First of all, I wanted to say I was excited to write this review when I received the laptop, but things changed. This was one of the black friday sale laptops that I managed to snag under $400. Good deal based on the specs. But I can see why it was this price. Build Quality: I mean, for under $400, you get what you pay for. The plastic creeks and pops. The frame is very flexible. Pros: Great display, can't fault Asus on this one. Very crisp colors and the resolution is great. Has a large trackpad, full size keyboard. Cons: The machine is not as fast as you might thing with a core i5 in it. The 512GB drive that it comes with is actually an NVMe, but a terribly slow one. The trackpad is very loose when you are tapping on it. It sounds like you are double tapping on the trackpad but you are really just lightly tapping on it. NOT UPGRADABLE!!!! What I mean by not upgradable. When you open and expose the internals, you will find there is a RAM stick installed, but its 8GB. For the life of me, I couldn't find the other 8GB stick since the machine has 16GB of RAM. The motherboard is also a bit of a hodge podge. Nothing really seems to be put in the right place. The NVMe drive was mounted at an angle, the 1 stick of RAM was on the far left and the battery is tiny compared to the space Asus gave it. One big thing with this machine. No matter what drive I used, for some reason, if you want to do a clean install of the OS, it cannot be found. I tried 3 different working drives, Mixture of SSD's, 3rd Gen NVMe and 4th gen NVMe. none of the drives would be detected. Even the original drive, if you tried to do a clean install, the drive is not visible. Asus must have the system so locked down that you cannot do any clean windows install. Only their "Cloud" download, which installed bloatware on the machine.

Good memory and easy to use. Use for college. Compact and not heavy easy to carry around.

Great Laptop overall, battery life good at first But I purchased it in September 2024 and now it’s kinda giving me problems. The battery doesn’t last long as it use to the first few months and it’s not charging anymore more it’s say it’s plugged in but it charges up to 7% than it stops charging; and it dies.

It's user friendly and meets all my needs. It's also visually appealing.

I bought this laptop for my husband to upgrade his old toshiba laptop. The graphics and speed on this laptop were a substantial improvement. My husband loves playing video games and the display was much better for his games. He also uses it to design woodworking projects and has been pleased with the results while using the cad software on this laptop.

I got this for my mother who is just going to use it for streaming and watching videos essentially, and for that it's perfectly fine, my only gripe is that the trackpad feels cheap, but it's whatever.

This is the finest laptop I have ever possessed. It operates with remarkable speed and features a stunning display.

Overall is a decent keyboard but the whole reason we bought this one in particular was because of the backlight keyboard and fingerprint scanner. It was a gift from my girlfriend for nursing school and come to find out this one actually doesn't have either feature even though it said it when I bought it. So countless hours running around in returns all the still not have what we wanted and originally paid for.

Pleased so far with my purchase ! Display is excellent. Pick up at Best Buy was quick and efficient! This is a perfect replacement for my old desktop and plan to get a 24" monitor to add and possibly wireless speakers.

This is a great laptop. Recommended by my son! I would recommend an Asus laptop to everyone.

I got this computer for my wife for her schooling. It is the perfect computer for everyday use. She finds it to be the perfect screen size. The keyboard is responsive so typing on it is very nice. All around great computer!

Amazing computer. Had it for almost a year and works well!

It's light and easy to bring with me to my classes. However, sometimes videos lag, and there's an issue with the screen occasionally going black for several hours.

The computer came in a secure box, correctly fitted and padded to make sure the computer was well protected and secure. Upon opening the computer had a protective cushion between the screen and keyboard. Instructions were well thought out and easy to follow. Upon turning on the machine, it was easy to start and follow loading instructions. One neutral or negative was I purchased the Microsoft 360 for the year and the bundle, yet pop ups about a free 30 day trial continued to propagate the process. It could easily confuse someone if they aren’t paying attention, thus getting billed for two .

Have only just set it up and used it a little bit, but the display looks really good and I like the large screen size.

For being a budget laptop I got it 2 weeks ago and I am very happy uo to now.

Solid laptop for personal use and works well for personal work
