Bummer that the num pad is a non- standard configuration. I did not catch that in the photos, only that there is a num pad, which I use a lot. As others have said, the surface shows fingerprints and smudges like crazy, not sure what that is about. But it functions fine otherwise. The would you recommend is hard to answer since it really depends on what someone needs AND if it matters to you that your laptop constantly looks like you ate fried food and then wiped your hands on your laptop :-p

Basic laptop that gets the job done. There is no SD card slot, wifi connection drops when in the middle of doing something (Our other devices at home aren't doing this) all I do is refresh the page which is frustrating but it fixes the problem. I purchased this to replaced my old ASUS computer, this is faster compared to my old one but needs a little patience.

Great laptop- meets all my needs. This laptop is fast and so far has great battery life and was easy to set up.

The computer works pretty much as expected. I have it connected via HDMI to a tv to occasionally stream movies on a larger screen but if the tv is on using antenna input the computer produces no sound. I must physically unplug the HDMI cable to get sound from the computer speakers. Computer speaker volume is low and the sound quality sounds tinny. Originally I started using a microsoft 5000 wireless mouse but found I had to unplug and replug the dongle everytime the computer was started. Since replacing it with a logitech mouse that's been solved. Battery life shows to be just under 5 hours and limits charging to 59%. In real use only using a browser on the internet it seems to drop faster than that as it's only a 3 cell battery. The backlight keyboard is nice but I found it's not always active. That may be another setting I haven't found yet. The computer came with next to nothing in the way of any paper documentation. A warranty booklet and a user guide booklet that shows the ports on 4 different models. The WIFI connection to the internet is good but there is no plug for a wired connection. This computer came with I think 4 free trials of different software and the offer of Office 365, none of which I want or use. I am no fan of Windows 11 but as support is ending for Win 10 I needed to update. I do miss not having a DVD RW and the card slot of my older computer so now I have two additional devices on the desk wired to it. I'm still slowly transferring files and programs from my older computer and getting this one set up for my needs.

Fast and no problems. My husband loves it. It has more then enough memory and the processor is very fast.

Well, this laptop is good for what I bought it for. It has a nice keyboard, large trackpad, enough ports for things to satisfy most people, and a very big screen, which is extremely nice to have. Its build quality is not the best or the worst. Its good enough. I see people complaining about the speakers, but I didnt buy this laptop for its speakers. Overall, its good for school, work and home. If you want something more robust, go with something else, but this will get the job done to a good degree.

I don't like Microsoft Edge. I prefer to use Google. It is difficult to disable it. Other than that I like it. It's faster than my hP laptop from 2017 Windows 10. I like the thumbprint feature to sign in.

First time in my life to try Asus. Faster and practical than other companies. It doesn't get hot for no reason like HP. Highly recommend

Very good Ryzen 7, which is faster than I thought. Just make sure you get enough ram. This has 16gb which I feel is enough, but stay away from 8gb. Otherwise, I don't think you can go wrong with an Asus laptop. I prefer Asus to other brands.
