Happily, this laptop is currently being sold with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD, rather than the specs in its BB title.
Fast, and with a great display size, the only downside, and possible deal breaker, is the keyboard which looks like a failed mashup of a ROG keyboard and a standard laptop keyboard. The numpad is present on the right side, a plus for use with spreadsheets, but it is oddly condensed and is thus quite awkward looking and similarly awkward to use. On such a large chassis, this is surprising, especially as this is not a gaming laptop and there is more than enough room for a full-size numpad. Truthfully, the keyboard on the 17" Vivobook was better suited to my needs but the display size on the 18" beats the 17" for my WFH setup. Also, there were issues with the open box 17" machine I tested, so I returned it and bought this one, it thinking keyboards would be the same.
The touchpad feels silky smooth, which is a very nice upgrade from the painted plastic touchpad I'm used to.
Battery life is unknown, haven't used it long enough to test it.
Probably an 8 of 10, so far, and that's due to the awkward keyboard structure.
Note to Asus: Maybe fix the keyboard? It's not like this machine has a thunderbolt port to be used with an eGPU, so the quasi gaming setup, with emphasis on the arrow buttons rather than the numpad, may be less than useful. But, what do I know? I'm just the consumer.
