The build quality and components seem excellent, but the Core Ultra 7 155H chip is just… not good. Compared to the previous generation of Zenbook 14 it takes approximately 30% longer to accomplish CPU heavy tasks like code compilation.

It’s a beast. I’ve been using it as my main work laptop, which means long hours every day. Battery life is excellent. It gets a little warm, but not enough to take away from its excellent performance and the joy of using it.

It’s smaller that what we had but this has resulted I a very convenient feature when carrying it around. We haven’t had any issues contrary to what happened with a Lenovo laptop that we had to return a few weeks after we bought it.
We love this laptop for our work use and personal. The only improvement we would request is a better pixel cammera capability

Too much screen glare and body flex

Two major issues with this device. The first cannot be fixed whereas the second may be specific to my device
First the laptop screen is obnoxiously glossy which makes it difficult to read indoors when in a brightly lit room with how reflective it is even at maximum brightness as it lacks any kind of anti-glare coating. For a nearly $1500 iGPU laptop this is unacceptable, OLED or not.
Second the laptop looks great but there is considerable flex despite it being an all metal construction. The issue appear to be the way the plastic shell used to mount the motherboard to the system. As a result opening the laptop lid produces what can only be described as a crinkly rice-crispy sort of sound as the motherboard flexes with the hinge action of opening the lid. Plastic tabs are used to secure the bottom plate to the top half of the chassis and make clicking noises when pressed at the edges as if the tabs are broken. I opened my unit to see if I could isolate where the noise was coming from in an effort to fix an otherwise great laptop when i noticed several motherboard screws were missing; at this point I sent the unit back.

A Disappointing Experience

I initially had high hopes for the Asus laptop, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. From persistent display issues to inadequate customer support, this laptop has proven to be a significant disappointment.
The Persistent Display Issue - First it was USB C not connecting and playing well with external devices (speakers and monitors). The PC would run hot and at full tilt. Sent it for 2 repairs. Came back with the same issue plus a new one.
Every time I connected both the HDMI cable and the charger. The external screen on my Asus laptop would go blank, rendering the setup unusable. This issue was not application-specific and occurred consistently across different tasks. Strangely, the display would function normally as soon as the charger was removed.
Despite sending the laptop in for repairs twice, the problem persisted. Each repair took several weeks, and the inconvenience of being without a functional laptop for almost six months cannot be overstated. The so-called 'repairs' did not resolve the issue, indicating a deeper flaw in the laptop's design or hardware.
My repeated attempts to seek assistance from Asus’s customer support were met with inadequate solutions and empty promises. I even provided a video recording of the issue , yet the problem remained unresolved.
After months of dealing with this defective product and ineffective repairs, I requested a full refund. My request was denied, which has only added to my frustration. I have lost all trust in the reliability of this laptop and the company's commitment to its customers.
I can’t recommend the Asus laptop to anyone. The persistent display issues, compounded by poor customer service and refusal to offer a refund, have made this one of the worst tech purchases I’ve ever made. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a reliable laptop.

Open Box item missing charger

This review is mostly about the open box experience. My Open Box arrived with the laptop unprotected against carton, all smudged with finger prints and a brown streak in one corner (looked like dirt). But worse, the high power and lightweight charger this laptop comes with is missing. This was a truly an "open box by previous buyer and let it go" experience. For those used to Apple Store's similar system, this is not that. Apple will send you a laptop that feels new in all senses, including packaging. The laptop I received from BB and categorized as Excellent, feels put back in a box with no attention to details, with documentation bent, broken carton tabs, etc. For a $60 discount on a $1,300 item, I expected a close to new experience. I called customer service and they told me to go to a Best Buy and ask for "a charger". That is not the issue. The missing charger is a high-end item, not any USB-C charger. Considering returning the whole thing. I have not used best buy in a long time, I am very disappointed. Not sure if the laptop works or not yet as my expirieced was ruined.

I really want to love this laptop. It looks beautiful, has a great screen, and when it’s working, it seems fast and powerful. Unfortunately as others have mentioned, any graphics intensive activities like running Lightroom or trying to run videos while doing other activities causes a blue screen of death after about 5-10 minutes

Good but problems...

After using 12 days returned it. Over all it's a good computer but when I close the lid it go to sleep then open it up and start using it, it shows so much lag and not able to work some time show disk usage 100% had this couple of time and returned it. It fix automatically if you restart it but you lost all your work. Either a hardware issue or software not sure.
Second display screen is as thick as whole laptop. They defiantly need to reduce the screen thickness. If you close with little force it will slam itself.

Swapped this over my Sammy 360 3 pro 16”- The screen is better. The footprint is better. The processor is better, it has double the ram. The Arc GPU card is integrated and better. Having the IR camera is a win . The only thing you’ll miss is that the Samsung keyboard is low travel, and more clicky with the 10 key. Let’s talk about price. This has better specs than something with almost triple the price tag. Uhscuseme? Just buy it
