It can pretty much handle any AAA game you can throw at it. These 40 series cards run cool stock already but I always undervolt my gpu’s, this card runs even cooler. I have not seen this hard hit more than 68° at max load. If your planning on upgrading to 40 series, the 4090 is the the go to.

Apart from gaming, I started getting into machine learning and AI which is where the CUDA cores and VRAM makes sense for this. If you're looking at a card for only gaming, would recommend a different card however.

A 4090 coming in DOA is completely unacceptable given how long these cards have been on the market. I'm running a Titanium rated 1600w PCIE 5.0 power supply that works 100% with another 4090 of the same model, 3080ti and a 2080ti, so this clearly a card specific issue that's present. If you see a red light on the cards PCIE 5.0 connector, you're likely going to experience the same behavior that mine did. The previous 4090 I had experienced coil whine and random black screens, so I'm going to lean towards poor quality control on the Asus side, which if anyone has been paying attention this company over the last 10 years has notice a steady decline in overall reliablity. My advice to anyone who has 30-60 days of a return window...if you notice even the slightest issue, make a return. My suggestion is to steer clear of Asus if you can and go for a card from MSI or a founders card. At least then you will get some that feels like it's worth your hard earned cash.
