For a small adapter for AC wifi, this adapter works great. My house it's about 100 ft and few a few walls and does not have any issues. It does get a little hot but for such a small package it should do anyone great.

This came in handy when my Dell laptop updated and made the wifi adapter unusable. Dell could not help me get the wifi adapter up and running so I purchased this until i can attempt to dive deeper in to why it's not working. The guys at Geek Squad says this happens alot when Dells update. This has been working well since I bought it. It's slim and fits snug against the USB port so as not to stick out and get hung up on everything.

It's tiny but works surprisingly well. I've got it sitting around the corner and about 15 feet from the wireless router. No problems. Speed is good.

Speed is good, easy to use, compatible with different os, buUuUutTt windows os wont auto detect/install... you need to install the cd driver that comes with it and in 2023 now one has a cd driver anymore, it should be plug and play... therefore 3*** only :(

    Good adapter for my laptop

I was a little skeptical about this product solving my problems with my Zoom meetings, my connection was always glitchy and said my internet was unstable. I called my internet provider and they suggested I get a USB dual band wi-fi adapter to convert my laptop from 2G to 5G, and that would pretty much solved my problem. Although the first time that I was on Zoom afterward, I did get that unstable internet signal again, but after that I haven't had any problems since. I guess it took a couple of times for my laptop to adjust (just my assumption). This product did the job and was reasonably priced.

Easy install, setup, and use. Will pick up both of my networks, works on dual band. Does not drop signal, and have not experienced any lack in speed over time. Have not had to reset the adapter during use.

I gave it 4 stars because I first plugged it in, set up the driver, it didn't detect the network. Then it finds the network, but can't connect. That wasn't the reason for a 4 star review. I connected it to a USB extension (my setup is on the floor in the basement). Now I got a 20 foot USB extension running along the wall with something the size of a nickel at the end. The reason for 4 stars was the first one got REALLY hot. May have been some bad connections inside to cause the overheat. The speeds are desirable. I am connecting at speeds between 300 and 700 without stutter and headaches. It's worth it but make sure the heat stays warm, not hot. Also make sure you not so out of range like me.

I bought this to use with an older laptop that lacks the ability to use 5ghz Wi-Fi. I specifically like the compact size of this adapter. I can leave it plugged into the laptop and since it only protrudes a quarter of an inch, I don't have to worry about accidentally breaking it. The only drawback is that that its antenna is smaller so it might not get as strong a signal as larger adapters, but I've still been able to average better than 200Gbs on my Wi-Fi.

I have stuck with another brand for a long time and thought they could do no wrong. Well they got full of themselves and let the world pass them by. Along comes Asus to the rescue. Not only was it the size I needed to fit my busy laptop lifestyle, but it was also the fastest one I ever owned. Hooking up at a work site with a A broadcast I am getting 200mbs from this item. Even my other one (twice the price) is only getting 130mbs on it's best day. Highly recommend for the laptop crowd that needs space saving with the speed compromise. I never take it out of the usb slot and use it to shotgun my laptops built in wifi. so grand total is 200mbs on usb and 300mbs on the onboard. Who needs cable at this rate..

The wifi card on my laptop finally bit the dust and I immediately went to best buy and found this ASUS USB wifi adapter. The driver install was simple and had me back up and running ready to play within an hour. Still take it with me every time I travel with my laptop.

Have a 2015 era HP Probook, and the wireless seemed to be having trouble recently connecting at the far end of my house. Speed ratings using fast.com seemed to struggle to get past 10mbps causing slow loading web pages. This ASUS wireless device now gives speeds >50mbps under the same conditions, and much faster when closer to the modem. You DO have to remember to disable the built in wireless, otherwise the computer will continue to use the old one. For $32....I now have a very usable computer again.

One of my laptops is over 4 years old. I have so many things on it, that I don't want to get rid of it. You can call the old girl my workhorse laptop! I got rid of the old WM HDD and upgraded it to a Samsung SSD. Things are running a lot faster, but I was still getting only 2ghz wifi. This little gizmo enabled my old laptop with 5ghz! Simply hook it up to one of your USB ports, install the driver, and that's it!

Wow. This was a great wifi USB device for our desktop. Literally is plug and play and nothing complicated to it. Fast speeds and works well with our wireless router even though it's up stairs and the router is down stairs. Would definitely recommend.
