I’ve been using the ASUS Zenbook 14 (Intel Core Ultra 7 – Intel Evo Edition) for a few months now, and honestly, I’m super impressed. First off, the OLED touchscreen is absolutely gorgeous. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything just pops. Whether I'm streaming Netflix or editing photos, the display makes a huge difference. It's also responsive to touch, which is a nice bonus for quick scrolling and zooming. Performance-wise, this thing flies. The Intel Core Ultra 7 chip combined with 16GB of RAM makes multitasking seamless. I’ve had 15+ tabs open, Spotify playing, and some light Photoshop work going on without any lag. The 1TB SSD is super fast and gives me more than enough space for all my work files and media. The build quality is another strong point. The Zenbook feels premium and sturdy, but it’s still lightweight and portable. The Jasper Gray finish is sleek and professional—subtle, but elegant. Battery life has been solid so far. I'm averaging around 8-9 hours with moderate use, and it charges up quickly when needed. A couple of minor downsides: the speakers are decent, but not mind-blowing, and the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to (a little less key travel than I’m used to). But those are small trade-offs given the overall package. If you're looking for a stylish, powerful, and reliable laptop with an amazing display, the Zenbook 14 is a no-brainer. Definitely worth the price.

The Asus Zenbook Q425 offers an incredible value with excellent performance, and I’d even go as far as to say that it rivals more expensive windows laptops or even the latest MacBooks in some of its capabilities. So, if you’re looking for a windows laptop that boasts shockingly great battery life, a vibrant 500 nit full HD OLED display, an absurd amount of storage, a massive glass trackpad, backlit keys, two thunderbolt/USB type-C ports, a 1080p webcam with a built-in camera cover…. Okay, okay. I admit, that list could go on a while. What I’m trying to get at is that this laptop is something special, especially at its price point. Before receiving this laptop, I’d read a little about Intel’s new Evo laptops. At face value, they promise at least baseline performance of 10-hours battery life, instant on from sleep, fast charging, and quiet laptop performance (meaning you won’t be hearing a fan constantly droning on). So, I was excited to give this laptop a spin. Setup was a breeze, as has been the case for Windows for several years now. Once I was up and running, after installing all system updates and charging the laptop fully, I decided to put the battery to the test. I wanted to put it through a common scenario: you’re on a long plane ride and want to binge watch your favorite show. So, I opened Netflix to something I knew was in HDR (high dynamic range) and let it play through. After an hour and a half, I was amazed to see the battery had barely budged, having fell to around 94-95% and STILL promising me 10-hours of battery life. I restarted the program again and let it run, and when I came back (now 3 hours running on battery) it still had 87% battery with remaining life of 8-hours and 45-minutes. I had barely put a dent in the thing. The battery still held up solidly, though it was not quite as stellar when browsing with several tabs in Chrome. I’d say just eyeballing it, that it drained maybe 10% faster in this scenario. But given that the laptop boasts 15-hours of battery life, that 10% brings you down to 13.5 hours of battery, theoretically. That’s nothing to shake a stick at. For comparison, the latest MacBook Air’s claim up to 18-hours of battery life. So, with the Zenbook you’re getting pretty dang close for a Windows machine. Now, as I was watching this program on Netflix I was also in awe at the display. OLED is just so much more pretty to the eye than most other display types, with micro-LED as maybe the closest competitor. With OLED you get the deepest blacks because each pixel is individually lit. So, if no light or color data is sent to those pixels i.e. for pitch blacks, those pixels are truly turned off. With other display types that are traditionally backlit, you don’t get that and will typically get light bleed which can be reduced by local dimming as is seen on some TVs. We’re used to OLED displays on our phones by this point, however, seeing it on a screen as large as a laptop’s just felt that much more immersive. The screen does only have a 60hz refresh rate, but I could care less because it makes up for it in solid battery life. Performance wise, the Zenbook boasts 16 gigs of ram, a whole terabyte of solid-state storage, and an Intel Evo Ultra 7 processor. This thing is no slouch. In terms of anything office, business, or personal daily use wise, you’ll be hard pressed to make this machine hiccup. Now it’s not necessarily built for gaming, but I’m sure at some reduced settings you could play some basic games, though I did not give that a go. What I did notice is that absolutely nothing I did on this laptop felt like it took any time to register: opening any app feels instantaneous, waking the computer from sleep is snappy, switching between open applications is speedy as can be. Plus, the amount of storage you get on this thing (1tb SSD) would cost you hundreds of dollars with some competitors (I’m calling you out, Apple). Last thing I want to draw attention to is the laptop’s speakers. I personally feel like most manufacturers give last thought to their laptop’s speakers, and ultimately slap whatever bottom barrel tin-sounding tweeters than can find to fit in their machines. That is not the case with the Harmon Kardon enhanced speakers on this machine. It honestly is the best sounding Windows laptop I’ve ever heard. I say this as someone who owns an M2 Pro MacBook Pro that has, in my opinion, the best speakers of any laptop. The Harmon Kardon tuned speakers can make this little unit a solid portable TV, without the need to use headphones or a Bluetooth speaker to get any halfway decent sound quality. Music on this machine produces deeper low-ends than most other laptops I’ve used/tried, which fills out the EQ nicely. Given that there’s nary a single bad thing I have to say about this laptop, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a performance Windows laptop that goes toe-to-toe with more expensive competitors. Plus, it doesn’t look half bad either on top of it all.

Detachment between keyboard and display screen

The laptop itself is pretty good in terms of functionality, but after a few months of usage, it started to fall apart. The display screen is starting to detach from the keyboard, and it did not even experience any physical damage such as being dropped, scratched, etc. I would say that the laptop itself is placed at a fair price, but I would want to see a solution for this issue.

Design and Build Insights: • This device boasts a 14-inch OLED touchscreen that truly pops with its 1920x1200 resolution, complemented by slim bezels. It's equipped with Harman Kardon speakers featuring Dolby Atmos, creating an immersive auditory experience for movies, music, and games. The screen's flexibility to lie flat at 180 degrees enhances its utility, particularly for note-taking purposes. • The laptop's design is strikingly sleek at just 0.59 inches thick and incredibly light at 2.82 lbs, making it an ideal pick for those who prioritize performance alongside daily portability, supported by a robust battery life. • I was impressed by its fast charging capability, the battery was up from 10% to 60% in roughly 40 minutes. The 15-hour battery life, courtesy of its 75Wh battery, ensures it can keep up with a busy day at work or school. • Under the hood, the Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 1 processor is a powerhouse, optimized for those who demand multitasking capabilities and multimedia creation. It strikes a fine balance between performance and efficiency, thanks in part to the integrated Intel Arc Graphics suitable for casual gaming. • The inclusion of an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) within the Intel Core Ultra processor is a game-changer, significantly enhancing the laptop's efficiency with AI-driven tasks. This tech ensures smoother, faster operation of AI-dependent applications, streamlining workflow. • Equipped with 16 GB of RAM, the device excels in multitasking and running demanding applications. Its 1 TB SSD offers generous storage for a variety of files and media. • On the connectivity front, the device is well-outfitted with 1 USB-A, 2 Thunderbolt/USB-C ports (which support both external display and charging), 1 HDMI, and an audio jack port. • The FHD camera, with its privacy shutter, adds a layer of security and convenience that I find invaluable. • The device is future-ready, supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and comes with a sleek USB-C charger. Performance Evaluation: • In testing, the laptop proved to be a solid performer, adeptly handling a blend of productivity tasks, entertainment, and basic gaming without breaking a sweat. I experienced no issues with thermal management or performance while engaging in multitasking scenarios, such as compiling code while streaming music. Its stellar battery life stood out, easily lasting through a day of web browsing and movie streaming during travel. • The AI-supporting (NPU) processor has been a particular focus of my testing, especially regarding its capability in running AI models for data analytics. My initial findings reveal no compromise on performance or battery efficiency, showcasing the device's prowess in modern computing tasks. Overall Impressions: • In conclusion, this laptop impresses with its sleek, ultra-light build, and durable design, without skimping on performance for multitasking or productivity. The extended battery life, the chic graphite color, and military-grade build quality all contribute to its appeal. It's a laptop that not only meets current needs but is poised to handle future tasks with ease.

Asus Zenbook 14 OLED 14in WUXGA Touch Laptop

This is really a 14in powerhouse. Asus Zenbook is light, easy to hold and carry at 2.82lbs! Funny thing is, with this being a touch screen, I am very surprised that at this price point it is not also a 2in1. While the reality is, I have never been a frequent user of my other 2in1 laptops, it’s just a great feature, especially when traveling. Overall, it was not really a negative factor in my review of it. At 16GB of Ram and a 1TB SSD, you have all the power you need for most any activity. This is only an average gaming laptop but to be honest, if you’re in the market for that, you will go with other options anyway. For multi-tasking normal work efforts (multiple MS Office apps and instances open) this is more than powerful enough to accommodate those multi-tasking options. I had over 3 each, MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word, all open at the same time with no issues and memory to spare. While the ports are a bit light on this laptop (2 x USB-C, 1 x USB-A 3.2 and an HDMI), they are still sufficient to work. Remember that this is a very light 14in box, it’s not going to come stocked port heavy. Maybe it’s because I am right-handed, but I prefer at least the USB-C’s on the left side, not the right side as they are here. The HDMI is also on the right which if you’re right-handed (at least for me), its slightly annoying but I am not complaining because I really do like this box. I have to say that I really love the display. It’s 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) is only listed as “Entry Level” on Best Buys’s Graphics rating but I must say, I am impressed. Color depth is impressive and significantly improved over a couple other of higher end laptops I have/had. Touch display is responsive and spot on. Lastly, I don’t have anything negative to say here, just a couple wishes that I would have hoped they would have included. I have become addicted to the fingerprint scanner on a laptop. This Zenbook doesn’t have it and that disappoints me. I can get over it with the quality front camera that supports facial recognition as well as the pin entry, but I love a quality fingerprint scanner. I just feel like it’s very secure and easy to manage, unless someone wants to cut off my fingertip to get into my laptop, only to discover boring spreadsheets, mindless word docs and web searches as risqué as “best Italy beach vacation destinations”. Overall, this is a great box, a few design changes could improve functionality (in my opinion), but if you’re a lefty, you may be fine with the port placements. OH, and I about forgot. One thing that literally blew me away is the battery and battery life. I charged the laptop upon receiving it. I then spent about 4 hours setting it up and doing a variety of tasks. I then got tied up with work stuff and let it sit in standby for about 3 days. I returned to it only to find that it had not lost ANY battery life! I used it for about another 2 days off and on, but then got wrapped back up in work. I returned AGAIN to find no battery loss. This laptop has a 4-Cell Lithium Ion Battery which so far seems amazing. Charging is quick as well! I would recommend this laptop to others; I do think that you need to completely understand all the features and compare accordingly because this price point is becoming very competitive. This laptop as a 1-year warranty which is great, I have seen less in the competition.

Within 2 weeks it failed in an extemely-odd way where the CPU would not run faster than 300MHz. That means it takes minutes to boot up, task manager takes 30 seconds to load, etc. It doesn’t matter if it’s plugged in or not. There is only one power profile (balanced). I reinstalled Windows, but the issue persists. Even the UEFI takes 30+ seconds to load each page. I have the latest version 305 of the UEFI/firmware and all the latest updates according to MyASUS. Also, the laptop constantly has issues with Windows Hello. You’re supposed to be able to use facial recognition, but it throws a “reset Windows Hello” error on every startup and it, quite literally, never works.

I recently purchased the ASUS ZenBook, and it has been an exceptional experience from the start. This laptop perfectly balances style, performance, and portability, making it an ideal choice for both professional and personal use. Design and Build Quality: The first thing that stands out is the sleek, ultra-thin design. The all-metal chassis feels premium and sturdy, giving it a sophisticated look. The lightweight design makes it easy to carry around, which is perfect for someone always on the go. Performance: Powered by the latest Intel Core processor, this laptop handles multitasking with ease. Whether I'm working on multiple spreadsheets, editing photos, or streaming videos, the ZenBook performs smoothly without any lag. The fast SSD ensures quick boot times and rapid file transfers. Display: The Full HD NanoEdge display is stunning. The colors are vibrant, and the brightness is more than adequate for both indoor and outdoor use. The thin bezels give it a modern look and provide an immersive viewing experience. Keyboard and Touchpad: The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, making typing a breeze. The backlit keys are a nice touch for working in low-light conditions. The touchpad is smooth and precise, and the integrated fingerprint sensor is a great addition for quick and secure login. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive, lasting through a full workday on a single charge. This is a crucial feature for me as I often work away from a power source. Connectivity: With various ports, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and a microSD card reader, connectivity is never an issue. The latest Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and reliable internet connections. Overall Experience: The ASUS ZenBook has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a well-rounded laptop with exceptional performance, stunning visuals, and great portability. Pros: • Slim and Lightweight: It’s incredibly thin and light (about 1.3kg), making it perfect for travel and working on the go. It easily slips into my backpack without adding bulk. • Build Quality: The all-metal chassis feels premium and durable. The design is sleek and modern, with a beautiful matte finish that resists fingerprints. • Display: The 14” Full HD display is crisp and bright with good color accuracy. Bezels are super thin, giving it a clean look. Some models even offer an OLED version, which looks stunning. • Performance: Powered by an Intel Core i5/i7 (or Ryzen 5/7 depending on model), it handles daily tasks, multitasking, and even some light photo editing with ease. No noticeable lag. • Battery Life: This is a standout feature—easily gets 10–12 hours of regular use on a single charge. Great for long workdays or travel. • Keyboard & Trackpad: Typing is comfortable with good key travel. The trackpad is responsive and includes the neat NumberPad feature (a virtual numpad built into the touchpad), which is a clever touch. • Ports: Unlike many other ultrabooks, the ZenBook 14 still includes a good variety of ports—USB-A, USB-C (with charging), HDMI, and a microSD slot. Cons: • Speakers: They’re decent but not mind-blowing. Gets the job done for Zoom calls and light music, but you’ll want headphones for anything immersive. Final Verdict: The ASUS 14 is an excellent choice for students, professionals, and anyone who needs a stylish, powerful, and portable laptop. It offers outstanding value for money, especially compared to pricier competitors like the Dell XPS 13 or MacBook Air. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using the ASUS Zenbook 14 (Intel Core Ultra 7, Intel Evo Edition) for six months now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it blends performance, design, and functionality. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Display (10/10) The 14” FHD+ OLED touchscreen is the real star here. Colors are incredibly vivid, blacks are deep, and everything looks sharp and immersive. The 16:10 aspect ratio gives more vertical space, which is great for productivity. Whether I’m editing documents, coding, or streaming videos—this display is a joy to use. Performance (9.5/10) Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 and built on the Intel Evo platform, the laptop boots quickly, runs cool, and handles multitasking with ease. I’ve run engineering simulations, handled large spreadsheets, and even done light media editing without any lag. The 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD ensure smooth performance and fast access to files. Design & Build (9/10) The Jasper Gray finish gives it a sleek, professional look. It’s thin, lightweight, and easy to carry around—perfect for school, work, or travel. The build feels premium, and the hinge design is solid. The backlit keyboard and large trackpad are very responsive and comfortable for long work sessions. Battery Life (8.5/10) Battery life is solid. I typically get around 8–10 hours of use on a full charge with mixed usage (browser tabs, Excel, Zoom, and YouTube). It charges quickly via USB-C, which is convenient. Audio & Features (8/10) The speakers are clear and loud enough for meetings and casual streaming. The touchscreen is responsive and supports stylus input. The fingerprint sensor and AI webcam features are a nice bonus for security and video calls.

I enjoyed this laptop, it boasts a beautiful design, and the unboxing experience was delightful. The unique laptop lift-up feature in the box was a nice touch, I know I know, but it was nice and unexpected for me. The keyboard is excellent, providing a comfortable and tactile typing experience. The trackpad is smooth and responsive, though it has a diving board design which requires more force to click near the middle and if you’re all the way at the top, no clicks at all, it just doesn't do anything. The chassis is sturdy and well-built, with minimal flex. The entire laptop seems plastic, but I don’t find that a bad thing especially with how sturdy it is and how light it is. The fans became pretty audible during Windows updates during the initial setup, reaching around 50 decibels in normal mode for the fan profile and up to 55-56 decibels in performance mode when I was running my performance testing. During normal use, I didn’t hear the fans at all while on battery. I heard my typing and the volume of the media I was listening to and the sound itself is great! It has no bass really, but it sounds better than any gaming laptop in 2023. This fan noise levels are reasonable in my opinion especially considering around 60 decibels is the volume of a normal conversation. With the media sound being pretty decent as well. The new Asus logo and boot-up animation add a touch of style and personality to the laptop. I know that’s a silly thing to notice, but with the OLED screen I thought it was nice. The screen is good! It delivers vibrant colors and deep blacks as most OLEDs do and this is no exception. The 1080p resolution may not be ideal for some people and I had some text clarity issues at first, but the text clarity was a non-issue after running the Windows ClearType utility. Not sure if it’s WOLED causing this or the 1080p resolution, but again, ClearType fixes it... or makes it less distracting. The touchscreen was a pleasant surprise, and the glossy finish adds a premium look. Unfortunately the glossy finish does make the touchscreen pretty gross after a bit. Easy to wipe down with a microfiber cloth. The laptop performs well for light gaming, handling most games smoothly at low settings and 1080p. I did have to drop it to 800p for some games and for others I was able to get to Medium settings without too many problems. Control performs particularly well in my testing and was around 60 FPS with medium settings at 1080p. I was able to play Call of Duty MW3 at 60 as well, and Starfield I targeted 30 and was able to achieve that. In terms of battery life, the laptop provides approximately three days of mixed use, including work, web browsing, and entertainment. This wasn’t an exact science though since I messed up and added it to my docking station at work for awhile without thinking about it and completing a few tasks. That said, I had no battery anxiety using it. If Windows estimates are to be believed it said I had around 8 hours of use on a full charge. Charging is relatively quick but not exceptional. Pretty typical there at 65 watts. Overall, the laptop is an excellent choice for users seeking a well-rounded and capable machine. I think it’s a great device!

Excellent speed and battery. Screen display also a plus. Its light weight makes it an excellent traveling laptop. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was the keyboard is very small. Extremely difficult to properly type. Other than that I found it to be an excellent computer.

I have had this laptop now for almost a year and I couldnt be any happier with it. I just needed something to do everyday things, and this fit the bill. Its lightweight, and the perfect "lap" size. The battery lasts all day and I really like that I can set it so that when the charging cable is in it will stop charging at 80% which protects the life of the battery. Its just as easy to tell it to charge to 100% as well. The touch screen works perfectly. Its fast, with plenty of processing power and storage space. The touch pad is a decent size as well. The keyboard keys have a nice soft touch.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 Intel Core 7 - Intel Evo Edition - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD is a great personal laptop. I'm not a tech savvy human and purchased this unit 9 months ago. It's compact, powerful and a great value. It offers forward thinking technology and is easy to navigate and learn. The unit feels sturdy and is lightweight. It covers all of the basics like having a high-definition clear display, backlite keyboard, plenty of ports, and good battery life. It's been a great performer for daily use and multitasking.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED 14" Touch Laptop is, in many ways, a dream come true for this photographer. The OLED screen is clear and the colors are true. With a nit rating of 500, the screen is BRIGHT, which is very important when working with fine detail in photos, both new and old. I have plenty of space for photos and music with 1 TB of storage on board. The upgraded Intel Core Ultra 7 series 1 processor is a major upgrade from the I7 processors just a few years ago. But what really sold me was the weight. This laptop is so light! This really is a great laptop for creative types. That said, there are some flaws. For one, there's only one USB port and two USB-C ports. Considering the power cord plugs into one of the USB-C ports, functionally speaking, that leaves only 1 USB and 1 USB-C port for use. There is also no slot for a SD card. I shoot with a Canon DSLR camera and prefer to edit my photos on my laptop, meaning I would prefer a laptop with a built-in SD card reader. Would I recommend this laptop to a friend? Yes, I would for general use, but I would also have caveats. If you're a creative person who needs more connection points, I would go with a different laptop.

I recently purchased the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED and it’s been excellent. The 14-inch OLED display is vibrant and clear, perfect for media and work. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD ensure smooth performance for multitasking. It’s lightweight and portable with a decent battery life of 8-12 hours. The keyboard is comfortable, and the touchpad is responsive. The audio quality is impressive, and the webcam works well for video calls. One downside is the limited upgradeability due to soldered RAM. Overall, a fantastic portable laptop with a stunning display.

I purchased the Asus Zenbook 14x roughly 3 weeks ago now, and so far I've really enjoyed it. Here are some things that I'm happy with: 1) Performance: It's 99% as fast as my previous Dell XPS 15 9530 with the same processor and RAM. The Dell has a slightly better cooling system w/two fans, so I believe that allows to eke out a tad bit better CPU performance. It's not a noticeable difference by any means, but if you're going strictly by the benchmarks. But, of course, the Dell has much larger body to accommodate a two-fan cooling system. 2) Screen: There's a lot of praise for Asus' OLED screens, and it's completely justifiable. They're bright, color-saturated and plenty vivid. Everything looks crisp on these OLED screens, even scanned copies of old newspapers. The high refresh rate is nice to have, but I honestly have it turned off in favor of longer battery life. HDR videos truly pop once their displayed in full-screen. Fingerprint magnet-yes. Worth it-absolutely. 3)Size: I always felt that 15 inch laptops were too big, bulky and sometimes heavy for my everyday use. But 13-inchers were always too small. So finding a powerful laptop in the 14" range was great. This one is actually 14.5", due to it's taller screen shape. 4) Build quality is top-notch. I hate laptops whose keyboard tray moves up and down when pressed. I can thankfully say that this Zenbook laptop is very structurally solid with little to no bend or flex. I love that! 5) Touchpad is great. 100x better than on my Dell, which struggled with palm detection mightily. After you've had a bad touchpad experience, a good touchpad is worth its weight in gold. 6) USB-A is still present! Yes, I love having dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, but keep around a good ol' USB-A port for the legacy devices is just plain smart. There are a few areas of improvement I'd make: 1) No SD card slot. I don't use them very often, but I do use them for bulk item backups (pictures and music). 2) Inconvenient power button sometimes gets hit when I'm reaching for the 'delete' button. I prefer if the power button is on the side or somewhere away from the keyboard. 3) Lots of Asus bloatware is included. Everything from screen tools and calibration apps to an app for connecting your phone (which is totally redundant given Microsoft's included My Phone app). It's just a lot...and most of it auto-starts when you boot the PC. Not cool. Overall, I give the laptop high marks for being a powerful computer in a just-right size. The OLED screen really completes the package! If you're in the market for a do-everything laptop with few compromises, check this one out.
