Great display!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a Samsung G3 165Hz and was very disappointed that it had very noticeable ghosting with motion in games. Defeats the purpose of a high refresh monitor and looks pretty bad. I returned it, got this IPS panel and I'm very satisfied. Great ergonomics and good size for 1080p. Slight ghosting with Trace Free set to 80 in display settings, but image is still much more clear than the Samsung G3. Trace Free set to 100 causes inverse-ghosting and better Trace Free settings can be achieved within the monitor developer options but are reset after display goes standby. Shame the display is capable of better image clarity in motion but Asus didn't configure the display as good as they could. Happy with the color reproduction and the contrast isn't quite as good as the Samsung G3 at 4000:1 but it's decent. Best color settings: R: 100 G: 98 B: 100 Highly recommend checking out the VG259QR review on youtube by Techless! You can download a windows color profile for this display from his video description for slightly better color accuracy.
