Customers appreciate the Zenbook 14" Laptop for its great value, lightweight design, long battery life, comfortable keyboard, and reliable performance. I got this laptop on sale for $540, and it is a bang for every buck!
First of all, the Ryzen 5 processor is super smooth and day to day handling is a breeze. No matter if you are throwing a bunch of chrome tabs, while doing a zoom call, and also have several files open on the side, you will face no hiccups at all.
I have been a Mac user for the past few years, so I was a little anxious about how the screen quality will be, and was glad to find that it is, while not head to head with a Macbook Pro's display, it is still pretty great. Some of the users have cited issues with the screen brightness, but personally I cannot add to that, since I have mostly been using this one indoors and only have to turn up the brightness to only 60%. Also, for some reason, the feed from the webcam is brighter than MB Pro in low lighting conditions, which kind of improves the experience during video calls. It also has a dedicated webcam key on the keyboard, which is nice.
Build quality is great, it looks and feels premium and is very light. The lack of sizable bezels around the screen makes it look very modern as well. The sound quality is also good and can get pretty loud. Also has three different presets for keyboard backlighting.
For upgradability - You can upgrade the SSD, and it also has a micro-sd card slot. You cant upgrade the RAM though, but the LPDDR4X RAM is plenty fast, and unless you do really RAM intensive stuff, it shouldn't bother you for the next couple of years.
Coming to gaming, I was surprised at how the 12W Nvidia MX450 GPU (with 2GB DDR6 VRAM) holds up in day to day usage. I am not a super hard-core gamer, but I have been able to test a few titles on it, and consistently get(or exceed) 60 FPS on games from early 2013 to Late 2019. Some of them include - Gears 5 (60 FPS on 1080p Medium), Sunset Overdrive (60 FPS on 1080p Ultra), Bioshock Infinite (60FPS Very High, 1080p), Batman: Arkham Knight (60 FPS, 720p Medium), Fallout 4 (90-100FPS, 1080p Ultra).
One of the issues you might run into in newer games is the 2GB VRAM limit, but you can drop the resolution, or turn of a few bells and whistles on the way to get a good experience. But do expect that a lot of games before 2018 will run on Ultra/Very High at 60+ FPS (with a few exceptions of course). While the MX450 does not have a lot of benchmarking videos available on YouTube, if you want to get a rough idea for how a game will perform on this GPU, search for their Nvidia GTX 1050 benchmarks instead, as its performance is very similar to the MX450 (Plus or minus 5 frames maybe in some games). Also if you want to game regularly, please invest in a laptop cooling pad as this one can run pretty hot during prolonged gaming session (pretty usual for ultrabooks with dedicated GPUs), though in my experience, temperatures never exceeds 85C. But, it feels amazing that you can run AAA titles in respectable graphical settings on a less than 3 pound ultrabook!
So to summarize, excellent laptop for work, and considering the price, pretty amazing for a gaming ultraportable. I see its currently selling for $670, which is still a good price point considering what it offers.

We got this laptop for our son as he went into high school. It has been a handy computer for all of his needs. It has seemed to handle his life & his needs & we are quite grateful! We've had to get the screen fixed a couple times now, but with the geek squad protection plan, we haven't had to pay for that. So we are quite happy!

We were looking for a laptop for our 8 year old grandchild that had great space and was good for gaming. This one had it all and my husband agreed that this laptop was user friendly and capable of growing with her as far as functions. It was a good price and purchasing a one year warranty was also a great I vestment.

The battery life is not the best even if the task isn’t that resource consuming. Can get hot when it’s just on the desktop, but other than that it’s good and can handle some big tasks when the fans are louder than a ps4.

I bought this over two years ago and it still works great with no issues. I don't use it daily, however. It is backup or when I am not at my PC.

So far, so good. Started up and set-up quickly. Bought a wireless mouse for close work as the pad is ok for a little while, but becomes tedious to use, as with all laptops. Facial recognition makes signing in secure and fast. Performance is fast and reliable. Very good purchase for the price.

This computer is speedy quick, handles task prettt nicely. Only issue i had was it restarting after waking it from sleep. The issue resolved when windows 11 rolled out which let me know it was a software issue. Great overall and i can even play some of my favorite games!

I purchased this Zenbook for use as a work computer, with some potential for light gaming, and so far I am extremely satisfied.
- Build quality is great.
- Keyboard layout has allowed me to type efficiently (personal preference).
- Sound is great, very comparable to my ASUS with a 3070 GPU intended for gaming.
- Size is great for portability and efficient use.
- Port availability is great, specifically loving that it charges via USB C.
The only complaint I have so far which isn't really one is that many reviews noted that a laptop sleeve came with the laptop, however, in my sealed box, this was not present anywhere in the case/packaging. Was not really worth my time to return just for that, but worth noting (it should have been behind cardboard in the lid of the box once opened).
Time will tell if this lives up to my expectations of it, but I am hopeful! Worth a shot if the specs match your desires.

I purchased this for my little sister to use for college work. Love the RYzen processors in small form factor laptops like this. The power draw is low so the battery has a long life. This is a thin unit with very nice build quality. Highly recommend.

This little laptop is great, full alloy chassis, face unlock, backlit display, and a dedicated graphics card!
I havnt found a laptop that can beat it!
It came with windows 10 not 11, which is a plus as windows 11 is still very buggy
The only 2 cons are the system really gets hot while playing games, and the screen has slight blemishes from pressure on the bezels when the screen is black.

Fantastic 14" laptop. The dedicated graphics at this price range make this the cheapest gaming laptop you can find at the time of my purchase. It's bascially a Gtx 1050 but with only 2GB of vram. 8GB of ram at 4200mhz is fast, but not upgradable or replaceable. Ssd is easy to replace if you wish to do so, but 256GB can still go a long way. This laptop is great for medium quality gaming, video editing can be done, just not as fast as a proper editing pc. Battery lasts a long time for watching videos or even longer if just using a text document. Gaming can get around 3-4 hours on battery for me. Trackpad is fantastic. It's better than a trackpad on a $1500 laptop that I have. However it is bigger than I personally want just due to how I type, but it all works fine.

So, the product came brand new, some minor glitches with screen freezing after laptop's been left unattended (sleeping) for a while that goes away within 10 seconds. It's a good laptop, I just personally do not prefer the type of keyboard (prefer the Lenovo ones...) and the screen ratio (it's noticeably less tall so the screen feels more small than a 14" screen should be. Overall, good product, great durability (because of the metal build), great battery life, the metal gives it a nice touch,
I wish I returned it when I could because the personal preference issues still bug me months after using this product. I thought I would get used to it but nope. Recommendation for people to not just look at pictures, but try to find videos of people using the product so you can "feel" how the product is used (online shopping is hard like that).

Overall a great working laptop, with thin body and sleek design, it’s very light which makes it easy to carry and it’s also fast. I don’t like that it only has one USB port so I had to purchase an additional multiport USB adapter to be able to use more devices at the same time. I misread the specs and did not realize it does not have a touchscreen either, but it’s a nice screen with good resolution. The keyboard is not easy to see in some light conditions even with the light on.

I was doubting this small laptop's performance. I was wrong! The perfomance of this laptop is so powerful. It can smoothly play Overwatch (with a little trick)! Only one flaw is that it just has 8GB ram which is not enough in 2021.

Great laptop. Very efficient. Performs well and you can have SEVERAL windows open at once, which is what I needed for work. I trust this brand and I’m so glad I chose this laptop with the help of a knowledgeable sales associate.
