The Zenbook 14 is a very sleek and lightweight laptop. It is less than 3 pounds. And it has a nice grey look to it, which doesnt seem to keep fingerprint smudges. I have been looking for a solid laptop for my daughter for college and this checked all of the necessary boxes. It has a very nice 14 inch OLED display, that is both bright and crisp, and its able to lay completely flat. I was surprised to see ASUS switch to a USB-C type charging cable, which I find to be extremely convenient as opposed to a proprietary one like on my other ASUS laptop. Out of the box it comes with 32 GBs or RAM, so I know it will be able to handle the 20+ tabs open on Chrome that my daughter has to have open at all times. It's powered by a 16 core Intel Core Ultra 9 processor that maintains a steady 2.9Ghz frequency but can boost up to 5.1 Ghz. My daughter primarilorwill use it for every day computing use of photo editing software and drawing, so it seems like a perfect fit. The only real downside for this laptop is the gpu, so it's not really going to be able to play games. But overall I think its a very solid College computer.

This Zenbook notebook pairs one of Intel's most powerful laptop CPUs with an impressively sleek yet sturdy design. This particular model isn't the top spec in every regard, but I like the component choices Asus made for it. After using it for about a week, I have nothing significant to really criticize. Right away, this computer made a favorable impression. It's not the thinnest laptop I've used, but is easy to handle and very light. Nonetheless, the build quality seems solid and it feels like it's made out of premium materials. The port selection is good; I appreciate the inclusion of USB type-A and HDMI, even though I'm satisfied using adapters with USB type-C ports. The included power adapter has a permanently attached USB cable (if adapters are going to use USB PD, I appreciate a separate cable that can be replaced) but that is inconsequential. On first start-up, I noticed how nice the OLED screen looked. This is the first laptop I've used with OLED, and it really does look nice. Although Asus has a 120 Hz 3K OLED screen as the top-spec option for these Zenbooks, I find 60 Hz and the 1920x1200 resolution of this model to be perfectly adequate. In fact, the pixel density is pretty much perfect for me, just as it is. The trackpad feels good and works well. I also really like the feel of the keyboard - I think I would rate it as one of the top two or three laptop keyboards that I've used. Commendably, Asus has not saddled this with a bunch of software bloat out of the box. The Zenbook had a very clean experience, with the only "extra" I noticed by the MyASUS application. And even that application has uses beyond running factory diagnostics and downloading drivers. It exposes some useful settings, like an optional Battery Care mode that smartly limits charging to 80% to extend the lifespan if you frequently keep the laptop plugged in. (I've become a fan of such features, especially when they easily allow charging to 100% when you'll need to work off battery for an extended time.) Speaking of battery life, this laptop has markedly improved battery runtime compared to the last Intel-based laptop I used. I think this is mostly due to the power efficiency improvements Intel has made than the size of the battery. Having heavily used an ARM-based laptop over the last year, I can't quite call the battery life "impressive," but it's certainly still very good (and with an Intel CPU, this laptop won't suffer from the various minor software incompatibilities I've noticed over time with Windows on ARM). The performance is very good, as it should be with a Core 9-designated CPU. Everything has felt snappy. The extra RAM on this particular model doesn't hurt to have, either. (As a software developer, I appreciate having more memory.) Although I haven't noticed it to be a drag on the system, I did observe that the included SSD's benchmarked speeds fall short of the best Gen 4 drives. Luckily, the NVMe drive on this model is replaceable if I eventually feel the need to have a faster one. The integrated Arc GPU is a significant improvement for Intel chips and can capably handle some light gaming. Intel did not include an NPU that meets Microsoft's requirements for the Copilot+ AI features in the chip used in this Zenbook, but all the regular AI features of Windows 11 are supported just fine. All-in-all, this is a good computer, and I would recommend it for most people. For people after the absolute best battery life, I think an ARM (Snapdragon X) laptop will serve better. Gamers may not be satisfied with the integrated GPU, as much improved as it is. Other than those use cases, though, I don't think this Zenbook model would disappoint anyone that values a highly portable computer with plenty of power for productivity tasks, or a beautiful OLED display for media consumption.

Unboxing – Let me start by saying I a big fan of the way that ASUS packages that upscale laptop. They are well protected and the way that the laptop pops up when you open the box is really pretty cool. Inside the box, you’ll find all the basic things you would expect with the laptop. Touch and feel – This seems pretty sturdy for a 14-inch laptop – Others have not so much but for its size this one seems to be robust. I really like the touch and feel of the keyboard – the key spacing is good and has a very good feel to it. I have wide hands and find sometimes the space to be a problem when typing but didn’t experience that with this keyboard. As for the trackpad – IT has some nice features, and it is quite large for this size – the ability to use sliders on the top and side for various volume and screen control is a value-add feature – I kind of wish they’d screened it onto the laptop rather than the pull off protection. The pad function was adequate – a few times it had problems tracking my movements and taps but nothing out of the ordinary that I have seen on others. The lid and screen seem sturdy – not always the case in a 14-inch thin profile laptop. Overall, I’m really impressed in this area. Setup - not sure why every Windows PC takes 2 days' worth of updates (maybe exaggerating a bit but it seems way too long) – I know I’ve posted this before however it is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. After setup things were ready – there were a bit of “free” trials that I had to opt out of but nothing major, this is a positive as I’ve had other vendors be much more persistent in loading stuff that you don’t need or want. It is loaded with Windows 11 Home and works as you would expect. Functionally – not really sure how to rate the laptop as it really depends upon your particular needs and what your end use for the laptop will be. If you want to use it for basic office-type work (email, MS Office, web browsing, etc..) this system is more than enough. If you're looking for something with high graphics or video rendering then I would recommend something else – I did find that in graphic intense games, it struggles a bit and video rendering chewed up most of the system resources but nothing that caused it to crash. As far as the hardware the camera works very well for video conferencing, and it performed almost flawlessly with Windows Hello – I think I only had one hiccup during my test time, and that may have been due to ambient lighting. No issues with the ports are and other hardware, however a couple of small things. While it does have 2 USB C ports and an HDMI it only has one USB A port – a 2nd one would have been nice. The other thing is the location of the power switch on the keyboard – it is the second key on the top right – a bit of an odd placement, out of habit I press the key beside it to turn it on. The WiFi was very fast in the same room and had pretty strong signal strength as I moved away from the router source. Not the best I’ve seen but still able to stream 4K without any issues until I was outside of my house. I hooked it up to a USB C doc and experienced no issues or system drag. Bottomline – This is a great little laptop for the common user – probably a bit stronger than you really need. If you’re looking for a gaming or video rendering capability this will function however there are limitations. Overall, ASUS has a strong system, and I would recommend it.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 laptop has a beautiful OLED FHD+ (WUXGA?) screen with intel ARC graphics. There is an intel core ultra 9 processor, a 1 TB SSD and 32 GB Ram. There are 2 USB C ports, 1 USB A port, a HDMI port and a mini-plug port for audio. I love it that this laptop charges through a USB C port so that I don't have to travel with a dedicated bulky transformer. I have also come to love the dedicated Copilot button on the keyboard. While I haven't fully explored AI, it is very handy to ask Copilot questions from whatever you are doing. I have also discovered having Copilot create images that I describe. My granddaughters love some of the copilot generated images we asked for together. The video quality is top notch as is the Dolby Atmos sound. The trackpad is set up so that you can scroll, adjust the volume and adjust the brightness simply by sliding your finger in the designated area. This is the first trackpad I have used that has this handy feature. The initial setup was simple, but I will say that there seemed to be a more than the average amount of downloads, updates etc. the first few days. There is one issue I have yet to resolve, Microsoft has installed links to all of the folders I have in Microsoft One Cloud. These links occupy about half of my desktop. I like to keep my desktop sparsely populated with the few things I frequently use. I tried to copy the links to a single folder but found that the OS wanted to copy the contents (not just links) of the files to the folder (estimated to take many hours). I'm not sure whether this was a result of Microsoft setting up my account on this computer or perhaps an external drive I could have used. This isn't a big deal but a bit frustrating. This computer is lightweight, thin, has killer graphics and sound, a large fast SSD and 32 gigs of ram. The keyboard and trackpad are comfortable and work well. There is a lot to love in this little powerhouse.

Asus Zenbook 14" with FHD+OLED pen and touch screen. This is an awesome compact PC that can neatly fit in a tote bag or backpack while commuting. As the owner of a small t-shirt business and hobbyist, I use several programs for image creation, graphic design, digital art, and photo editing. I will have to say that this Zenbook's FHD+OLED display color accuracy is on point! When streaming, the image quality is unbelievable! This Zenbook comes equipped with CoPilot AI free version. CoPilot helps me tremendously with my productivity, just type a prompt, and a few seconds later I have the digital art that would have taken hours to create! Included in my box: ZenBook and 65W power supply cable. Getting started- The ZenBook automatically recognize my WiFi home network. After signing in to Microsoft and setting up the security features, PIN and Face recognition the updates start. This took about 15 minutes for the first updates, then about 45 minutes to install all updates and drivers. I also had the option to setup the Zenbook from one of my other computer backups. This is nice if you want to sync your network PC's. The ZenBook has a backlit keyboard, one USB-Type A, two Thunderbolt USB-C, one HDMI, and one combo audio jack. Weight is less than 3lbs. This Zenbook will help with my productivity in my small business. Highly recommend.

This asus laptop is very sleek and lightweight making it convenient for mobile use and transporting. As advertised it displays colors more vibrantly and has sharper image quality than many other similar laptops. The speed and processing power works well for day to day applications like word processing and video streaming but falls short when doing creative work like video editing, design, or playing games with low to mid level graphics. One issue with the slim design are all the ports are very snug. I had particular issues with the usb-c port that I was afraid would wear out over time trying to get the plug(s) in and out repeatedly. I did contact customer service and they told me 5is is not typical and was sent a replacement. They were very responsive. I had other issues with some ports like the 3mm jack and connecting headphones that were corrected with the replacement. So it seems the first one had port issues that are not typical. The camera quality is higher than I am used to for a laptop and has a physical slide to turn it on and off. It will also turn off automatically if the environment light is too low. Useful function but annoying if it cuts off without notice The laptop came with only the usb-c charging block and laptop also with quick start instructions. The setup was easy and typical windows which takes around 5-1 minutes initially but allow extra for the windows update that always follows.

Pretty ok laptop... its powerful and compact. The battery doesn't last longer than 8-9 hours which is disappointing. It gets really hot if you don't change some setting out of the box. The game performance of the 140T is a bit disappointing compared to the 140v in the Intel 256V laptop that I've been using but intel have been pushing out drivers so hopefully it gets better. Its a good laptop but thermals and battery life are the things that bring it down to 3 stars.
