GOOD ASUS GAMING LAPTOP WITH LAPTOP RATINGS
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Very good laptop and very light at 5.07 lbs. which is slim and light for a 17.3" laptop. I had a Lenovo Gaming Laptop 3 years ago and it weighed 10 lbs., but had all the bells and whistles. ASUS and DELL laptops are rated 1 and 2 overall. See ratings below. I also own a DELL which I bought from Best Buy a little over a year ago-great Gaming Laptop. I would have liked to have backlit keys on the ASUS. Does not cost much to have that. And the price I paid for the ASUS was great. Some reviews on Laptops: https://www.laptopmag.com/features/laptop-brand-ratings The next time I buy a Gaming Laptop I will be looking for 1TB SSD and 16GB on the Memory. Must be 17.3"

Laptop Searching

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5this was a life or death situation when my laptop died for I pay all my bills online. The stress that goes with that is unreal. Try to contact everyone so you can pay the bills!!! My experience was a good one in buying my new laptop although every laptop I liked was out of stock! finally settled on one that had less than I wanted and more than I wanted to spend. Needless to say so far this has worked out well. Thank you

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Price, Screen size, SpeedCons mentioned:Difficult to see, KeysI would have given this a five star rating, but the letters on the keys are very hard to see. And this does not bother me, because, I use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I like the large screen and the speed of the Ryzen 7. I also liked, that it's not full of bloatware. So far it has done everything asked of it.

Asus Vivobook
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I needed to replace my laptop. Available stock was limited. A sales associate showed me the Asus. I checked with the Geek Squad, who agreed it was a good product and an upgrade from my last laptop. I've seen reviews complaining the keys are hard to see. I have no problem and like the touch of the keyboard. The only thing I don't like is that the Home, PgUp, PgDn, and End keys are in the number pad and have to be unlocked every time you want to use them.

Great Computer, except for the keyboard!
|Posted .Features
Quality4 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Loved the size of the screen and the speed of it as well. But I hate the keyboard! Since it is not backlit I could barely see the characters on the keyboard, especially the number row and the corresponding characters. I will be returning the computer, it is the shame because it seems like a great computer.

The Laptop of Choice
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5My son chose this model computer for he is an advent gamer. Upon reading reviews and knowing personally others that own this brand of laptop, he loves it and so far so good, the graphics of games played are impressive. As far as the keyboard, he found no issues due to the silver color making recognizing the strokes as a problem. He added another keyboard and said if he was ever in the market for another laptop, he would choose ASUS again.

Good for Students
|Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed.Features
Quality3 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5This laptop equips with good CPU, DRAM, and Hard Drive. However, keyboard letters are not easy to see. They should use different colors. Screen resolution and quality are also a weakness. Therefore, this is good for students, but not for professionals.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Great value buy. O ky downsize was no TB (Thunderbolt port for 40 mbs) other than that, excellent PC for the price. Doesn't have touch screen or back light keyboard or 4k screen but for what I got it for and the price. A good fit.

ASUS makes a good competitor
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5This is a nice, middle of the road, laptop. I was actually looking for something more basic, but there just wasn't the availability. For what you get, I think this is a good value. Even though, time will tell on reliability, I'm pretty confident this will last as well or better than the HP it is replacing. Much lighter than a similar sized Dell my spouse uses, although this one doesn't include a DVD drive.

ASUS Vivobook Laptop

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Computer performs really good. I would have given it 4 stars but the keyboard on this model is not backlit and the keys are manufactured for a backlight so they are very hard to see when any shadows are cast over the keyboard. Really wish they would have used keys with black letters rather than clear.

Works well
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendIt's fine for what I need. Set up was very easy. I love the large screen. My major complaint is the silver lettering on the silver keys. Might have been better if the keyboard was back lit.

Frustrating
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Its good. Large screen but you can't move the cursor very well at all. It stops and sticks a lot. I ended up getting a keyboard because you can't move the cursor fluidly and its very frustrating. Should have got a desktop because having to get a keyboard defeats the purpose of a laptop.

great computer

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I got this laptop for my business, I got it as a "returned item". was nervous about it, my question to the Sales man was "what was the reason for return?" "they couldn't read the keys...." so ya the key color and the keys are the same, but if you know how to type oooooor have a wireless keyboard and mouse it's not a bug issue. performance wise, this laptop is great, fast out of the box, had it a couple weeks now, and its doin great. the screen is a great size, and has an awesome image.

Meh
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality3 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5Pros mentioned:PriceCons mentioned:Ease of use, Keys, SilverThe person who designed this keyboard needs to be fired. Who in the heck thought of silver letters on silver keys is a complete idiot. I had to buy a USB light so I can see what I'm typing since it's a new keyboard. The bios is about as useless as they come. You can change very little you can't really enable or disable anything and adding a new boot device is much more complicated than necessary. I really don't understand why there are USB 2,0 ports connected to a USB 3.1 bus. WHy are there 2,0 connects at all? There;s another you'll have to buy is a powered USB 3,0 hub, I needed to use my USB to Ethernet adapter which was running hot from direct connection, I used this device for about a week before I decided to keep it since my old HP was starting to fail. The one good thing is the surprisingly good performance of the Kingston SSD. It's not a bad computer for the price but there's these inexplicable design and hardware features that don't make any sense. If you're not a hardware person you'll do fine. If you are you'll be scratching your head. To those who think you can't upgrade the RAM you're wrong. You can. Look it up. There's also space for another drive but no way to connect it....It will cost you more but it about adequate for the average user,

Overall good computer
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Overall very happy with the computer. Very good value. The only issue I have is the color of the letters and such on the keys. The tend to 'disappear' based on the lighting in the environment. this can be remedied by changing the lighting or the angle that you use the computer, but can be annoying.

GREAT BUY OF 2021
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I love the functionality of this computer! I needed one for school and photography / videography purposes. It is just what I need to get everything done, I multitask so I can utilize time wisely. I have not had one issue since purchased, the mouse pad is basic so i bought a wireless mouse to go with my ASUS. I have recommended this version and brand to my friends and family.

Quality3 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pretty good laptop, lots power, the biggest con I can find so far is ASUS support is not as good as it used to and they are naming every single thing Vivobook so it is hard find stuff like upgrading info and who doesn’t put a backlit keyboard on a laptop these days
