    I went from a 6700xt to the 5080 asus tuf and the improvement on SOME games is realy good but it still is not worth the cost. I would suggest people to let them cool down and buy when the price is better.

    It’ll be good for 2k monitor but not 4k with only 16gb of video ram. And paying resaler’s price for a 5080 is a scam. I’ll give 4 star if it cost less than $1100. 5 star for minimum 24gb of ram. Don’t buy it! Totally waste of money

    Card runs cool. Coil whine is absolutely terrible. A buddy of mine got an MSI around the same time and hasn't had any issues. I lucked out and was able to pick up an MSI from their website so I am returning this. I've typically always gone ASUS in the past during my 5 yr refresh.. but with how bad their brand has become with RMA and QC.. time to look some where else.

      We do understand your concern about the coil-whine you are hearing. This high-pitched noise may not always be a GPU related issue. It is caused by the induction coils on the video card, power supply or the motherboard. If you are overclocking the GPU, try to disable overclocking or decrease the speed if the noise goes away. Coil whine will not damage the video card and doesn't affect performance. It is simply a vibration on the inductor while power passes through it. Our video card is designed with large inductors that will provide the needed power to the card overall. If this is coming from the video card, this noise will usually become quieter or will go away after using it for a while.
