The laptop is really nice and feels good with high quality materials but after 2 months I started having issues with the sound and screen so I had to return. Sad because it was a good deal but can’t handle it if issues are coming after 2 months only

Fantastic laptop for my mobile office

I’ve been in the market for a new laptop to use mainly for work. At my job I need a very mobile laptop for working remotely with customers and in various offices on a day-to-day basis. I need a laptop with quick processing abilities, good battery life for working in the field all day, and at a good price. I am not a gamer and I only do light video editing, so having the most powerful/expensive computer is not what I need. So I decided on the Asus Q415 laptop and after using it for several days I would say that I found exactly the laptop I was looking for. Initial impressions: It is extremely light and thin which is exactly what I was looking for. As mentioned, I work out in the field all day meeting clients/customers in their homes or offices. This computer has been excellent for that purpose so far. The backlit keyboard on this computer is a welcome addition (the older you get, the more important this is!) and I love the tactile keyboard, feels great when typing and very responsive. The OLED touchscreen is outstanding. Colors are well-saturated, bright and crisp. I usually use an external mouse with laptops, I’m just not as productive using touchpads, but this computer has a touchscreen, the first that I’ve owned. I’m finding that the more I use the touchscreen functionality the less I need a separate mouse, so that is an unexpected bonus. The speakers in the laptop are remarkably good for such a small/thin computer. The clarity is very nice even at the loudest setting, and it gets fairly loud. Regarding battery life, it has done exactly what I’ve needed thus far. After working in the field for a few days with the Asus it has plenty of battery life at the end of the day, usually over 50% remaining. I didn’t stretch it to the limits to see how long it would last before it died (I have customers, I need the computer to be working!) so I just recharge at the end of the day in preparation for tomorrow and I have no problem with that. I am no computer expert so I cannot rattle off technical jargon regarding computer latency but I will say this from a businessman’s perspective, this computer is extremely fast and responsive. There is essentially no lag time when processing commands with all the programs and software that I use, I mean it just responds instantaneously. This laptop comes with 8gb of ram and in doing some research apparently it is not upgradable. I saw a review on Youtube where the guy said you should probably get the version that comes with 16gb to get the most out of the laptop. I guess he has a point, but for my purposes as stated above this computer is plenty fast, very capable and at a very good price. I have no complaints whatsoever and I highly recommend it.

I love this OLED display but I must say while is crystal clear at the same it get lost of glare which I am not fan, but I guess overall quality of this amazing picture beats some glare. Touch screen is nice feature and it does come handy when I want to zoom at something, and it more convenient than using mousepad. Built in camera closing lid it's nice touch and I really love that feature. Computer design is beautiful, polishing is awesome and weight is just perfect, not too light and not heavy. Device is very fast with exeption of start up, I do have slight delays there and if I click something there is two seconds delay to open up folder or file. Same thing with wifi, it takes about two seconds to connect on start up. Keyboard and touchpad are both quiet and pleasant to use, and computer itself it's quiet even when fan runs up and handle my works and same games very good. Device comes with 500gb space ssd drive and will provide planty of storage space for all your needs. My biggest complaint are lack of ports and sensitivity to fingerprints on lid. Device has 1 USB full size port, 2 of USB type C ports, 3,5mm audio jack for headsets and 1 hdmi output, and unless you are not using docking station like I do (I don't like to use one but lack of ports makes me), make sure to get USB type C adapters. As you can see on my picture lid is magnet for fingerprint and every single touch will leave a mark on it. Battery life is great and I get combinen time of 3 hours of battery life while watching some video and doing some work with email. Pros: OLED display Amazing clear picture Touch screen Quiet and comfortable keyboard Large mousepad Camera latch Fast processor Good storage size Perfect weight Good battery life Cons: Lack of ports Fingerprints sensitive Too much glare on the screen

I have owned several Asus computers and many of their other products (routers, motherboards) - all of which were well built and reliable. Based on my initial impression, I have no doubt that this Zenbook is the same quality I have come to expect from Asus. The light weight and thin profile, combined with the 14" screen size, make this laptop very portable and easy to hold while using. The Intel Core Ultra 5 Evo has plenty of power for everyday task and is very efficient. Pros 1. Excellent build quality. The screen hinge is easy to position and has no play at all. The aluminum case has a quality feel - good texture/finish and does not bend or creak. The rubber feet on the bottom keep do a great job of keeping the laptop in place and leave room for ventilation on hard surfaces. 2. Stay cools... never got hot and the fan is very quiet. 3. Battery life is great. While I didn't get the 15hrs claimed by Asus, I still easily got over 10hrs in mixed use, without trying to conserve battery power at all - blasting music (trying out the speakers), letting the MyAsus app auto-hibernate (rather than putting it to sleep during breaks), and increasing the screen brightness as needed. The MyAsus app also lets you adjust some options for managing battery health (limiting charging to 80% when a full charge is not needed) and has some smart options for conserving power when using the battery. 4. Full sized USB 3.2 Type-A port (no adapter needed), 2 USB-C ports (great since you need one for charging), head phone jack, and HDMI port (once again no adapter need – this is great, because lots of laptops make you use a USB-C adapter now). 5. 1920x1200 screen is sharp, with good colors, and brightness. It performed well in my brightly lit breakfast room and living room (lots of sun). I do wish the screen was less reflective (more of a matte finish), but adjusting the screen angle helps. 6. The nicely spaced keyboard has a good key travel and a backlight that can automatically adjust brightness to match ambient lighting. There is space on both sides of the trackpad to rest your palms and the track pad can also be disabled if you have a mouse (to avoid accidental clicks). 7. Built-in 1080p web camera is great for video conferencing. Images and video are clear with good brightness (with just a little noise/artificing). I love the easy to operate built-in privacy shutter (great job Asus). There are a variety of microphone modes to adjust noise cancelling in the MyAsus app. I used this for video chatting with family using Google Meet and they said that both the sound and image were clear. 8. Touch screen and multi-touch touchpad work great to allow you to leave your mouse at home. The touch screen is great for my younger daughter who sometimes has difficulty using the mouse/touch pad. Using two fingers/pinch to zoom in/out (on screen or on the touchpad) works better than using my mouse's scroll wheel. 9. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work great. I am connected using an older Wi-Fi mesh network and signal strength has been excellent in every room (better than my iPhone). My Bluetooth mouse connected instantly and has been working great. 10. The included USB-C charging cord is 6.5 ft long and gives you some options to find a plug on the go. 11. The included MyAsus app is really useful. I regularly use it to adjusting settings and monitor system performance. It also offers basic support, Asus update notifications, and product registration options. Things to Consider 1. The DDR5 RAM is fast, but the limited 8GB available (non-upgradable) is also the biggest drawback to this laptop. This means that this laptop is meant for casual use (like school work, email, web browsing, watching videos, and basic Office applications). I never experienced a performance issue - no lag at all (Windows does a good job of RAM management), but I saw RAM utilization of around 80-90% regularly with light multitasking. 2. The lower amount of RAM also means that you miss out on better integrated graphics (like the Intel Arc GPU), instead this laptop is limited to the standard Intel Integrated Graphics. I had no trouble with multiple screens (the built-in screen, plus one FHD at 60hz) for casual use, but this laptop should not be used for most modern video games and would likely struggle with any video editing/processing (beyond very basic changes). 3. The SSD storage (hard drive) is reasonably fast (up to 4,200MB/s read and 1,800MB/s write), made by Micron (very solid), and there is a minimal amount of preinstalled software - leaving 420GB of free space. This is an adequate amount of storage, but modern apps and videos can eat up space quickly so this might be an issue for some people. There is also no SD card reader, so you will need an adapter if you regularly use those. 4. The speakers are good for a light weight laptop, but they are a bit flat despite the harmon/kardon and Dolby Atmos labels. They do not distort (even at max volume), volume is good, there are lots of equalizer options, and the sound stage is a decent size (directly in front of the laptop), but the low-end response (bass) is just adequate.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED combines a stunning 14-inch FHD+ OLED touch display with the latest Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, offering smooth everyday performance in a sleek, lightweight design. Its vivid colors, deep blacks, and comfortable keyboard make it a pleasure to use for work or entertainment, while the Intel Evo certification ensures strong battery life and quick responsiveness. Though 8 GB of RAM may limit heavy multitasking and brightness could be better outdoors, it remains an excellent choice for those seeking portability, style, and reliable performance.

Awesome Little Machine - Zenbook by ASUS is a Hit!

It's hard to complain about anything regarding this Zenbook. Considering its compact size, the specs are more than impressive. The computer came packaged incredibly well and was easy to set up. I was up and running in minutes. After about 30 minutes of Windows updates, this little machine was purring along. First impression of the build quality is excellent. The sightlines are impressive all around. The metal is machined perfectly and all the edges are nice and smooth. The keyboard has a great feel for its size. The reponse of the keys is excellent and the feedback from each key has a good feel. The backlight keyboard is a home run for me, especially when using the computer in dark light conditions. The 14" OLED looks excellent. The screen is bright and the characters are clear with zero blur. Characters are easy to read and the colors are true to form. Images appear lifelike and the contrast is excellent. The Intel Core processor is more than enough for my needs which are Google Docs, E-Mail, Surfing the Web, Video Playback, Watching Movies, and YouTube. The computer never hesitated when throwing anything at it. Multitasking was never an issue for this Laptop. Overall this is an impressive machine and I expect it to last me many years. ASUS was on the mark when building this 14" Zenbook. I highly recommend for most users, unless you are looking for a computer for gaming. For any business user, home computer enthusiast, or corporate traveler, this is perfect. I cannot speak of any cons on this computer. ASUS simply nailed it.

14" ASUS Zenbook - Loving it

This is the second ASUS laptop that I’ve bought, and I’m quite pleased with it. My husband uses the other one, and I haven’t heard any complaints. This ASUS 14” Zenbook is just right for me. I have a larger laptop, but sometimes that is too large and heavy for carting around. This smaller one is nice and portable for me. This is a Windows operating system computer, and works a lot like my other big laptop. I like the facial recognition on this ASUS laptop, which makes it easier to log in, instead of typing in my PIN every time. Not that that is difficult, but anything that makes it easier to use my laptop, I’ll take it. Of course, I still want some security, which is why I don’t turn that part off. There is a ridged sliding shutter closer (for lack of a better description) on the top edge of the case, above the camera. It looks a lot better than a piece of electrical tape. The keyboard is fairly standard, and has two levels of brightness for the backlit keyboard. This comes in handy when typing while sitting in a darker area. This is something I decided is a necessity for me at this point in life, mid-life, that is. The ASUS Lumina OLED display screen is very nice. It looks great. For those who are interested, the brightness is 500 nits. I have seen that specification asked about before, so there it is. This is a non-technical, technical review. This is a touchscreen, something I didn’t expect at this price point. I don’t use that option very much, but it is nice to have. The lid of the laptop is easy to open. I say that because I have a different laptop that is really hard to pry open, and I think it is important from a design standpoint to be mentioned. The battery life is really great. I tend to use this ASUS laptop at night when I’m sitting on my couch, and don’t need to charge it a lot. I can sit there for three hours and not need to plug the laptop in, which is always ideal. Overall this is a great addition to my laptop lineup, and I’m excited that I will be able to take this portable 14” laptop with me wherever I need to!

Picked this up on Black Friday for my daughter, for college. Display has great color and brightness. can view at almost any angle. Keyboard has good feel and action. And it’s perfectly powered for normal computing. Battery has stayed at 100% for hours in idle. Speakers are much better than my dell by far. Bought this because was super light for her to carry and battery life. Gotta say I’m quite impressed so far.

Light and snappy laptop. I wish it had touch screen and a dedicate keyboard key to turn off the screen. To turn off the screen, you would have to set power setting to turn it off after a fixed period of time. Kinda annoying. Every laptop I own so far have a key to turn off the screen immediately. And despite using a snap dragon CPU, it does generate some heat on the bottom of the unit. I would expect the unit to run cool w/o heat like a cell phone when I'm using it just to browse the web.

I have not owned a PC since 2018 when I bought my first Macbook. I thought then I would never own another PC because of the overall experience of using a Macbook. The Zenbook 14 has been my first PC since then. I never went back to a PC, I never felt the experience of using a PC was up there with using a Macbook, namely because of the performance. Since owning the Zenbook 14 it has been a huge joy. I love the keyboard, and the overall speed of the device for only having 8GB of RAM. With the build quality, screen, speakers, and port selection, this device right now is a steal. I decided to go with the Zenbook 14 because I was originally looking for a Chromebook. However, there isn't a Chromebook at this price range that offers the Specs this device has. The device is just a joy to use.

Great laptop for general tasks like web browsing, office work and light gaming. The screen is beautiful and has a decent pixel density for the screen size so text looks crisps and videos look amazing due to the OLED screen. Battery life is AMAZING, get all day battery life. Bottom does get a little warm but nothing crazy. I highly recommend picking this up when it is on sale, full MSRP is too much due to the 8GB of RAM.
