Initially purchased this monitor to take to the hospital for my son to play games on. Its just perfect size monitor to play your favorite games...it is lightweight, the picture is very clear and great quality. Fits easily in the carry-on size luggage. Now I use it as a monitor for video cameras. Very happy with the quality of this monitor.

I want to start off by saying I use this for console gaming via Xbox One only and not PC gaming. I decided after only every gaming on TVs not optimized for gaming that is was time to step up and get something to give me an extra edge for some fast paced online multiplayer. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Having Free Sync setup with my One X and the low refresh rate makes an instantly noticeable difference. All those deaths where I swore I shot first or missed but felt I shouldn't have went away. Not being an expert I also used some online guides to get the colors looking just right. Everything is easy to setup. Also if you are looking to take advantage of Free Sync, which you should, make sure it is turned on, on the monitor first, and then on your Xbox second. I also occasionally use this for regular PC stuff to browse the internet and watch YouTube. Having the built in speakers and second HDMI port makes this a breeze. Last but not least I want add all the adjustments for swivel, up and down, and rotating the screen are great and the stand feels very solid. I can't speak for PC gaming but if you are looking for something to game on a console and/or use as a regular monitor I would highly recommend this as it has everything you want and is under $200.

This is a great starter gaming monitor if your going to be mainly playing on console. I say this because the refresh rate only goes up to 75Hz which is great for console, which only goes up to 60Hz. But for those thinking of doing some hardcore pc gaming, there's better monitors. All-in-all, this monitor really does the job for a reasonable price.

As my previous inexpensive 21 inch 5ms VGA/DVI monitor for console gaming was starting to have hiccups, I began researching for a monitor that was in a higher price range that would fulfill my needs for gaming, streaming, and office related. After hours and hours of learning all the information the internet could provide me, i started to realize that I was in the market for a monitor that provided the feeling of a premium gaming monitor without the extensive bells and whistles needed for PC gaming. I couldn't be any happier I was able to pick up this monitor on sale, but is definitely worth the MSRP. The screen adjustments take some playing around with to get the look you want, but that may just have been because my previous monitor was an entry level piece of equipment. The dual hdmi ports, vesa mount capabilities, and 1ms response time make being an adult who loves to game soooooo much easier. One port is dedicated to the console and the other for screen mirroring with my laptop. I've not had a single regret about purchasing it!

I'm a relatively new gamer but I bought this monitor with the intention of doing work using it as an external monitor for my MacBook Pro and for my ps4. Seamless graphic display and it's a plus this can swivel left and right to inset inputs. No problems setting this monitor up and I've been using this for 1+ month already. Love it!. The best part about purchasing this monitor at Best Buy was how they easily price matched this the day after I bought this monitor, really appreciate it.

I bought this monitor to have a large monitor for working from home. It is an excellent monitor and I like the ability to raise and lower the height of the monitor on the stand. My son liked it so much he bought one for himself. Excellent quality and features. Can set a blue-light filter as well to help with eye relief.

Bought this on sale and very satisfied. Dual HDMI let's me sync it with my desktop and laptop. Incredible picture and no eye strain. Great purchase and product!

I really liked the monitor! I love how you can move the monitor up or down or even turn it to it's side! The colors don't seem harsh and you can change the settings to your preferance. I would say this is a good monitor if you are looking into getting a pc and don't have a big budget.

I played on a 55” Sony gaming tv but the response time was still alittle slow for me so I bought this monitor and it’s been the best $200 I’ve ever spent

I use the VG245H Gaming Monitor as an external monitor for my Macbook Pro -- mostly for PHP development and browsing the web -- not for gaming. The text is crisp and clean and the screen size is good for my applications and my aging eyes. I run it using a mini-display port to vga adapter cable. Setup was pretty simple, although I had some confusion starting with the setup menu and function selection keys.Reading the instructions helped! After a few months of daily use, I have no complaints and can definitely rate this monitor five stars! I was glad I compared the color and crispness in the Best Buy store to the other lower/medium end monitors I considered. I am very glad I decided, again, to choose another solid Asus product.

Caught this monitor on sale. It has a lot of high end features for the price. Great refresh rate and excellent for gaming. Beautiful picture too!

This monitor is great. I’m using it in addition to a laptop screen, so it is certainly functional. Not sure about all the graphics / gaming features, but it’s like a mini tv screen. Compared to the laptop, it’s huge. The sound quality while using just the monitor speakers needs improvements especially using it solely for conference calls, Sound projects from the back, so it’s sometimes hard to hear people. I just plugged in headphones, and it’s much better. Definitely a needed item while working from home.

I needed a quick fix for suddenly working at home for a long period and this monitor fit the criteria I needed. It works with my 2013 model Mac (purchased the recommended Belkin cord). I have not experienced any issues, except sound. Some days I have sound, some days I do not. I'm not knocking stars off for this because this could be something easy to fix and I just don't have the time right now. I love the screen quality (crystal clear) and I have not experienced any migraines from looking at this monitor for extended periods of time. Pluses in favor of this monitor: it's a gamer monitor so I know it's a good quality product and two HDMI ports (total unexpected bonus). It was easy to plug in and get started, no driver install necessary on the Mac. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who needed one.

All the mixed reviews on this trouble me. It was literally the only gaming computer in stock that was just under $2000 & we needed it immediately. Our 13 yr old LOVES GAMING on this computer & he's a tough crowd to please, especially when electronics are glitchy. He had one issue (user error) early on with screen going from b& w repeatedly and we called Geek squad (always buy all their insurances, both types) who told us to swap ports or get a new cable. That fixed it, it wasnt a problem with the computer. We've had it for 4 months & plays it for many hours every day. We also dragged it across the country in a car with no problems, dragging it in a box in & out of hotel rooms. So by my experience, it's sturdy, far better than the one we replaced & so far, perfect! He only uses it for gaming & online school, office isn't even installed. I WILL update if any problems.
