My desktop had built in wifi when I brought it which was a nice perk in my opinion. But maybe after a year it suddenly just stopped connecting and wouldn’t work no matter what I did to fix its internal networking issues. Thankfully this little plug in did the job perfectly, without taking up a lot of space and giving me fast speeds! It was simply plug n play. No fuss. Not much more you can say about it.

So small yet works so great. Bought a used desktop (Dell XPS 8700) at an estate sale and it didn't have wireless capability. So tried this. Quick set up and computer was online. No issues at all. I didn't want to mess around with installing a board inside. This just plugged right into the back USB port.
Very please with this product.
For sure recommend this.

Allowed upgrade of HP laptop computer from 2.4 band running at 72 Mbps on its installed WIFI card to 2.4 running at nearly 300 Mbps and add the 5.0 band (which was not included on the WIFI card on this computer and is usually not included on WIFI cards in most new inexpensive laptops) running over 800 Mbps. Small size allows it to remain installed and not get caught on things when laptop is moved around. Does get a little warmer than other USB WIFI devices I have used. Definitely recommend if you need to add 5.0 band to any computer, it also works on my desktop.

Asus USB AC53 Nano AC1200 Dual-Band WI-FI 5 USB Network Adapter works well with very easy setup. It was a lot cheaper than replacing the laptop pc so we could use the internet and home wireless network.

Needed to set up a new computer that did not have a built in Wifi. It works as stated, it does get hot when used heavily. BE SURE TO INSTALL THE CD. Read the instructions and install the driver before trying to fully use this else you'll be hit many many blue screens.

Easy install and setup, low profile allows for clean organization for my desktop. Signal seems a little weak, but my wifi source isn't great so it doesn't seem fair to blame the USB card.

This was a major game changer for me! Working from home, internet connectivity is the utmost priority. This adapter is conspicuous, works well alongside my other USB devices (mouse/keyboard/printer) without physical interference. Speed is wonderful, it doubled the speed from my previous speed and I haven't had any inexplicable disconnects. My router and desktop are on separate floors.

This dongle was very easy to set up. I used the supplied CD to install the driver, and after the installation and a computer reboot, my wireless network was automatically detected. I don't have the most Mbps for my internet connection, but the desktop computer I'm using, an older little Dell Optiplex, is pretty quick on the internet, and the computer is in the opposite end of the house from my wireless router. I would say this product is working very well. The price was good, and I would purchase it again.

Bought this because I had a couple windows PC's wherein there apparently was a Windows update that screwed up the drivers for the network cards. Thought that both laptops had fried wifi network cards, so I bought this so I could continue to use them. Upon using this device, which worked seamlessly and swiftly, new updates occurred and I found that the updates corrected the network card issues. Considering I've always had funky experiences with Windows updates and am mainly a Mac user, I will have this in my arsenal so that if there are issues I can quickly find a solution related to connectivity. If for some reason network cards do get fried, this device is excellent because it's so small there's no worries about plugging it into a USB and worrying about an antenna or it sticking out far from the USB port making where you use it (lap, etc) challenging. Definitely would recommend this. Install was really quite easy and swift. Immediately worked without issue. Definitely would recommend to someone needing wifi connectivity or even as a preventive step in the event of wifi connectivity issues that may come about. Good tool to have in the toolbox.

Plug and play despite the instructions. Works well, very small, easy to use, and convenient for a relatively decent price for a wifi adapter. I purchased this on an emergency run for my desktop while on a trip out of town and I literally was able to plug it into my computer and start uploading photos immediately.

I was quite surprised when the built-in network adapter failed on my Asus laptop. As a former PC builder/assembler, I have always known Asus products to be the best of the best; top-quality components, excellent build quality, great customer service. I was very please to see that Best Buy offered a USB Network Adapter by my favorite manufacturer. I checked stock at my local BB retail store on the web page, order online and picked it up at the store an hour later. I downloaded a driver from the Asus site (only to find later it was included in the box on a mini-CD), popped in the USB "Nub" and watched it install itself in Windows 10. When prompted, I identified my network as "Home" and I was back online. It was that easy. Less than two hours elapsed between my discovering the problem and having it fixed and running (actually improving my performance as my built-in adapter was 802.11 N and the new Asus is dual band 802.11 AC). Kudos to Best Buy and Asus.

My PC does not have On board wifi and so I normally am using wired ethernet and I purchased this as a temporary substitute while I had my PC in a different location. The dongle is small and hardly noticable no matter where you have it plugged in works very well especially to the advertised MBPS speed have had 0 issues with the dongle and have found any connectivity issues are from external sources

Bought this for my son’s old computer(10 yrs old) to link to internet. Easy set up and has good range (his computer is in basement and my wifi router is on 2nd floor). His USB port is on front of computer and this adapter does not stick out so his leg will not knock it out (he always did with the old adapter)

My father in law moved to the area where my wife and I live. He brought his 20 year old desktop computer with him. He used the computer for internet access at his prior house but it was set up with an Ethernet cable. Times have changed and everywhere he stayed had only wireless connections. It would be easy to just get him to go buy a new computer but when you are 93 and have used the same computer for 20 years that isn't an option. That is where the Asus USB Network Adapter came in. I purchased this from Best Buy and set it up on his computer. Downloading the software took only a few minutes. Then I was able to find the wireless network for the Extended Stay Hotel he was living in and got the computer connected to the internet. This Network Adapter did everything it said it would. Very nice.

I've had hit and miss experiences with network adaptors like this one, especially those included in prebuilt gaming computers. I was skeptical but in need of one, and this has certainly met my expectations. It's range was not as good as I wanted, which is why it got 4 and not 5 stars. It did however pick up 170 mbps from a 400mbps EERO network system in the next room, about 20 feet away through a very well insulated wall. After a couple of weeks of constant use I have not had any connection issues or loss of signal. It has definitely met my needs!
