    I’ve owned a variety of laptops over the years, some powerful for gaming and some for portability and good battery life and I have to say this is the most impressive balance I have found for both. Many high-end gaming laptops don’t even have the specs such as memory and HD space that this Asus does, and I really do like it. My first Asus laptop was a gaming laptop I bought back in 2010 which I used for school, and since then I really like their products. Okay, so first off this laptop has ports! Everyone is trying to trim down their laptops with a minimal look only having one or two USB C ports. Thats ridiculous, this computer has USB A, ethernet ports, HDMI, and aux and you won’t need to worry about having a docking station with you. It even has a memory card reader. I also love that this has a numpad, which is surprising for a 15” screen, but they made it work without looking too crowded. I also appreciate the backlit keyboard even though its pretty standard for most portable computers these days. The OLED Screen Wow is all I have to say. For my desktop setup, I have a 2k MSI gaming monitor that cost around $600 2 years ago, which I always found it to be an amazing display…until I compared it with this laptop. This is my first OLED screen to own, and I duplicated games and videos between here and my gaming monitor. I basically couldn’t believe my eyes. The colors look so much richer and gorgeous, and was surprisingly bright for an OLED screen (I turned up the brightness), they state it can get up to 500 nits. Watching some high quality videos also blew my monitor away. I wish I could share a picture of the difference but the camera doesn’t do it justice, you’ll need to see it in person. The screen dims when not in-use as a protective measure to prevent any damage a bright idle screen can have for long periods of time. OLED is an amazing technology, if you’re not familiar with it, definitely research it. I ran some youtube video tests on the screen to compare to other IPS monitors I’ve used, and its crazy to see no backlight bleed or blooming. When the screen is black, it looks like there is no power going to it. Gaming So this isn’t some super gaming beast of a computer, but like I said, the specs are amazing. I played Starcraft, Diablo, Call of Duty, and Bright Memory and it handled them great. A first person shooter like Call of Duty isn’t going to be played on ultra graphics, but still playable. The most impressive part is, the quietness and less heat produced by this laptop as opposed to a full fledged gaming laptop. Those can get very loud and hot to the touch, and even heat your desk up with all those fans running at full speed. I’m actually surprised this laptop performed as well as it did in these games. Performance I can’t stand a computer that is slow and laggy, but with the beefed up specs of 24GB of memory, Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, and a whole 2 TB of disk space, this computer has been very responsive and fast. 16GB is just too low for a gaming computer since Windows will use over half that just for being on. I ran some HD speed tests and was getting around 5000MB/s Read/Write speeds. The processor has a built-in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) to assist with AI tasks which is compatible with Copilot. Its responsive when waking up and boots up quickly. A couple of other things Speakers are nice and loud, and the spatial sound is a good addition. This laptop is lightweight considering its packed with top hardware, and has a nice quality feel with the metal lid. They tout that its a little more durable than a standard laptop by being tested with shock drops, vibrations, and temperature. One thing I do wish this laptop had was a higher resolution. For 15” FHD is not bad, and almost expected, but for having a built in GPU and this gorgeous screen, a 2k resolution would be the cherry on top. Other than that, I don’t have anything on the negative side to say about it. Battery life has been good so far, WiFi 6e gets me near gigabit wireless speeds, has a fast charge, and its portability is fantastic. Overall I’m pleased with it and I think for its price point you get some of the best bang for your buck.

    Good to use in a bind, but the GPU lacks in VRAM making the use of the laptop skip and lag when loading graphic demanding applications

    Bought it, and returned it the next morning. The keyboard lit up, the monitor/screen never turned on. Also after charging for about 20 minutes it got really hot on the keyboard and under. Such a disappointment because it had all the specs I needed. Luckily I was able to return and get the refund.

    ASUS - Defective right out of the box

    Instructions say to plug in the Asus Vivobook Pro for 3 hours, open the display and push the power button. The keyboard lights up. That's it. That's all I could get it to do. Can't turn off the keyboard which stays LIT. Hopefully it won't catch fire while shipping back to Best Buy. I would have exchanged it but unless I return to Best Buy (over 30 minutes away), I will be charged AGAIN for this non-working laptop again (now over $2200) until they get it back. Which makes no sense since I paid for it in the first place; why do they need to get paid a 2nd time? Your senseless policy lost yourself a sale. Now and in the future.

    Overheats a lot and the display just turns off randomly after a few minutes. The disgn looks nice but functionally not very good. However, I will say best buy gave me a real good deal on it and it comes with a guarantee.

    Open Box 'Good' would not boot.

    This refers to the openbox 'Good' I tried to pickup at the Pasadena Best Buy Store. It booted to a strange screen. When I asked for help the staff said I would have to make an appointment. The store did refund the money but that was the extent of their helpfulness. There is always a risk with open box.

Please try to do a power cycle by pressing and holding down the power button to shut it down completely, then power on. If it powers on but still will not bootup, please repeat the power cycle process again. Additionally, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear

      the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the laptop until the battery is charged. If problem persists after performing these steps, please do a Cloud Recovery to restore the laptop to factory settings.     This is the worst laptop I have ever had in my life. I will never buy an ASUS again. Best Buy please remove them as a supplier, their computers are absolute garbage. My screen constantly freezes for no reason. Videos constantly pause and I need to shutdown numerous tasks. The sound constantly goes in and out and I need to restart my computer. Do not buy anything ASUS they are going to just take your money and give you a product so poorly built and made.

This laptop may freeze or unresponsive temporarily while updates are being installled and applied in the System Regsitry during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless of what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the updated server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptops will do several system reboots, black screens temporarily or restart during the update process. Once the initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation are completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. Additionallt, while accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "MyASUS" utility software or application.     Faulty HDMI - Long repair turnaround.

    This is my very first ASUS laptop. I was excited on purchasing a laptop with high end features, plenty of storage space and memory. In only 5 months my HDMI port is faulty. I visited Geek Squad who informed me it will take 3-4 weeks to get the laptop repaired. Very inconvenient and surprising that an HDMI port would go in such a short period time. Very disappointed as a first time ASUS customer. Not impressed and certainly let down.

      manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free and are built to last. The HDMI port is not working suddenly is a random problem. Before sending
      the laptop for warranty service, please do the following to resolve this problem. Check if the HDMI cable is still working properly, please try another good known cable, if available. Check inside the Display properties to see if your external monitor was selected as an output source and check in the monitor's preferences if the HDMI port was selected as your input source.     Returned- Damaged due to poor paking

    The computer was received damaged. Computer box was rattling around inside a large box with no protection. Reimbursed for a reduced amount because they canceled my replacement. Meanwhile it had gone on sale for $100 less so they basically refused to price match on an expensive item that they packed poorly. Never trust Bestbuy!

    Laptop was great and worked awesome for a month and a half , then the Wi-Fi adapter went bad and cannot even use it for its intended purpose . Talked to geek squad and without even trying to resolve the issue with 1000 purchase said oops no exchanges , so I’m a combat veteran on surviving off disability fighting cancer and I lose 1000 for a purchase I made less then two months ago .

Check if no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. Additionally, please ensure Windows is up to date to maintain optimum power management within the OS. This laptop has a battery with a battery life of approximately 10 hours of light to medium workload. To improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the laptop. Once fully charged, please use it, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Also, please check if this laptop is running with the most Windows, drivers and BIOS update. Additionally, no third-party battery draining applications are not running in the background if not in use.

    The motherboard went out less than 30 Days after the 12 month warranty ran out. Bestbuy refused to help on repairs and quoted $450 plus tax for the repair. The Best Buy agent said this particular laptop has motherboard problems. Stay away! Do NOT purchase this!
