Here's the thing about this asus vivobook laptop, I really wished it went with the normal numerical key layout since that is one of the biggest reasons as to why I was looking into a new Windows based PC to begin with. I really like the specs of this pc but the numerical order, subpar trackpad and the real cost of this laptop is what really got me to lean towards the more affordable option. What I don't like about the Lenovo variant is the track pad is smaller and significantly way over to the left compared to this asus layout and the lower quality 3 cell battery pack it has vs the 4 cell in the asus. This keyboard is definitely a pleasure to type on compared to the Lenovo.
This laptop is the more difficult of the two choices I currently have, on one hand I would love to simply choose this one and forget about all the other options. On the other, the cheaper Lenovo ideapad literally can do all the things I needed a secondary laptop to do. It's a bit frustrating as this laptop is nice enough to keep as a main daily driver but what I am a bit disappointed about is the numerical pad and the battery life specifically. I left it to charge to 100% and unplugged it about 4 hours ago with the screen still shut - no use whatsoever, not even to check the time and yet I opened it up less than 5 minutes ago and it's already at 99%. Seriously. It's been sitting untouched and it's already at 99%. My current M3 pro MacBook literally sat for 4 days at 100% and was still at 100% even after using it for half an hour. Don't get me wrong, it's the same story as the cheaper Lenovo but I expected this Asus to be a bit better at the very least since it's a more premium product with technically a larger 4 cell compared to the smaller 3 cell that's in the Lenovo. It's now at 97% after a few minutes of typing and guaranteed it would be much worse if I wasn’t using the darkmode in system notepad and spent it on bright white google docs instead.
Charged it 2 nights ago to 100% and its now 2/28 1:34am and its at 87% for some reason…Its going back to return, it was fun but I don’t need “all this” plus similar battery life.
As of 3/4/25 it has been returned.

This laptop was purchased for my wife. The OLED screen with the black background is easier for her to see what is on the screen. It is lightweight and easy for her to handle. The laptop has more than enough power and seamlessly synced up with our DECO pods for wifi connnectivity.

Great laptop for sure, its quite beefy and also relatively inexpensive, the build quality feels premium as it should, though i feel like having this be 1080p 60 refresh rate is kinda illogical considering its oled and has good specs its kinda under specced for the monitor but thats pretty much my only issue with it so far and i knew about that going in, other then the charger stopped working though I'm not sure why im taking it to geeksquad and will update the review after.

The laptop has excellent color and display thanks to OLED and NVIDIA. Fast to start up, loads programs quickly. Keyboard is smooth, battery is sufficient. Plenty of storage. Getting used to Windows 11.

This little lappy is a solid workhorse for your workststion needs. It has a beautiful OLED display with a low tier GPU, but really unless you are gaming it is going to cover all your needs. The solid state storage makes boot times minimal and the CPU can handle most anything you throw at it.

This laptop is solidly built and offers outstanding specs at a steal of a price. While it doesn’t have a fancy design, it’s perfect for business and everyday tasks—and it still packs enough power for entertainment and gaming. I’m currently using it as my main remote production PC, connected to a large TV as an extended screen with five windows open at all times. It runs smoothly without any issues. I definitely recommend picking up this laptop!

I originally came looking for a laptop compatible with the platforms my university uses online and ended up with one that was perfect for school AND gaming. The amount of bluetooth options I could pair with the laptop and mouse, controller options I can also use really made this experience so much more amazing! Honestly still learning as I go almost a year later and the quality is amazing. Lot of people were curious about it and the brand too, made many people wanna get one or one similar of the same brand. The quality, the digitial add-ons (Windows, etc) and the sale at the time made this an amazing find/steal. 100% do not regret and would buy it again full price I had to in the future.

After trading in my Lenovo laptop, this laptop does get the job done. I love that the keyboard has a numeric pad, since it helps me with my work. Gaming is great, I have no complaints. Being a beginner to the PC gaming, it gets the job done. Battery life gets me a full days of work.

This computer holds a great charge, I haven't got 10 hours out of it but it can easily do 4 or more if you reduce the brightness a bit and aren't running anything too intense. It does make a loud clicking sound at times when the fan is on, which is annoying, but honestly, it's such a nice computer I can overlook it. I like the facial recognition to log onto the computer and to use for saved usernames. I bought this computer on sale and open box for $800, I think it's certainly worth that price.

This laptop is insane. Coming from an Acer predator gaming laptop as my editing machine to this has been a 180 in the right direction. Firstly, the battery charges to full in like less than an hour and last me anywhere between 6-10 hours depending what i’m doing. The OLED display is something god herself would cry at. It makes looking at facebook a vibrant colorful experience. This thing is fast and smooth. It doesn’t lag, buffer, or drop frames when i’m editing my 4k video footage, which is what i do for work.

We got this laptop for my daughter’s engineering class. We got a good deal on the price and it works well for her. The display is very sharp and bright. Battery life is good as well. She usually charges every other day. The charger is hard to carry around with her since it’s quite heavy. The only complaint I have is that I wish it was a touchscreen.

Overall I really enjoy this machine. I've never felt that it is underpowered and the resources I need have been quick and at the ready. I have full confidence in the horsepower of this device to handle video editing and similar tasks.
A few suggestions:
1. The power brick is huge (and weighted). I purchased Insignia™ - 140W Dual Port USB-C Compact Wall Charger Kit for MacBook Pro 16”, Smartphone, and Tablet - White. Much better.
2. I ran into issues where coming out of hibernate states the video would not display on my external USB-C monitor. I updated firmware, including on the graphics cards, disabled the onboard video and then reapplied, this seems to have remedied.
3. I ran into a ton of issues with the AI sound/microphone filtering software from ASUS. Just disable it, otherwise you might be struggling with a 'robotic voice sound' or the loss of your microphone feed completely. Very embarrassing when you're on a call and fall silent on everyone!
