I'm no more than 4 feet away from it and I'm using Samsung Galaxy buds. It does lose connection, which might be my buds, but for only short times and does way better than cheaper versions I have used.

I’m able to connect my Surface keyboard and mouse, Bose QC2, Raspberry Pi’s, and smart devices.
