WIN 11 ready but not for initial setup OOBE/Linux

I bought this while out on a job for a new PC that I was pre-staging and setting up a new OOBE windows 11 system for a client. Card works great but.... It is packaged with a small USB with a setup.exe on it for the driver package which is awesome since I was using this get internet on a brand new in a box PC. The issue was that the during the initial welcome OOBE experience the device doesn't auto mount and recognize the device when you plug it and you need to run the setup.exe to get the driver installed. I WISH this device was auto recognized by windows when it's plugged in but you don't have the option during the initial setup to navigate to the driver or run an executable so I was forced to re-locate the PC and use the onboard mobo nic. So to get that 5th star ASUS please do whatever you need to do to get these card auto recognized by windows for those edge case scenarios. I also tried to use the WIFI with a linux mint setup and had simliar issues getting the driver going in Linux. So buyer beware if trying to use this for something like a linux mint rescue setup.

    Works but Speed is Meh

Product installation was easy, but the speed was disappointing, I was only getting around 5 Mbps because my desktop PC is in a corner of the room. I ended up buying a different and cheaper product with an antenna and that one giving me around 100 Mbps speed. Tested both products next day and had very similar result, I ended up returning this USB adapter.

Was having network performance issues on my all-in-one desktop which had built in wifi 6. Adding this, and connecting to the WiFi with both adapters (this and the internal one) the speedtest.net results now jump right to the best speeds (what we pay for) right away rather than creeping up to it (or not getting there at all).

This Wi-Fi dongle is very reliable and fast. My only issue was that it did not come with a driver. I had to connect my hotspot to my computer and search for the driver online (which was a little difficult to find). However, once I found it, it worked great.

Perfect tiny little wifi adapter. My laptop's internal wifi adapter is likely going out because it intermittently fails. The last time it lost the drivers so I decided to get this tiny USB adapter because it came with it's drivers. Literally moments after plugging it in, I was back online to reinstall the laptop's drivers. Perfect solution.

Works well though the tiny form factor certainly causes a lot of heat to the touch. Not concerningly warm but surprisingly so. Some mild latency but otherwise great.

One of the smallest, cheapest options for a Raspberry Pi that I've come across! On a desktop, it works as a temporary solution until you can upgrade to a proper wireless dongle (incredibly technical term, trust me)
