Upgraded from the BT400 adapter. The range and connectivity is much better with this, the BT500.. It was an easy experience setting up this dongle to add BT to my unit. No drivers needed for us (Windows 10) it was a simple plug n play set up. Have not experienced any issues while using this device. Happy with the overall experience. One of the selling points was it was a name brand who has reputation for quality products. If you are thinking about going from a 4.0 adapter to a 5.0 you should..

A compact Bluetooth adapter with plug-and-play functionality. I popped it into a USB 3.0 port on my motherboard's rear I/O and it worked like a charm. Had no trouble setting up my Sony earbuds or Bose speakers.
However, know that any and all Bluetooth devices will feature some sort of delay/latency - this is inherent with Bluetooth (even with technology such as APTX Low Latency) and will never be faster than a dedicated connection such as the ones you might find on a wireless gaming headset. In a game such as CS:GO or League of Legends, I was immediately able to notice a delay between a fired shot or cast spell and its associated audio.
If you aren't gaming, these work great. But if you need to use your earbuds or headphones to play any sort of competitive game... this is not the solution.

This was an excellent bit of kit. It was inexpensive, installed itself quickly and performs solidly.
I remember walking outside while my headphones were connected to my PC inside. I almost forgot because the range was so good. It didn't take too long for the devices to disconnect, but I can go anywhere in my home with the headphones and get strong connection.

I had bought a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for my work computer but they didn’t come with the little dongle to connect to them. I guess they were meant for computers with Bluetooth already integrated. I didn’t realize that and thought that I wouldn’t be able to use my new keyboard and mouse. Thankfully this product fixed that and it was literally plug and play. Took all of maybe 30 seconds to set up my devices. Highly recommend. No lag time when using devices.

Product works pretty well, but the only issue I have is a mild latency that makes caming with controllers a bit difficult. If you can wire in for gameplay do it but for a casual game night works amazing!

My blutooth headphones had a range of about 10ft from my pc (partly due to where it's located) and now I can be anywhere in my apartment with my headphones (Sony XM4) with perfect connection. Although the webpage I needed for instructions/drivers was down the day I bought this, and the instructions in the box weren't enough so I thought I messed up my pc, I got it figured out in the end.

Didn't work for what I needed

I'm only subtracting one star because it did not work for what I needed. I was advised by many google searches that this is the best USB Bluetooth speaker to use with the PSVR2 on the PC. For some reason neither of the controllers would connect past 49%. Peculiar. Oh and I've worked with and on PCs for over forty years and I could not get the driver to install. At all. When you run the installer, it prompts you to disable any integrated Bluetooth and once you've done that when you try to install the driver, it prompts you to plug in the device but then tells you there's a device already connected. Frustrating. I did a manual install of the driver and although it looks like it caught, no features or additions show up with the driver so this didn't work for me. I'm sure for regular Bluetooth needs, this is amazing, but for mine it was a no.

PSVR2 Compatibility confirmed

Bought this for compatibility for the anticipation of PSVR2 on PC, however my PC's Bluetooth was already more than sufficient as it's antenna for Wi-Fi also doubled as an antenna for Bluetooth. I did switch over to this to see if the PSVR2 performed better, and after attaching a USB 3.0 extension to this and placing it below my monitor and in a more open area it did do the job great.
I ultimately decided on sticking with my mainboards onboard module and antenna instead and saved this for another device I had in the house that needed an upgraded module anyway. It's going great for that one for wireless controllers and everything else hooked up for it.

This is a quality low-profile Bluetooth adapter. It has reliably connected with all of my devices, including my Logitech MX Keys, and there haven't been any observable disconnections. I also purchased another for an older laptop and it's barely noticeable, and inobtrusive enough to leave inserted.

Since the previous version of the insignia 3.0 adapter I had purchased no longer functioned with the lastest 22h2 update of Windows 10, I needed to purchase another adapter. This ASUS adpater specified that it will still work with the latest versions of windows, and indeed, it did recognize immediately, and my connected devices were restored. The range of this tiny adpater is standard 15-20ft based on front port USB connections. I am satisified with the performace.

This device is amazing for the price! It has extremely low latency which is useful when I play fps games, because I need extremely precise audio. I have never noticed it glitch or randomly disconnect once. It even works flawlessly when I connect both my headphones *and* controller to my computer! I am impressed with the performance of such a cheap bluetooth adapter.
I will say I was skeptical at first as the drivers failed to install or work multiple times, and my problems were not consistant with anything on the support or faq pages. After a little bit of fiddling around (and alot of computer restarts,) I eventually got it working!
