It's Pretty to Behold, but Simply Doesn't Work

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.having an RTX3050 6gb gpu, you'd think this is a decent (not great) gaming laptop... while the OLED screen is beautiful to take in and the resolution is incredibly crisp with amazing HDR colors etc... it grinds to a halt and crashes as if it's overheating while playing any game even on mid settings. Returned. --- I suspect the laptops design is aimed at graphic designers who won't tax the system quite as hard as a serious gamer... it's cooling system is mediocre... as someone who wants to game on the laptop as well as work though, it just doesn't cut it since it crashes 15 minutes into Spider-Man and even No Mans Sky on medium settings.

91 Celsius after 30 minutes

Thermal throttled and then overheated three times while installing programs and reached 91 Celsius after half an hour of Minecraft.

Looks great but crashes when gaming

This was likely a gpu issues and i had to return it.

Buyer Beware on this computer

If not you might end up with one of their unchecked, resealed by then returns. Then if you go to exchange or return it they threaten you with felony charges. Better yet don't buy this laptop from bestbuy, go somewhere else that doesnt treat their customers like the enemy.

Did not meet expectations

Went through GeekSquad online to no avail. Spent an hour with GeekSquad in the store - neither could determine the issue. Fortunately had Total Tech, which allowed me to return the laptop and exchange for a different laptop. Needed to have them clean the hard drive since I already had sensitive information on the hard drive.

Most outstanding business laptop in 2023

I’ve had several high-end laptops from Macbook Pro to HP Spectre; for the specs, this is definitely the most bang for your buck. Pros: Speed, performance, and Intel Core i9 is a beast. Combined with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, everything is fast and furious. The OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate is beautiful. The aluminum casing and the keypad give it a premium feel. Even the charger has a premium feel to it, too. For audio, this is by far the best sound I’ve heard coming out of any laptop. Harmon Kardon's audio did not disappoint. The fingerprint button built into the power button is a convenient and smart design. Cons: Battery life is average. Light use of internet browsing with minimal screen brightness gave me about 4 hours of runtime. I cannot think of any more cons for this laptop. Disclaimer: I am not a gamer. I cannot comment on the performance of video games. But for business and personal use, this is an excellent laptop.

Don't trust Price Match

However, I'm unable to get the price match (which would have saved me $100) but I accepted 'free' trial subscription software in wasn't interested in and was told I could cancel any time. I've spent more money at Best Buy than I'd like to admit. After being on the phone for one and a half hours, I was disconnected and now they're closed. Planning on buying the exact same laptop and returning the one I have currently to save money (not time).

Allow me to help you avoid headaches

It is only good for work and small tasks (DO NOT TRY TO PLAY GAMES). It was so bad that I even exchanged my first computer out for a different one and yet still had the same problems. After about 2 days of enjoying this computer and playing games it will hibernate mid game, have low frame rate, and freeze at times. Then there is the tech support, it is horrible and offers almost no help. Avoid asus and avoid your laptop problems.

Disappointing quality control and build quality

I ended up returning it entirely after the second one had a screen that was not square when it was closed (there was a noticeable tilt to one side on both edges of the laptop when it should have been flush). I decided it was not worth the near $1000 price for that build quality. I still like Asus and the specs, but these units disappoint me.

Only lasted two weeks

After he used this laptop for a couple of weeks it went black and died. The original gift was another laptop from Best Buy and that too died. So, this is the second one which I tried to return and Best Buy will not take it back!
