    The picture is good. The sound is awful. I can barley hear and the sound is turned up to 100. I have good hearing.

    Great picture. Input changing and menu options are a little clunky. Does not have a headphone out port which was upsetting to learn. Great monitor otherwise.

    The view angle on this one is touchy. If you are too high or two low, it affects the brightness a lot. Not great for a stand-up desk which I am mostly using.

    Asus could've done a lot better job with this. A very sub-par can get one better for the price.

    No Quality Control - Please Read Ahead

    I worked at Best Buy for 2 years, I now work in IT. I love ASUS, they're my favorite computer, motherboard, monitor, router, everything manufacturer. But this item? This is THE WORST quality control I have ever seen from Asus. I had one of these monitors shipped to my house. Turn it on, one SINGLE pixel was stuck on green. Ouch. I call Best Buy, their wonderful support personnel ship me out another one and even overnight it. Nice! I get the new monitor 2 days later. Guess what? ANOTHER single stuck green pixel, albeit in a slightly different spot. I called Best Buy customer support again. Sadly, I got someone who was not interested in helping me since I already had a replacement shipped out to me. Even talked to their supervisor, no dice. Double ouch. Asked if they could move me onto the next model up so I wouldn't have this situation happen again. Nope. I was told they couldn't do anything for me and told me to return both my monitors to my local Best Buy store and buy another monitor. Too bad this monitor is only available online through Best Buy which means more waiting. As a student and IT professional, not having a second monitor available to me for almost a week was awful. To wrap up my story, I purchased the next model up dubbed VG245H which has no DisplayPort. That was sad considering it was a big reason I purchased this particular model. Since I was spiteful, I went online elsewhere and purchased a refurbished VP247QG. Guess what everyone? ANOTHER stuck pixel, this time it's white and much more tolerable. I'm keeping this one because I got a much better deal than I expected, but this is sad. ASUS needs to focus on quality control, and I wish Best Buy could have helped me out more. I will continue to buy Asus in the future but only because of my love for the brand, which at this point, is shaky at best. I cannot recommend this monitor to anyone. On paper it's perfect, but this one is plagued with panel issues.

    When I bought this monitor I noticed there was a dead pixel in the middle of my screen. So I went to my local best buy to return it and they shipped out a new one to me. Then when I plugged in my new one, another dead pixel in a different spot. So I went back and I thought "There's no way it'll happen again" and when I plugged in the third one I got it had another dead pixel on the screen. I would recommend staying away from this product because ASUS doesn't have a good quality control.

    Too bright, colors appear over saturated

    Got this mainly as a basic monitor and for some light gaming. Little was I expecting the monitor to be so horrible for anything other than gaming. Let's start with the good. I can see why this works well for gaming, it's extremely bright. Almost too bright. As a result the colors pop and it has a vibrant look and feel. Now for the bad. Everything else. On Windows, because of how bright it looks, anything that's white will just blind you. You end up having to lower the brightness, which then washes and fades out the colors. I've tried to adjust the brightness and contrast but all it does is make it super bright or super dull. From my graphic card setting I managed to up the saturation to make it a little better, but it still fails to compare to the crispy + accurate display of my 10+ year old Viewsonic with dead pixels (replacing) or my generic HP monitors. The colors are all off and slightly muted. It's most noticeable with red, as they look orange-y. To add insult to injuries, the vertical viewing angle is pretty awful to non existent. This may not be an issue for most, but I was planing to use the monitor to watch movies and I'm usually laying down or sitting back further away which lowers my viewing angle. +Good only for gaming -Everything else. Don't try to use this especially for graphic design work, the colors are off.

There is also an eye care technology included know as blue light filter. The Blue light filter decreases the amount of blue light displayed on the screen of the device.
