It doesn't have a video card.. The one deciding factor on buying the laptop... The time doesn't sync to correct time, no matter what I do, Asus support says it's perm wrong region fixed. The webcam sliding window doesn't stay closed. Screen resolution was wrong setting for screen till Asus update fixed the issue...

The screen turns off spontaniously, I recorded how it restart out of nowhere and I had to wait up to 7 minutes to start working again, I have a 16GB RAM Dell Computer that its way faster

Weak screen kinda ruins a decent thin laptop

I bought this without finding any reviews online. Here's my take. This laptop is light, thin and has great battery life with web browsing. It doesn't get too warm with day to day tasks, it can sit on your lap without cooking it which is something many gaming laptops can't do. It charges over usb-c and the 150w power brick (not usb-c) is small.
BUT the screen is the weakest point for me, it's just "okay" at best with 250 nits, 1920x1080. Smaller text is kinda blurry, viewing angles aren't great. Colors aren't amazing. Even at 1080p this panel feels cheap. You can tweak it and brightness is good enough indoors, it feels a step above 250 nits. It's usable, not horrible but at this cost I expect better. The blurry text issue bothers me the most.
Also the 4060 doesn't have a mux switch and is capped at 80w. Performance was more inline with a 4050 out of the box. With tweaking you can get it to low-end 4060 levels. If this went on sale, I'd consider it but the screen bothers me enough that I want something else.

My husband had done his research on laptops as he was in the market for a new one. Meanwhile, my HP Envy 360 has a malfunctioning cooling fan (that I can’t find a replacement part for) and is deteriorating. So, he advised me to give ASUS a try and I did.
I am a filmmaker and needed something that would allow me to do video editing. Based on what we discovered, a gaming laptop seemed to be the best bet considering the good ones will have quality video cards. Hence this choice.
I must say that I am not impressed with the graphics thus far. Also, the speed of the computer is not what I was expecting, especially considering the laptop I just came from. This model has a superior CPU compared to my HP, but it doesn’t give me the power and graphics I was expecting, especially for the price. A Geek Squad tech stated this model's battery life was better than most other gaming systems which turned out to not be accurate. I only get a few hours of web browsing, not editing or doing anything that heavily drains power, just normal browsing and offline work such as using Word.
Meanwhile, I have a new laptop and I get to start over with a clean slate and not worry about losing my work, so for that, I’m ok with it for now.
However, I will do more research later to see if there’s another system that meets my needs, as well as expectations, a bit better.
