This works plug and play on windows, but needs extra drivers to get it to work on Linux. Has pretty short range, but that's to be expected from the size.

Bought this is an attempt to use it to replace my failing wifi card. Signal on it is not great, even when the router is in the same room. Pretty inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

Great invention. When Lightning hit the tower across the field. It took out the WiFi and router and the Internet adapter in the computer. Geek Squad suggested I go from ethernet to wifi with this small piece> I put it in one of the USB ports and it works like a champ. Spectrum replaced the other equipment. Everything is back to normal. Recommend you isolate your computer from lightning issues with this little device. issues
