd gaming laptop going from MSI, to Acer Nitro and finally landing on Asus amd i gotta say this laptop stomps the compatition for its price range.

This resulted in a bluescreen during installation of the driver and I had to factory reset the laptop. Probably never going to try and update it again. Other than that, laptop is great.

Major issue with the graphics card and screen flickering. Geek Squad said they have had a lot of issues with ASUS driver issues.
