My previous laptop was a 2018 Samsung Notebook 9 pro. In comparison, the Asus has a faster processor and an improved display at a lower price. The battery life is also better and the weight is the same. Furthermore, this Asus is ranked at the top of Wirecutter's list of good PC Laptops.

The laptop is slim, light, and has great build quality! The new Intel CPU is very efficient and the battery life is the best I've ever experienced with any Windows laptop. I've owned more expensive laptops and this Vivobook S definitely feels like a higher quality laptop. You won't go wrong with this laptop for productive work and web browsing.

Wow! I'm a designer and this thing crushes for the $ and quality. 16:10 screen is perfect size, has perfect color, ratio, response rates, rendering, etc. Nice responsive keyboard and trackpad. Fast processor. Sexy, solid build quality with lots of metal. Black shows prints like everyone says but no more than every other matt black device.

Works great for every day use. The battery life is outstanding more than 5 hours of constant use and still at 52%. Internet surfing with 8+ tabs open on Chrome and typing in Word and it never complained or lagged or even got warm. I ran Geekbench Single Core = 2506 Multi-Core 9738 not great numbers but it gets the job done. I found it runs Blinder without a problem but I only work with models. The screen is bright and has good color accuracy. The chassis is a magnesium alloy which is very nice sturdy by comparison to some of the older Acers I have had. I like the keyboard but I got this for my wife she has smaller hands and it fits for her better than me. The large trackpad is very nice and doesn't seem to cause a problem if you brush it while typing. This thing has plenty of ports for any needed extras. It did have some issues with the hibernate and sleep modes when we first got it but Asus put out 2 BIOS updates in the last few months that seems to have fixed the issues for the most part, however if the battery gets to low while in hibernate or sleep mode the light will show it is still on but it will not wake till plugged in, once its plugged in it comes right up no problem. Just remember to do the updates it can fix problems if it is not a physical hardware problem.

Bought this for my kid and she is very happy with it. Easy to set up (except all the MS pestering to use an MS account). Runs everything my kid uses well including Genshin Impact which used to slow down her old machine.

If I could rate this 4.5 stars I would do that instead. For the 650 I got this laptop for. There really aren't many better options. If it's going for the full retail of 950. I would say to look at other laptops. The OLED display is fantastic. If it were 120hz it would be perfect. The battery life is less than I expected, but better than any other windows laptop I've used. The snapdragon laptops and new macbooks still have an edge here. Even if it's by much less than it used to be. The speed of the laptop is acceptable for office work. Just keep it on balanced instead of energy saver. If you want to avoid a noticeable drop in performance. All around I have to say it's a good laptop. I wouldn't try running games on it unless you have it plug into power outlet. All in all this is a laptop worth considering. Even if you can spend 1k or more. We really have gotten to a point where the returns on that are minimal. Unless you are seeking great speakers, a GPU for games or 120hz I see no reason to spend more than this on a laptop.

I got this laptop for 650 dollars; at that price, it's got the bang for the buck. It has the latest gen processor, fabulous battery life, good speakers and display. I would have liked an antiglare display but pretty much none have these days. It's light and portable as well.

Got this laptop for $450. Build quality feels a little cheap compared to a MacBook air, but it was literally half the price and is comparable in terms of battery life and performance.

I’m really satisfied with this Laptop! The build quality is decent, feeling solid and well made. The processor delivers enough performance for my daily tasks—multitasking, browsing, office... The battery life is good. The camera is good enough for video calls, and connectivity is OK. It doesn’t get too hot or loud during use, which is a big plus. The sound is decent not great, and the trackpad is responsive and accurate but I've used better . Overall, I’d say it's good bang for the buck.

    Unbeatable deal (when on sale)

The laptop is an amazing proposition when on sale! The core ultra 5 in (my humble opinion) has equivalent performance to the core 7, with negligible differences in performance day to day office tasks. The screen on the laptop is exceptional albeit being FHD. Battery life often ranges in the 7-10 hour range and never came close to the advertised hours in simple day to day office work. One issue which persisted despite driver updates is the track pad lag and shadow touches (which might have been a faulty unit that I have received). Furthermore, as described in other reviews, the laptop is a fingerprint magnet.

The ASUS VivoBook S14 (14-inch) is a stylish, lightweight laptop that offers a strong mix of performance, vibrant OLED display quality, and excellent battery life — lasting up to 17 hours on a charge. Powered by Intel’s latest processors, it easily handles daily tasks, while its slim, colorful design makes it great for students and professionals on the move. It features a comfortable keyboard, fast connectivity options like Thunderbolt 4, and useful extras like a fingerprint sensor. Though the screen is a bit reflective and some models have non-upgradable RAM, overall, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone needing a reliable, portable laptop at a good price.

This is a very good laptop, I got it on a crazy sale for less than $500, but even at ~$700 I'd recommend it. The screen is lovely and the build quality is great; it feels like a premium device. The AI/Copilot stuff is obnoxious and worthless, but despite that it's a great laptop for my dad's general use. I don't think there was much "bloatware" on it, but I always wipe the drive and do a clean install so I don't remember. My dad has been using it for a few months and has no complaints.
