Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Zenbook 14" Laptop for its great value, lightweight design, long battery life, comfortable keyboard, and reliable performance. It is suitable for general productivity, light gaming, and college courses. On the downside, some users have concerns about the limited RAM upgradability, occasional heating issues, limited number of USB ports, small storage capacity, and fan noise.

For now this get 5 stars. We returned the acer nitro because it wouldn’t even turn on for this. It’s smooth sleek and you can multitask on it with regards to gaming. If you have a beginner gamer and don’t want to spend a lot get this!

I use this Laptop as my everyday PC. I am hard and always mobile and I have found out over the years that Asus tend to be durable and hard to break. Just wish I would have purchased it with a 500GB SSD instead of the 250 GB SSD.

i5, awesome 14” full hd screen, speakers are good, mx450 will be handy in occasional basic gaming and video editing. Usb-c supports docking stations. My alternative was to get a macbook air, glad I did not waste money.

This is the first Zenbook product that I've owned, and I have to say that I am very impressed. The build quality is second to none, and the performance is more than adequate. BUILD The body is all metal, and it feels very solid. It stays cool to the touch even when under a heavy CPU load. I'm also a big fan of the one-finger lift to open; the hinge has been engineered very well. HARDWARE The keyboard is clickier than most laptop keyboards I've tried in the past, and that's a good thing to me. I type faster and with more accuracy when I have more key travel, and I can fly with this keyboard. The layout is a little odd with the Home/PgUp/PgDn/End buttons over on the right, but I got used to having my hands slightly off-center fairly quickly. The trackpad is incredible. It's nice and wide, very smooth, and the palm rejection is great for any accidental touches while typing. I didn't expect much from the speakers since they're down-firing, but I've actually been quite impressed. The surface the laptop is on definitely impacts the sound quality (sounds far better on a desk/table than on my lap or on the bed). The screen is adequate. It's a full 1920x1080 panel, but that's pushing it on a screen this big. I would've liked to have seen something above 1080p to help with scaling, but it's in no way a deal breaker - and it's an acceptable place to hold back to keep the price low. PERFORMANCE This is my first experience with a Ryzen 5 CPU, and I'm quite impressed. Nothing in my day-to-day tasks has managed to slow this laptop down (multiple Chrome tabs, Spotify, Google Meet meetings, etc.). It's a little slower than I had expected at rendering video through Adobe Media Encoder, but I'm pretty sure that's more closely related to having 8GB of RAM instead of 16. I've done some light gaming (Stardew Valley, Civilization 6 on medium settings, and streaming via Stadia) and the performance meets expectations. With a machine this thin and light and with only 8GB of RAM, there's only so much it can do. BATTERY LIFE I'm averaging about 7 hours of battery life on a charge so far with moderate usage. That's keeping the brightness around 75%; I imagine you could push 8 or even 8:30 with the brightness a little lower. The included adapter charges the laptop relatively quickly, just know that the bottom of the device gets quite warm when charging. All in all, I'm impressed with this machine, especially for the price. It's lightweight, and built very impressively.

Perfect for my needs. Very fast versus similar priced computer from three years ago. Could have paid more for 16 Gb of Ram, but not that much into gaming. Very light. I recommend it for business purposes.

Replaced a previous Asus that had a broken hinge. The price was great. This one is better than last one. I use as my work laptop and it is the perfect size for traveling. Does everything I need it to do.

When on sale for under $500, this laptop is a good deal. You can use this laptop for school, as well for gaming. This laptop does get hot during gaming, so I recommend using a laptop cooling pad.

Great buy--very impressed with the speed and power. I bought a a levvo but returned it cause it would not turn on after third day of using so for another 200 bucks I grabbed this for 700 and it was well worth it.

Definite bang for your buck. I also have a much more expensive Asus ZenBook Air, and I hate to admit it but I like this one better. Very sturdy, and user friendly. Would recommend.

So in all honesty was a decent computer but lacked the power needed to run devices that were the whole reason for purchasing. The Cortana while cool was annoying and the reminders to purchase Microsoft 365 were rather tacky. Windows ten is a terrible OS and the shere fact that in order to utilize the one USB port for everything got old fast. When I was using the one port the playback on streaming and Twitch was choppy and slow. Computer itself was also very slow in comparison to my old 2008 Windows 7 Asus Laptop (still works to this day).

Beautiful design, long lasting battery, gorgeous display, sleek metal finish(but it's still plastic), window hello works great. And yes it can play video games. This version also comes with a headphone jack,
