Customers often highlight the Vivobook's strong performance, especially for mid-level gaming, and its excellent screen quality. Many appreciate its lightweight design and ease of use. However, some users point to the battery life and tendency to generate heat as potential drawbacks. A few also mention that the laptop's surface attracts fingerprints.

Although the video card is thin. As thin and comfortable to carry as normal laptops with high performance as a gaming computer. OLED the screen. Finally, it has a keyboard with a numlock. I recommend.

From daily tasks to gaming, an amazing laptop!

After spending some time with this ASUS 15.6” OLED laptop, I can confidently say that this is a fantastic PC that can handle just about anything you throw at it.
The packaging is quite minimalistic, and in the box, you'll find the laptop, a 150-watt charger, and various documents related to usage and warranty information. The build quality gave me a great first impression, as this PC seems sturdy, well-built, and relatively sleek for a 15-inch laptop. While the top side is aluminum, the bottom (and everything else) appears to be plastic, although it still feels pretty high quality. The only downside is that most of the materials are extreme fingerprint magnets! Not really a deal breaker, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Upon opening up the laptop, you are greeted with a full LED backlit keyboard that included a 10-key on the right side as well as a slightly offset trackpad. The keys feel responsive and have a great amount of travel; as far as laptop keyboards go, this is one of my favorites. The power key doubles as a fingerprint reader, and it seems to work very well. Even though there is a 10-key, nothing feels cramped, and I didn’t get the impression that the keyboard had been shrunk to fit the computer. The trackpad feels nice with a satisfying “click,” yet it again is very much a fingerprint magnet as well.
As nice as everything is so far, the real star of the show is the OLED display. ASUS claims that this model does not have the highest resolution or refresh rate, and yet it still looks absolutely phenomenal. The colors are vivid, details are crisp, and everything moves in a flawless smooth fashion that just looks incredible. Daily tasks and internet browsing look good, but I watched some ultra-HD content, and I would have never guessed this display was only 1080p with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, gaming content looked awesome as well; the dystopian world of Cyberpunk 2077 is rendered beautifully on this PC and its amazing screen.
Performance wise, I couldn’t really find anything that caused this laptop to stumble. This model has an Intel Core i7 processor, 16 gigs of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 6 gigs of VRAM, and a 512-gig solid-state drive. Simply put, this PC has enough power to run all of my daily programs (Microsoft Office suite) and entertainment activities (streaming music and videos, playing video games), though I didn’t try out any serious video editing or music creation programs. Based on what I’ve seen, I have no doubt that this laptop could handle any such program with ease. Additionally, it ran the games I tried on it with absolutely no problems (Cyberpunk 2077 & Fallout 4), so it’s nice to know that even though this model isn’t being marketed as a gaming laptop, it can still be used as one.
Like most PCs on the market, this one runs on Windows 11, and it's pretty simple to get it up and running right out of the box. There are several ports as well, although I do wish the charging cable used a USB-C connection rather than its proprietary connector. Thankfully, there are plenty of options for when it comes time to connect things, including an HDMI port and a Thunderbolt 4 port. While I mostly used the 3.5 mm headphone jack to listen to music, I should note that this laptop has speakers made with Harman Kardon, and they do sound fantastic. While the battery life isn’t the greatest at a quoted 10 hours, I found that it was adequate to get me through most of the day before I had to think about plugging it in. (I typically leave the keyboard backlight on, with the screen almost maxed out in brightness).
Final thoughts: This is truly a PC that excels in nearly every aspect I can think of. It can easily be taken out around town or to school/work, and then come home and be used to relax and watch movies or play games. Combine the performance with one of the best screens I have ever seen in a laptop, and it’s clear that ASUS has a real winner on their hands. I would definitely recommend checking out this model if you are looking for a laptop that can do it all, easily.

I had this laptop for less than a year and it stopped turning on, but the worst thing of all was trying to claim the manufacturer's warranty. First I went to the store where a worker told me that since I didn't have a store warranty I had to talk to the manufacturer. I spoke with the manufacturer who said that since I had bought it at Best Buy that they would help me with the warranty there, so I decided to write to Best Buy support, who confirmed it and gave me a case number with which I should go to the store, No one in the store knew anything about how to do this, and after checking my laptop, an employee told me that I could exchange it without a problem, I asked him if I had to pay something and he said no, then when they were registering the product another employee arrived I guess he was the person in charge of the area where I was and he told me that if I didn't pay the store guarantee I couldn't change the product, I told him no, but this man decided to speak to me in a rude tone and raise his voice and force me to pay, In the end I decided to pay for that subscription and left because I felt very uncomfortable, the truth is I had never been treated like that in a place. I have had a terrible experience, with how easy it is to treat a customer well, every time I buy. I have gone to the same store, both me and my husband, and I have never felt so bad in terms of service.

Appalling battery life on an otherwise perfect PC

I should note: I am an absolute ASUS fan. My past three laptops have all been ASUS. I've tried to shop around for other brands, but I inevitably find my way back home to ASUS.
This laptop PC is perfect in every way. Beautiful OLED screen. Blazing fast processing speeds and seamless multitasking (practically chuckling at my 30 open browser tabs) while sporting a graphics card that can run all my favorite PC games on High settings. And visually... Oooff. Beautiful sleek design, sturdy build and a slim form factor, and lightweight materials with a premium feel. Even the typing experience on the keys is an absolute delight - just to add a little extra cherry on top.
This is a beautifully spec'd, beautifully built device, with a beautifully screen, beautiful harmon/kardon audio, and beautiful internal muscle. It has everything I could have wanted in my new ASUS laptop.
...EXCEPT for the battery.
Oh, the battery...
Marketed as having "10 hrs" of battery life—and confirmed by many (somewhat suspect?) reviews—I didn't give the battery life a second thought. Until I ran the thing and saw it dwindling precipitously. More experimentation and the truth of this game-capable PC seems to have settled: there's less than 2 hours of battery life at full settings. This thing has absolutely terrible battery life. Truly horrendous. I've switched to Battery-Optimized power settings, and been forced to turn my beautiful OLED screen down to 50% brightness - to add (maybe) another hour.
As an example: I am currently doing nothing but writing this review, with a single browser tab open, no background programs, and power set to Battery-Efficiency with 50% screen brightness. I am at 80% battery life with 2 hours left.
I am currently at a loss. What's the use of all those visual, audio, processing and gaming specs, if I can't finish a gaming session without plugging in? What do I do with a gorgeous powerhouse of a laptop, if it can only really BE a "laptop" for 1.5-2 hours? There's low battery life, and then there's low battery life... And <2 hours is hard to justify.
I don't often leave reviews, but I felt I had to leave an honest one for this. As an ASUS fan who loves their products, and was excited beyond words for this laptop... This is a tough blow. I want to find every reason to love this device... But I have a feeling I just bought myself a /slightly/ more mobile desktop.
Time will tell what I do with it. But in the meantime, I'm hoping this review helps provide some clarity—and caution—for future buyers.

This was a no-brainer for me, I’ve been a fan of Asus ever since I got my first laptop from them, the Q406 Zenbook about 4 years ago. The laptop just worked, and it handled everything I threw at it and never once gave me any issues so here I am ready to get an upgrade and take another spin on a Asus laptop. The laptop came in a simple but sufficient box that housed the laptop(Q530V from now on), the 150- Watt charger, and the usual paperwork including a detailed brochure of the antibacterial guard finish that covers certain high-traffic portions of the laptop.
The Q530V is solidly built and has an excellent finish (despite the topside being a crazy fingerprint magnet). It’s also sleek in design but feels a little heavier than expected but that is understandable given what it’s packing, the Intel i-7 CPU 13th Gen, NVIDIA RTX3050 with 16GB DDRS RAM and a 512GB SSD, an array of useful ports such as HDMI, LAN, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type C, oh yeah and a SD card reader ( haven’t seen one ofn those on a laptop in a minute), etc. It also has an impressive 15.6 inch OLED screen that gives great media viewing experiences.
After charging the laptop for a few hours as suggested by Asus, I eagerly lifted the lid to power on the Q530V and begin the setup process. Pressing the power button( found on the top right corner of the keyboard) instantly brought on the laptop and you are presented with the setup for the Windows 11 Home Edition OS that it comes with. Setup was smooth and straightforward and I encountered no hiccups. I was pleasantly surprised to find out during the setup that the power button doubled as a fingerprint reader, which has worked very well so far. The keyboard feels nice to use and the touchpad is very responsive and gives a good click whenever it is depressed, I also liked that they included a number pad with the keyboard. The Antibacterial guard seems to be integrated into this portion of the laptop and it utilizes silver ions to inhibit 99% of bacteria and provides up to 3 years of protection according to the included brochure.
When it comes to performance, I was not let down at all. It offers an incredible user experience no matter what I threw at it. It could easily run multiple applications simultaneously, whether it be apps from Microsoft Office/365, Adobe or even running Chrome with a gazillion tabs(I always test this) it handled it pretty well while being able to switch between them effortlessly. When it came to gaming(which I don’t think it was aimed at), it didn’t disappoint either and this is coming from someone who has owned a high-end Alienware not too long ago. I tried NFS Heat, Cyberpunk as well as Stray and it performed well. Moreover, the OLED screen delivered incredible visuals with sharp clear images and vibrant colors, not only when playing the games but whenever I was viewing media in general. This is coupled greatly with the sound the Q530V puts out. Usually, laptop speakers are a hit or miss for me, it's hard to get great speakers within a laptop given the space they are working with. Keeping that in mind I was pleasantly surprised, the sound was loud and enveloping and very fitting for whatever I was viewing.
Finally the battery and camera. Normally I don’t really look into battery life, given that in most cases I usually keep my laptops plugged in, however, I was able to consistently get between 8 to 10 hrs of on time while doing casual tasks/browsing/media viewing with 50% brightness and volume. The camera is very run-of-the-mill and nothing really to talk about in detail, it just works.
Asus has clearly invested considerable thought into the design of this laptop. From its premium build quality to its array of fantastic features, it is undoubtedly at the top of the list for anyone in the market for a very versatile laptop at a reasonable price. Well done, Asus!

Someone, please, just give me a refund. Not a promise for a call back that won’t happen. This shouldn’t be a month long nightmare

This laptop is 100% worth it for the price and I would absolutely buy it again. I know when I go through reviews before buying something I want to see what people think on a daily basis, so I will put a pros and cons list down below.
Pros:
•Screen is stunning
•The keyboard is responsive and I love the numeric pad
•Very fast and smooth (Not techy, I’m sure there’s a better way to word that)
•Audio is great and it can go quite loud for a laptop
•Can be used for gaming, not a gaming laptop, but still works quite well
•Price for a laptop of this quality is extremely good!!!
Cons
•Can get overly hot
•Fingerprint scanner is very particular, if you don’t have your finger in the absolute correct spot it will not work
•Battery life isn’t phenomenal, it says up to 10 hours, but I don’t know what settings that’s on. Usually lasts 4-5 hours at most with stock picture settings
•Doesn’t have Google/Google Chrome as an app option, even when you change Chrome to your primary browser, it will open with the initial tab, but not when you open additional tabs.

Big Performance in a Compact Package

The ASUS 15.6" OLED 7i laptop is a super performer. Asus hit all the important check boxes on this machine. It is lightweight yet sturdy. The battery is massive for its small size and Oh Boy! - that OLED 1080p is bright & sharp. All the necessary ports are present for such a well-priced machine and the 13th Gen Intel platform is up-to-the-task for such a reasonable price.
I did find that that the placement of the power button/fingerprint reader was a tad bit odd and too slender of a button for my liking. It takes some time to get use to but works flawlessly - so I consider it a YMMV type thing and highly subjective. I only wish Asus would have positioned that button up & out of the way from the rest of the keyboard - similar in concept to many of the ROG gaming rigs.
Nonetheless, typing on the ASUS 15.6" OLED i7 laptop was confidence inspiring for such a thin and lightweight machine. The tactile feedback is good, the key spacing is to my liking and the touchpad is smooth and precise.
The power brick for this thing is relatively tiny and shouldn't pose much of a problem for owners on-the-go. The USB-C termination makes sense and is a welcomed addition.
Two key pieces of included software are the ProArt Creator Hub and MyAsus app Think of the Creator Hub as the alter ego of the ROG Armoury Crate software, where you can monitor & adjust the performance level as well as configure the color profile of the display depending on the "work flow". Even more satisfying was just how well the MyAsus app gives full customization & support for the entire machine. I've not seen this app perform so comprehensively on any of the other Asus gaming machines - and that is great thing to see on a machine of this caliber. There are four main categories of customization settings, all packed with essential controls - covering EVERYTHING you'd expect. "Power & Performance", "Audio & Visual", "Connectivity" and lastly... "Input Device Settings". Again, I've not seen Asus organize a piece of their software in such a solid way ever before. The MyAsus app is truly the concentric control panel for this laptop at the 'machine level' and the ProArt Creator Hub is there for more "work flow" related quick hits. 'The Hub' has four categories of concern; the "Dashboard", "Color Control", "Work Smart" and "Performance Optimization". I can see this as being the more creator-centric portal once the MyAsus app has been configured for general, day-to-day use.
This isn't a gaming laptop even though some light duty gaming can be played on it. Consider the RTX 3050 as a supplemental GPU Computer/rendering unit - which it is more than cable of providing service to. I ran the machine through a few individual laps around the Multi-core Cinebench R23.2 benchmark in High Performance mode and demonstrated near-12000 scores each & every time. That's an admirable score for an Intel Ultrabook and should more than satisfy the budget conscious and/or mid-range content creator.
In summary, this is a solid performer at its price-point and highly recommended for anyone on a careful budget and/or wanting solid performance in an "on-the-go" package. Kudos again to Asus for getting the software right on this platform!
Pros:
Solid build quality
Snappy performance - even in the Standard (balanced) mode
Outstanding OLED brightness, depth & clarity
For its size - 1080p is just fine
Great full-featured, backlit keyboard and awesome touchpad
Full complement of all the right ports
Massive battery that easily provided well over 10 hours of more utilitarian type tasks
Two software tools that are loaded with controls; ProArt Creator Hub & MyAsus
Full complement of Windows Hello login capabilities
Cons:
None
Nitpicks:
Could benefit from a better positioned power button/fingerprint reader on the next version.
Realtek audio driver conflict between the Asus support app and what Windows Update detects/pushes. Easily solved if you know what you're doing, but not wholly unique to just Asus - but a pain in the you-know-what nonetheless. Asus just needs to control the Microsoft update "push" manifests better or ditch Realtek all together in the future. Audio driver issues are SO pre-2020's.
The name is boring. It should have earned the ProArt moniker... at the very least.
