Great performance and solid build. This ASUS TUF handles gaming and heavy tasks smoothly, stays cool under load, and feels very durable. The display and keyboard are comfortable for daily use. Battery life is average for a gaming laptop, but overall it’s an excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.

am extremely impressed with the ASUS TUF Gaming F16. This laptop delivers outstanding performance right out of the box. Games run smooth and fast, even at higher settings, and everyday tasks like multitasking, streaming, and work are effortless. The combination of the Intel Core i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and the RTX graphics card makes this machine feel powerful and responsive at all times. The 16 inch display is bright, sharp, and incredibly smooth thanks to the 165Hz refresh rate. It makes a noticeable difference in gaming and even regular browsing feels more fluid. The keyboard is comfortable for long sessions and the overall build feels solid and durable, which is exactly what I expect from the TUF series. Cooling has been excellent so far. Even during longer gaming sessions, the system stays stable without excessive heat or noise. Storage is also a huge plus. The 1TB SSD provides plenty of space and very fast load times. This laptop offers great value for the performance you get. It is a great choice for gamers, students, or anyone who needs a powerful and reliable laptop that can handle demanding tasks.

*BEFORE YOU START GAMING OR DOING ANYTHING ELSE ON THE LAPTOP - update all your drivers and install the latest BIOS which can be done easily through the MyAsus app or in the windows update section. Also shoutout to ASUS! I had some issues with my initial review unit, but they stepped up and helped me out in a very timely manner. You can definitely feel confident going with them! Now onto the F16 (2025) Gaming laptop - This laptop roughly falls into the mid-range price bracket of gaming laptops and it does a good job of balancing all the different specifications. It’s well-rounded and I don’t think there are many changes I’d personally make if I was designing it. PERFORMANCE: First off some benchmark scores/temperatures - 3DMark Time Spy - 11630 Geekbench 6 - 2669 SINGLE-CORE / 15837 MULTI-CORE GPU temp - 70-75C CPU temp - 65-70C (few spikes here and there but nothing massive) Featuring a i7-14650HX, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a RTX 5060 this gaming laptop can pretty much handle any game at Full HD+ - I mainly played eSport titles like CS2 and also threw in some of my favorite racing games like Forza Horizon 5. I did not have to tweak any graphic settings to get an enjoyable experience, but this also is in part because of the display only being Full HD+ (1920x1200) the 8GB of VRAM on the GPU could be a potential problem in the future, but for now I found it to be plenty. The laptop also stays fairly quiet and cool even when you load up the most intensive benchmarks! Gone are the days of these things being a hot loud mess. CONNECTIVITY: This thing is loaded with ports which are nice to see - 2 x USB-C 3.2, 3 x USB-A 3.2, Thunderbolt, HDMI, Charging port, and a headphone jack. You can also charge the laptop with USB-C though in most cases I’d recommend just using the proprietary charger for full performance. You could also hook this up to an external monitor and use it as a desktop PC if you wish. DISPLAY: Large at 16” this LCD display is honestly just average and seems to be the one area ASUS cut corners in. It’s not very bright (300 nits) and at 165Hz is a bit underwhelming especially when we are starting to see 240 become more of a standard. Still it's plenty good for any casual video streaming or gaming as long as you aren’t hitting super high FPS in eSport titles. BATTERY LIFE: By default the laptop will go into “Silent mode” and lower the refresh rate to 60Hz when running on battery. This will be good enough for any light gaming, browsing, or watching videos. I got about 7-8 hours of screen-on-time doing exactly that. Respectable result especially for a gaming laptop, and you can change the settings if you want some more performance in exchange for battery life. KEYBOARD: Pretty good keyboard for a laptop with minimal travel and full RGB (the stock photos only show orange, but I can assure you its RGB :)) It’s also full size with an extra row for volume and accessing the armory crate software. SPEAKERS: Speakers are rather average and only get decently loud. They also blast from the bottom edges, so you don’t get that audio blasting in your face sadly. I mostly used a headset so this wasn’t a big deal to me. STORAGE: The 1TB SSD is plenty and can be easily expanded (I use an external USB-C one) . If this laptop cost any more I would have expected at least 2TBs though. BUILD QUALITY: This thing is tough TUF ;p The hinge is VERY strong and sturdy and feels like it will always work as it should. There is also minimal deck flexing though it's mostly when you’re pushing on the top. PROS: * Good choice of CPU/GPU * 32GB of RAM * Good temps * Lots of ports * Amazing build quality CONS: * Display could have been better

Amazing performance and speed of the computer. Does blow the fans loudly but only for a couple of seconds. Haven't had any problems of it overheating. Battery life could be better but overall, for the price this is one of the best laptops you can get, especially if you are an engineering student.

recently spent a week using a mid‑to‑high end gaming laptop, and overall it’s quite impressive. The cooling system kicks in aggressively under heavy load, but it keeps temperatures somewhat manageable — though you can hear the fans. The display is sharp with a high refresh rate (144‑240Hz), making motion in fast‑paced games smooth and pleasing. The keyboard is responsive, with nice key travel and feedback — good for long gaming sessions.

This is a really great mid-level gaming laptop. Tested it across a broad range of games and testing apps it performs really well and rates very high against other comparable rigs. Battery runs a tad loud and lasts maybe 2 hours on high spec games with battery options off. Display size is good and you do get better on a high end external monitor. The ASUS layout is interesting with the display sitting a bit offset from the power supply and fans but I think that design is better for heat management.

This laptop is perfect for what I purchased it for...and more. Has plenty of processing power for music production and video editing. And I also have been running 'Sons of the Forest' on max settings, outputting at 4k resolution to a monitor, with DLSS on Balanced, and never drop below 60 fps. Great overall laptop for a good price. Ive been running it plugged in, but ran on battery once for 4 hours at max setting before it gave me a battery life warning. The display is bright, colorful, and crisp, and the VRR up to 144hz is great. The blacks are super dark, but for the price and specs, it does the job. Very happy with my purchase!

I’ve been using this ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (i7-14650HX, 32GB RAM, RTX 5060) for work, and it has exceeded my expectations. The performance is outstanding! Fast startup, smooth multitasking, and absolutely no lag. Most importantly, it works perfectly with my intraoral scanner, handling real-time processing and imaging without any issues. The graphics card and processor are more than capable of supporting demanding dental software and 3D scanning workflows. Build quality is solid, the screen is sharp and bright, and the system stays cool even during heavy use. For the price, the value is excellent. Highly recommended for my professional applications.

Works perfectly for my gaming habits. Games like destiny, Palworld, tarkov and many others work perfectly. Very close to the smoothness of my actual self built gaming PC. Very please with this i would highly recommended. Battery life off the charger for games like Destiny is about 3 maybe 4 hours but thays to be expected. This is great for Starters in the pc gaming world and also for advanced members specifically if you want to bring along a rig when traveling.

I loved this laptop for all the power under the hood (Intel Chip, 32MB RAM) and the excellent screen. It had great looks (except for the annoying habit of flashing the keyboard lights while sleeping). Ultimately, however, I had to exchange it because of the keyboard and touchpad layout. I do not have huge hands by any means, but I am a touch typist and hold my hands over the home keys (ASDF - JKL;). Simply put, the keys were cramped closely together and the keypad was off-center too far to the left side of the laptop. As a result, I found it difficult to type on this laptop. My fingers were scrunched together, my index fingers were practically touching when on the home keys, and my wrists had to be held at uncomfortable angles. In fact, I did not like how little room was available on the left side to rest my wrist when gaming with the keyboard. As a result, I took advantage of Best Buy's incredible benefits offered through their Best Buy Memberships program and exchanged the laptop for the ASUS ROG Strix G16. So far, I am very happy with that machine and will review when it has more mileage on it. I would absolutely recommend this product IF AND ONLY IF you get a chance to check out the keyboard to see if it is a good fit for you. I will say that I will miss the numeric keys, but they did not outweigh the need for more space on the left. By the way, trust me and do not believe people who say that Best Buy Memberships are not worth the money. The fact that I could exchange the laptop almost two months later was an incredible benefit. I ordered the TUF online, so it proved invaluable to be able to "test drive" it to see if I really wanted to exchange it. Trust also that I am a real user and not a paid endorser for Best Buy. Just sharing my good fortune and honest endorsement.

Great little laptop! I use it for CAD instead of gaming which can really drag a computer down on intense drawings. This little computer hasn't had the slightest issues keeping up with that sort of task along with running other programs all at the same time. Lots of things to love about this thing. For the price it packs a punch. Typing on it feels outstanding and I would even say, better than high end key boards in my opinion. If I had one thing I would change about it, it would be the 4 keyboard keys that light up differently than the rest because the keys are a near translucent key. But obviously wasn't a deal breaker for me and now that I have had it for some time, that doesn't really bother me anymore. If your debating this laptop as an option, I would say you wont regret it. Its a great running machine!

The laptop is an absolute steal for the price! The SSD speed is fantastic the graphics card is powerful (STALKER2 on high with frame generation enabled runs at 60-80 fps) I was impressed with the face unlock using the IR camera. Highly recommend it Drawbacks: -flimsy case - fairly loud cooling under load -issues when installing the OS - single RAM stick - stutters when switching between integrated and discrete graphics

I really like this; it has really good performance for its price. Been using it for a couple of months for gaming/work, didn't have any issues. When I bought it, I had an error about battery charging, but it was expected since the BIOS was out of date. Overall recommend it.

This laptop runs games smoother than I’ve seen from any previous computer I’ve had, AND has enough storage to hold a lot of games. Also it’s able to keep itself super cool despite the heavy games I’ve been playing on it, so I have no fear of it overheating. It doesn’t struggle from being used for a long consecutive period of time either.

The product is well made, overall I would suggest buying. The fans, of course can be loud but that’s to be expected. The battery life is OK for a gaming laptop, I get about 2 hours, but it depends on the games you’re playing. The FPS drop when unplugging the laptop. So, for example, if I’m at 120FPS, I drop to 60 FPS after unplugging.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F16 really impressed me with its power and solid build quality. Everything runs incredibly smoothly—games, work tasks, and demanding apps handle with ease thanks to the i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and RTX 5060 graphics. The 16" display is sharp and fluid, perfect for both gaming and watching content. The keyboard feels comfortable with great lighting, and the laptop offers all the ports you could need. It feels sturdy and reliable overall. The only downsides are the battery life and weight, but given its performance, that’s a fair trade-off.

This was my 2nd pick after returning an Alienware laptop that was just to big to use as a work computer. This computer brings function and performance in one sleak build! Asus never lets me down with their machines. So far daily work tasks are flawless under moderate loads and videos are crisp and clean. Havent had a chance to test some games on it, but for me this thing runs great.
