This is a great product. It works fast with my internet and was easy to install. You will need a disk drive or a way to connect to the internet to get this to work. Excellent way to create a fast wifi connection. I download/play games and stream videos and I have never ran into any issues.

Really love this little gadget. It has a very small profile, but carries a punch. It works just as if you had your computer wired to your connection.

I have stuck with another brand for a long time and thought they could do no wrong. Well they got full of themselves and let the world pass them by. Along comes Asus to the rescue. Not only was it the size I needed to fit my busy laptop lifestyle, but it was also the fastest one I ever owned. Hooking up at a work site with a A broadcast I am getting 200mbs from this item. Even my other one (twice the price) is only getting 130mbs on it's best day. Highly recommend for the laptop crowd that needs space saving with the speed compromise. I never take it out of the usb slot and use it to shotgun my laptops built in wifi. so grand total is 200mbs on usb and 300mbs on the onboard. Who needs cable at this rate..

A great upgrade for an older laptop

I bought this to use with an older laptop that lacks the ability to use 5ghz Wi-Fi. I specifically like the compact size of this adapter. I can leave it plugged into the laptop and since it only protrudes a quarter of an inch, I don't have to worry about accidentally breaking it. The only drawback is that that its antenna is smaller so it might not get as strong a signal as larger adapters, but I've still been able to average better than 200Gbs on my Wi-Fi.

Speed is good, easy to use, compatible with different os, buUuUutTt windows os wont auto detect/install... you need to install the cd driver that comes with it and in 2023 now one has a cd driver anymore, it should be plug and play... therefore 3*** only :(

Have a 2015 era HP Probook, and the wireless seemed to be having trouble recently connecting at the far end of my house. Speed ratings using fast.com seemed to struggle to get past 10mbps causing slow loading web pages. This ASUS wireless device now gives speeds >50mbps under the same conditions, and much faster when closer to the modem. You DO have to remember to disable the built in wireless, otherwise the computer will continue to use the old one. For $32....I now have a very usable computer again.

One of my laptops is over 4 years old. I have so many things on it, that I don't want to get rid of it. You can call the old girl my workhorse laptop! I got rid of the old WM HDD and upgraded it to a Samsung SSD. Things are running a lot faster, but I was still getting only 2ghz wifi. This little gizmo enabled my old laptop with 5ghz! Simply hook it up to one of your USB ports, install the driver, and that's it!

I had been using my grandmother’s old home computer but its internet functionality stopped working. After trying everything, I figured I’d give this little gadget a try. It worked immediately! I didn’t have to download any software, just plugged it in and the computer was able to pick up network signals again. I should have started with this, it would have saved so much time. Nevertheless, very happy with this purchase!

Works great under normal conditions, but be ware of hot weather. They get really hot. Having one that sticks out further helps with the heat and is more effective in detecting a signal. Of course, the more it sticks out, the more likely it is to get damaged, but I don't trust this little one anymore - does not work in many settings were the signal is weak or the temperature is high.

Dual band connectivity for standard and 5G WiFi networks this little thing is soooo small so you barely notice it's even there and there is no disc or software needed for this to work, Windows 10 automatically installed the drivers for this device and the interface/process on connecting to a wifi network is identical to a Windows computer that has a wifi card built in to it.

Wow. This was a great wifi USB device for our desktop. Literally is plug and play and nothing complicated to it. Fast speeds and works well with our wireless router even though it's up stairs and the router is down stairs. Would definitely recommend.

Great little trinket; I needed internet on my PC, had no way of being able to hardwire in and so was in need to making Wifi available to my PC, went to Best Buy to ask about how to go about doing that, and this was one of I think three products that they sold that would do what I needed it to. I believe this was the best/fastest option they had (something to do with the number after "AC" -- "AC1200"), and IIRC it was the same price as a "lesser" option, so I just went with this one. It was the best ~$40 I had spent in a while! Does exactly what it's meant to: provides Wifi to a PC that doesn't otherwise have the ability to connect to Wifi. I was using it to play online video games such as League of Legends and Warframe; no lag or DC issues that stemmed from this little magic-box that I know of! Best of all, IIRC, it's basically "plug-and-play", so you can just stick it into your PC's USB port, run the wizard that opens right up for you, and wait the 15 seconds it takes to "set up" and you're good to game! Definitely recommend this little thing. I'm hardwired in now, permanently, but this thing is so little and such a lifesaver that I've just left it in the port so I don't end up losing it, should I need it again someday!
