Budget Laptop with Room for Improvement

I recently purchased the Asus Vivobook 15 with an 11th Gen Core i3-1135G4 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. I was initially drawn to the laptop because of its sleek design and backlit keyboard with numpad. The price was also very attractive for a laptop with these specs.
After using the laptop for a few weeks, I can say that the Core i3 processor is capable enough to handle my daily workloads such as Google Meet calls and even some light video editing without any significant slowdown or fan noise. However, the battery life of the Vivobook 15 has been a major letdown for me. I find myself constantly having to plug in the laptop to keep it charged throughout the day. The audio quality has also been disappointing and the laptop can be a fingerprint magnet.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase of the Asus Vivobook 15. It is a functional and attractive budget laptop with decent specs and features. However, its short battery life and poor audio quality are definitely areas where there is room for improvement. If you're looking for a budget laptop with a premium build, the Vivobook 15 is definitely worth considering. However, if battery life and audio quality are important to you, you may want to look at other options.

Great laptop for kids, as long as you pick it up on sale.
I got this for my son for school while it was on sale for around $200. At that price point it is great. I would be a bit disappointed at the normal $429 price point though as in that range I really would expect a 1080 screen. Internal specs still solid at that price but the screen is no where near a $400 display for a laptop.

This is a awesome laptop for the price. (I paid 279 on sale) I purchased to have a mobile machine to carry at my job, and offsites. Its lightweight and has decent specs for everyday activities. Don't expect to game on it, but it will serve you well in a office setting. It's very easy to access to perform ram or memory upgrades. Very happy with purchase.

Bought for a backup to my main Lenovo Laptop, works perfect for that in case I need Laptop at home while my main is at work. It's fast for the model, easy to use and a good price. Wish it did have a built in media card reader, but a usb one works too. Actually bought two of the same model for a friend of mine that was running an extremely outdated laptop.

Entry level laptop, but feels awkwardly premium. If you know, you know. The i3 is not shabby, the sound is kinda shabby, and the screen is so-so shabby. But, but, the looks are wannabe macbook, and somehow, Asus pulls it off. I recommend.

This laptop is great! I bought it specifically for school and it has yet to disappoint. The battery life and storage are great! The different features make it easier to navigate between all the different resources I have to use for school work. Great and affordable laptop option for college students!!

computer is a nice inexpensive entry level laptop.
BUT in best buy specs it states it's touchscreen. (NOT)
even after two different online chat agents verified it was. as i told them and even sent a link from ASUS with specs saying it didn't have touchscreen and a response from ASUS on best buys answer to a question about it
i was told not to pay attention to the replies. by BBuy agent
actually i should have not paid attention
to them. i ordered it before finding the correct info but couldn't cancel order by my self and that was with in 1/2 of placing the order.after 2hrs of online chat saying and guarantying me it was touchscreen. just said to ship and i would return to store if not touchscreen.
guess what i was right.

This laptop does everything I needed it for and has even more. Its comfortable to use, not a lot of extraneous things that I'll never use. Its the perfect size, quick to boot up, holds a good charge. I only wish itbhad one more regular USB port.

This is a hidden gem. For a small laptop it has surprising upgrade potential It has a spot for an internal 2.5" drive. It is missing the cable and drive caddy but that is inexpensive to purchase. It also has 8GB of ram on the motherboard and expansion slot to get another 8GB of memory. The SSD is a M.2 2280 form factor so gives you lots of option for upgrading to a larger main drive.
I highly recommend this if you just need a decent office machine or want to work with data management.
I don't recommend it if you need any intensive graphics or video rendering.
