OLED at its best

Laptops have evolved so much over the past several year, increasingly pushing the limits from a technology standpoint. This laptop follows that testament. This set up's performance and satisfaction boils down into a couple categories from my perspective; graphics/processing and design.
The graphics on this laptop exude those of a top tier laptop or graphics card. OLED is a now becoming mainstream and is setting the bar higher and higher. The vivid bright white colors pop while being surrounded by true black-out OLED tech. The NVIDIA RTX 3050 does a better than expected job from a display standpoint. On the processing side of the house this laptop comes stock with 16 GB of ram and an Intel Ultra 7 3.8 GHz processor. When these 3 pieces of the puzzle come together, the product results in a visual masterpiece for the user's eyes.
The design of this laptop is pretty standard, it is relatively light weight, a large display and even has a 10-key setup. The mouse pad is a bit larger than what I have experienced in the past but does not deter from a satisfactory standpoint. Windows 11 also is up to snuff with and stock on this machine.
All in all, this laptop is a visual masterpiece. Its OLED capability is an enormous upgrade from its prior models and distinguishes itself from its competitors. Pairing these features with a solid exterior design is sure to make this laptop a top pick to many!

I recently upgraded my home office setup with some amazing products from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Here's a quick breakdown of what I purchased and why this bundle has transformed my workspace:
iBuy Power PC:
The iBuy Power PC is an absolute beast. It handles everything I throw at it—from high-end gaming to intensive work tasks like video editing and programming—without breaking a sweat. The sleek RGB lighting and clear side panel add a touch of flair, making it a centerpiece of my desk. Performance is top-notch, with quick boot times and excellent multitasking capabilities.
Samsung Curved Monitor:
This monitor is a game-changer. The curvature creates an immersive viewing experience, whether I’m gaming, watching movies, or working on spreadsheets. The picture quality is stunning, with vibrant colors and sharp resolution. It’s also easy on the eyes during long hours of use, thanks to the built-in blue light filter.
ASUS Vivobook:
The ASUS Vivobook is perfect for on-the-go productivity. It’s lightweight yet powerful, with a fantastic keyboard and a crisp display. The battery life is impressive, lasting me through meetings and travel without needing to recharge. It also syncs seamlessly with my other devices, making file transfers and collaboration a breeze.
Razer Keyboard:
This Razer keyboard is a dream for both typing and gaming. The tactile feedback is satisfying, and the customizable RGB lighting adds a nice touch of personalization. It’s built like a tank, so I know it’ll last for years.
Overall Experience:
Best Buy made the entire process smooth and hassle-free. The staff was knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect products for my needs. Delivery was prompt, and everything arrived in pristine condition.
If you’re looking to upgrade your tech setup, I highly recommend this combination. It strikes a great balance between performance, aesthetics, and reliability!

I made the switch after my MacBook Pro crashed. The 15 inch oled screen on this machine was a big upgrade from my 13 inch Mac. It’s been about six months now using this Vivobook. I was surprised as to how smooth windows 11 was. I heard so many issues but not here. I absolutely love this machine. The only thing I found inconvenient is that the majority of ports are on the right side, which is the same side I use my external mouse. But then again nothing a long enough dongle can’t fix.
All in all this is a great buy. Screen is beautiful, battery life is great, keys are soft and responsive and it has all the ports you will need.

I absolutely love this laptop. I upgraded it to 40GB RAM and it's just amazing. Lightweight, battery life good for having a i7 and 3050, love the addition of a dedicated emoji hotkey which makes typing way easier, full 9-key, just great design. Well made, slim, great screen, great Harmon/Kardon speakers for a laptop, there's not enough praise I can give for this laptop. Would definitely buy more ASUS machines, and already have, bought a little ASUS Vivobook 14 i3 for side machine.

Excellent Laptop for Creative Work and Professional Use
The ASUS Q533MJ combines power, visual quality, and expandability, making it an excellent choice for creatives and professionals. It also stands out as a great option for students in fields like programming, engineering, cybersecurity, networking, and more. However, there are a few design aspects that could be improved.
Key Technical Specifications:
• Display: 15.6-inch OLED Full HD (1920 x 1080) with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and eye-care certification.
• Processor: Latest-generation Intel Core Ultra 7, ideal for demanding tasks such as video editing and intensive multitasking.
• Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 4 GB GDDR6, perfect for creative applications and casual gaming.
• RAM: 8 GB DDR5 onboard (5600 MHz) + one expansion slot supporting up to 32 GB, for a total of 40 GB.
• Storage: 1 TB PCIe SSD, fast and spacious enough for creative projects and large files.
• Connectivity:
• 2 x USB-C
• 2 x USB-A
• 1 x HDMI
• SD card reader
• 3.5 mm audio jack
• Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
• Weight: 2 kg (4.4 lbs), robust yet portable.
Design and Build
The lid is made of metal, giving it a premium and durable look, while the rest of the chassis is made of plastic, which slightly reduces the high-end feel. Additionally, the finish tends to attract fingerprints, which may be bothersome for users who prefer a consistently clean design.
My Experience
The OLED Full HD display (1920 x 1080) is stunning, delivering outstanding color fidelity and contrast, making it ideal for creative tasks and multimedia consumption. While it doesn’t offer 4K resolution, the visual quality remains excellent.
Performance is smooth, thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 7 and RTX 3050, which handle demanding applications and multitasking effortlessly. The ability to expand the RAM up to 40 GB is a major advantage, especially for users who need future-proofing.
This laptop isn’t just great for design; it’s also a fantastic choice for students in programming, engineering, cybersecurity, networking, and related fields. Its power and versatility make it suitable for running development environments, virtual machines, and complex simulations.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
• High-quality OLED Full HD display.
• Powerful processor and GPU for creative tasks and casual gaming.
• Expandable RAM up to 40 GB.
• Ample and fast 1 TB SSD storage.
• Excellent connectivity with two USB-C ports.
Cons:
• Mixed build materials (metal lid, plastic chassis).
• Fingerprints easily show on the finish.
• Slightly heavy for users seeking maximum portability.
• Battery life could be better for intensive tasks.
Conclusion
The ASUS Q533MJ is a solid choice for creatives, professionals, and students in technical fields. It delivers powerful performance, a high-quality display, and excellent expandability options. While its build could use some refinement, its overall performance and versatility make it a worthwhile investment for various use cases.

It excels in both productivity and entertainment tasks. The build quality is solid, with a sleek aluminum chassis and a comfortable backlit keyboard. TLDR - "sleeper gaming laptop disguised as a business machine"
So I want to start this by saying I was in the market for a new laptop, something that could game, while also not being an eye sore when sitting at work in an office, something that would blend in with co-worker's Chromebooks. I work security and many shifts involve working after business hours throughout the night. I wanted something that when home could be my gaming hub but thin and light enough to bring back and forth to work while not sounding like a jet engine and/or burning my fingers as I type. This machine here is a hidden gem in the world of gaming and business machines.
First off the screen is BEAUTIFUL, yes it's only 1920x1080 (FHD) and 60Hz, but with it being OLED the screen image is crisp and smooth, from gaming to working on spreadsheets in Excel. Brightness is perfect, when working/playing I found myself turning the brightness down 1-2 notches.
Size is perfect, 15.6inch screen, thin body when closed but not too thin where you are worried about chassis flex, also weight is right on point.
GAMING PERFORMANCE, if you are anything like myself, the moment you seen 3050, you lost some faith; a last generation, lower series card? Plus most marketing towards this machine is for content creators. LET ME TELL YOU, I am not sure what witch-craft is used on this, but using the Game Ready drivers instead of the included Studio Drivers with Nvidia Geforce, this laptop has handled EVERY game I thrown at it AMAZING; there is no, "keep your expectations in place" with this sleeper laptop, Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster, Hogwarts Legacy, Medieval Dynasty, ALL PLAYED AMAZINGLY, 45-60 FPS, MAX SETTINGS, im talking full ultra settings, full resolution, NO UPSCALING, NO DYNAMIC RES SCALING, absolutely superb graphics. Not only is this thing pumping at good frames with life-like graphics like a champ, temps and noise are UNREALISTICALLY LOW, in a quite room, you can JUST hear the fans pushing air and keyboard NEVER gets too hot, warm yes but never HOT. Coming from personal use of Asus Zephyrus G16 (2024 w/OLED), that thing would get LOUD and HOT, I understand that had a 4070, but at 1080, this 3050 has laughed at everything I thrown at it. Now obviously the simplier, less demandjng games I played on it like Stardew Valley, Dinkum, Sea of Stars, and The Survivalist played like a dream, plus those kind of colorful games really POP with the OLED display.
Originally I was looking at the Alienware M16 R2 as it had the 4070 and their new "Stealth Mode" to reduce screaming "RBG GAMING BEAST", while I am sure gaming would be awesome on it, this little laptop has BLOWN ME AWAY. I found this laptop open box for $719.99 in excellent condition at my local Best Buy, started trying to find reviews, and every single review I found was people who mainly used it work with some gaming on the side, you know, the people who MIGHT max it out with some League of Legends or Minecraft, I am here to tell you, Vivobook Pro 15 OLED can GAME.
Worried about upgrades? No problem. 2 NVMe slots to drop another drive in or replace both with Gen 4 NVMes, Ram? 5600MHz DDR5 replaceable 8GB module, another 8GB soldered onboard, when replacing with either 16GB or 32GB, make sure its non ECC and unbuffered clocked at 5600MHz, Best Buy sells alot of these modules but at 4800MHz, you WILL have issues with stability if you do this, match the internal soldered RAMs clock with another 5600MHz stick. I will say all gaming/testing I have done is with the included 16gb total system ram, no upgrades yet.
Keyboard is excellent to type on, no RGB, just white backlit, for me this is not a problem, sure RGB is cool but i just need backlit keys, plus having a keypad is so useful as well.
Track pad is fine, nothing to write home about but gestures and clicks work as expected, plus most people will use a mouse but the track pad gets the job done perfectly fine.
Speakers are fine as well, nothing fancy, I dont need to use headphones or another external source even when gaming.
Battery Life I cannot really speak on, I use it plugged in all the time but from what I read on other reviews its great.
MyAsus program allows you to tailor performance and other settings, this is where I have fan set to low, while gaming its keeping temps down and no loud noise, you can bump it to performance and max speed, not sure why as the quite mode works magic.
Bottom Line, if you are looking for a device to game on, and I mean actually gaming, but also something small and quite enough for work, this here is it. I cannot recommend this enough, even at full MSRP of $1299, its a fair deal, but frequently goes on sale for $899, and as of writing this post, Black Friday Deal of $799. Do not hesitate, you will not regret it, I dont even know why it was returned for me to buy it open box but I am sure happy they did return it.

Excellent Screen, Battery Life, and Performance.
This PC really offers an exceptional value in a slim package.
The only dislike I have is it does not come with a USB C charger, due to the GPU. It will accept USB C charging but in the forward most USB C port only. I saw a review that mistakenly said it would not charge. There is only one port that accepts it.
If you catch this on sale, its really a no-brainer, you will be impressed.

Excellent high powered laptop with a great value! This is a powerful machine straight out of the box. Well packaged, clean, brand new as described! VERY powerful processor which beats any AMD out of the water. The only thing I imagine that can be more compact and more powerful would be a true gaming laptop from MSI or AlienWare.
The graphics and the video card are outstanding! TRUE vivid FULL HD display. Amazing video quality when watching videos or looking at bright colors.
I enjoy the backlit keyboard & the Face ID features the most! I am truly satisfied with the value I received in this purchase. I purchased this laptop on a Black Friday doorbuster deal and when the price was lower elsewhere, Best Buy Customer Support was even willing to price match it for me, no questions asked. Simply chat, send a link, and they processed the adjustment!
Beware that the laptop comes with a sketchy, misrepresented "free unlock AI features software bundle" which is nothing more than a free trial or subscription based software for content creators, AI developers and the like, but the actual processor is configured for high processing, not the software.

I recently purchased this laptop and couldn’t be happier with my decision. It performs exceptionally well, efficiently handling all my business tasks while consistently delivering outstanding results. Its sleek, modern design makes it a joy to use.
The audio quality is impressive, but the real highlight is the OLED display—it’s stunning! The vibrant colors and clarity are unparalleled, making everything from work presentations to streaming videos a delightful experience.
This laptop combines excellent performance with an eye-catching design and superior display technology. It truly gets the job done, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and visually appealing device!
The only con I have for it is the fingerprint residue. Other than that, it is amazing!

Here's the thing about this asus vivobook laptop, I really wished it went with the normal numerical key layout since that is one of the biggest reasons as to why I was looking into a new Windows based PC to begin with. I really like the specs of this pc but the numerical order, subpar trackpad and the real cost of this laptop is what really got me to lean towards the more affordable option. What I don't like about the Lenovo variant is the track pad is smaller and significantly way over to the left compared to this asus layout and the lower quality 3 cell battery pack it has vs the 4 cell in the asus. This keyboard is definitely a pleasure to type on compared to the Lenovo.
This laptop is the more difficult of the two choices I currently have, on one hand I would love to simply choose this one and forget about all the other options. On the other, the cheaper Lenovo ideapad literally can do all the things I needed a secondary laptop to do. It's a bit frustrating as this laptop is nice enough to keep as a main daily driver but what I am a bit disappointed about is the numerical pad and the battery life specifically. I left it to charge to 100% and unplugged it about 4 hours ago with the screen still shut - no use whatsoever, not even to check the time and yet I opened it up less than 5 minutes ago and it's already at 99%. Seriously. It's been sitting untouched and it's already at 99%. My current M3 pro MacBook literally sat for 4 days at 100% and was still at 100% even after using it for half an hour. Don't get me wrong, it's the same story as the cheaper Lenovo but I expected this Asus to be a bit better at the very least since it's a more premium product with technically a larger 4 cell compared to the smaller 3 cell that's in the Lenovo. It's now at 97% after a few minutes of typing and guaranteed it would be much worse if I wasn’t using the darkmode in system notepad and spent it on bright white google docs instead.
Charged it 2 nights ago to 100% and its now 2/28 1:34am and its at 87% for some reason…Its going back to return, it was fun but I don’t need “all this” plus similar battery life.
As of 3/4/25 it has been returned.

I got this item in open box condition for the amazing price of only $750 before any taxes.
This device for that price, for me personally has to be, one of the best laptops I've seen for this price range.
Not only does it have an Intel Core 7, for amazing battery life but it also has a dedicated GPU or (DGPU) for amazing graphical performance.
The only downside I could say for this laptop is that battery life can vary, you can get a couple of hours, or you can get all day. It very much depends on workload.
Another downside is the 60hz display refresh rate. I would have loved to see a 144hz or even 120hz display on this laptop of this price point, as it already has so much going for it, adding that on top would have made this a 10/10 for me.
However, due to it having somewhat of okay battery life and not having a higher refresh rate I'd say this laptop is anywhere from a 7/10 or 8/10 for this price range.

I've only had this computer a month and light usage so far. Here are my notes:
My context as a user. I don't game so the GPU is a bit overkill. But as noted the screen is 60hz, so not really a gaming laptop.
Pros
- OLED screen is beautiful
- System is fast (Ultra 7 plus GPU) impressive response
- battery life doing YT videos and general stuff - excellent (it shifts between integrated and discrete GPU's to save power). What I am using it for lives on integrated GPU.
- the overall construction is very good and the laptop feels solid. Time will tell though.
Cons
- this laptop weighs a bit, not terrible, but a bit. It'll weigh down your backpack some, especially if you carry the 200 watt charger.
- the charger is bulky (expected)

Great laptop for sure, its quite beefy and also relatively inexpensive, the build quality feels premium as it should, though i feel like having this be 1080p 60 refresh rate is kinda illogical considering its oled and has good specs its kinda under specced for the monitor but thats pretty much my only issue with it so far and i knew about that going in, other then the charger stopped working though I'm not sure why im taking it to geeksquad and will update the review after.

I originally came looking for a laptop compatible with the platforms my university uses online and ended up with one that was perfect for school AND gaming. The amount of bluetooth options I could pair with the laptop and mouse, controller options I can also use really made this experience so much more amazing! Honestly still learning as I go almost a year later and the quality is amazing. Lot of people were curious about it and the brand too, made many people wanna get one or one similar of the same brand. The quality, the digitial add-ons (Windows, etc) and the sale at the time made this an amazing find/steal. 100% do not regret and would buy it again full price I had to in the future.
